everything i do it sounds like the vocals are smashed together and idk shit about nothing and it's pissing me off. how do i get my vocals not to sound so drunk? btw im on the free plan
The biggest thing is looking at how you are recording. What's the input quality like? Try to make it as clean as possible (there's a bunch of tutorials on YT looking at how to optimise your home recording setup on a budget)... then its about mixing it better. Use a reference mix and listen to the frequencies that the vocals occupy. An EQ is your best friend. Soundtrap has both Visual and non-visual (free) so you can check that out. There's also some vocal presets you can experiment with too. Leave your track on our Discord's feedback channels too if you want to get more opinions from our community. - Kish from Soundtrap
