Awesome review, very informative and with the right level of technical details. This synth is super tempting, so expressive and… so 70s in its beige livery 🔥
Dr. Mix is great with his infectuous enthusiasm but he's better watched for demoing classic synths rather than a broad overview of a new synth and its features
Awesome - I tried the original polybrute in our local music shop and had a ‘chromey’ tone like the Rob Papen vsti Blade. Sounds like they’ve changed the native tone style a bit for the 12 and I think that might be right move. The new look is great too.
I Think we're starting to get closer to "Vangelis and Yamaha CS80 territory", but I'm not actually sure if it's there yet or not. The CS-80 could / can vibrate each key (if I'm not mistaken) so you could get a vibrated type string sound, like on a cello or violin. Perhaps this can do it in another way and perhaps it can do much more. It looks and sounds great!!!! A bit out of my price range though!!!
I don't think so. Cuz the pad will affect the whole range of pressed keys, but the polyphonic aftertouch will only affect the keys you are pressing harder. So individual control over notes. Let me know if I'm wrong :)
U call that thing a monster...? it deserves a better descritpion.. its just amazing what Arturia brings us... all the time... REspect to that company realy.... what a Beauty,..... who dares wins!
I've grown away from any synth with a ton of knobs, menu diving, and costs more than 3k USD. I think the Astrolab was a refreshing, to the point kind of synth reasonably priced.
Despite the hate they get Behringer is the most reasonable with their prices where else can you get a 12 voice synth, with aftertouch, a 32 step mod matrix & built in effects at less than a grand? I've owned my deep mind for a while now and I've never heard anyone say anything negative about it
LOL Polybrute SIMFF.... Love the London accent but mate.. Cant beat a Northern accent... RAAVER as opposed to Rather.. We need to celebrate the Englaish language and never shy away from our heritage !!!! The synth sounds so similar to the original.. but love the new features.. !!! Gotta say, if you need your sound to be immediate in your mix then the Sequential series are better but as an all round poke you in the eye and create esoteric stuff... Polybrute.. Go Arturia
I like the color choice alot more with this one .. that cream Oberheim color looks so good
Beautiful synth. Now I just need to wait for that 90% off sale. Next month, maybe?
lovely demo, for someone such as myself (quite unfamiliarised with the Arturia ecosystem) this was incredibly enlightening. cheers!

The nice man forgot to unbutton the top button!
@Cheeses_K_Ricedit’s a style choice 😂
The red glow coming through the black grills is a nice effect
And the girls work completely passive. So no blowing. Because the grills are at the top and bottom it uses a physical way of cooling the voices.
yeah i aint watching this without the regular andertons synth dude.
Quite a dry and professional presentation, now give it to DR.MIX to excite me creatively 😊
Dr. Mix is great with his infectuous enthusiasm but he's better watched for demoing classic synths rather than a broad overview of a new synth and its features
Sounds majestic! Jack looks different today ;P
Great demo , thanks 👍🏻💖
Finally we can talk about it
Jack looks different and is less fun today 🤔

It has the exact same tone style and exact same voices (voice boards). The only changed the included presets that utilities the expression :)
@@MrVoonix it’ll still be awesome. Just heard through phone speaker.
@@MrVoonix and also I think it was default set to a LP filter bias/orientation and there are the other filters which will benefit from that
@@guymorrison4800 yes its awesome. never said different :) I love my polybrute. my favourite synth ever.
Polyphonic morphing ? Wtf man I need that
Finally a synth that rivals the memorymoog.
@Cheeses_K_Riced No. I think it does other things... It's it's own thing.
I think Memorymoog, Yamaha CS-80 and this Polybrute 12 are synthesizers that are on the same level.

monster of a synth
Isn’t the morph pad on the left of the keyboard now redundant based on the poly aftertouch& full touch?
I don't think so. Cuz the pad will affect the whole range of pressed keys, but the polyphonic aftertouch will only affect the keys you are pressing harder. So individual control over notes. Let me know if I'm wrong :)
Change the poly aftertouch to channel aftertouch and you achieve the same thing.@@shehzadamurthy1983

@@loweni7460 The Behringer UBXA has definitely caught my eye!

What has happened to MIDI 2?
Are MPE compatibility and the revamped PB Connect coming to the original PB as well?
Cool
Love it when its cool .????
The design's giving me some serious hospital ICU ca. 1975 vibes. Propably a good thing, since the price almost gave me a heart attack.
If you want more modern ICU gear, buy a Waldorf Kyra. 😁
Yummie.😊❤
😃Excellent😃

$4000
Still cheaper than a CS-80. Although, not sure if I wouldn't just buy an Osmose eventually.
This looks incredible, but is just way too much synth for me.
Interesting! It’d be great to hear it actually played by someone who can really play it, instead of just holding chords.
Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk.....
It’s amazing how you can jam so many features into a synth and still not make it special. Sad state of affairs
Osmose is better :P
Osmose is different…
Excellent upgrades in features, but what an ugly design... it used to be a good looking synth.
Noir edition should fix it
It looks like a 1975 station wagon
Agreed.
I really like it
I think it’s gorgeous!
My Casio VL-1 is far better!
1st?
