That's it... I need a film version of Urinetown. Now. Don't care where the cast is from, as long as it's the majority of the musical, hopefully new songs... ugh. Need.
Don't worry, the way Hollywood is going you'll only have a year. Since Les Mis made all the money in the world, the studios are snapping up every show they can.
If only that were true. Nah, I only have about four musicals that I need turned into musical movies... Heathers the Musical, Urinetown, Next to Normal, and Miss Saigon. Thanks Hollywood, or whoever makes it, bye!
Saw it 4 times this week in London, people, go see it, it's funny, subversive and has great songs. Hope it stays on for a long time and wins some awards.
I love this show to death, but this Lockstock....ugh, the cringe. How was he even cast? His energy is just so off-putting, and it's a shame. The rest of this production looks stellar, but Lockstock is practically the backbone of this show, and this one is just all wrong. I am a fan of all the other characters, though, especially Bobby, Penny and Little Sally

I agree with all these! (though I still haven't seen Saigon) Next to Normal needs to be a film!
iamjohwee my cousin directed this show and he said they were thinking of a movie but just gave up.
They should use the cast from this production: ua-cam.com/video/VRheaNGe1BE/v-deo.html
