They were always there for each other and always listen and help each other out. When Haley came back, Brooke didn't hold what she did against her, she defended her. And Brooke really does have the biggest most giving heart of them all. I am so glad that it was Haley standing as Brooke's maid of honor, and Brooke for Haley as well as her being Jamie's Godmother rather than Peyton.

Never liked Peyton tbh, Haley was the perfect choice to be Brooke’s maid of honour since she was basically there for Brooke throughout everything, also I like how this friendship unlike Breyton is not one sided, there have been many times when Brooke was also there for Haley so it only made sense that as the seasons progressed Haley slowly took on the role as Brooke’s second best friend.

I loved Brooke and Peyton as friends, and I love Brooke and Hayley as friends. There is no hate for either one with me. Do I think if Hilary was still on the show that it would be Peyton up there giving the speech? Definitely. But I like how they addressed in one episode that it's just a sad fact of life that friends grow apart. Brooke and Peyton grew apart. There's no hate there. There shouldn't be any fighting over which was the better friendship. Brooke needed Peyton during high school, and Peyton needed her. As an adult, I think Brooke and Hayley are much more equipped to be friends because they didn't have such complicated and overlapping love lives etc.

Part 3: After her moment of weakness in the motel, Peyton sacrificed her feelings for Lucas for Brooke's sake. She ended her 'relationship' with Lucas to save her friendship with Brooke. In the show it was repeated multiple times that you can't help who you love and that is what happened to Peyton in S3. She was in love with Lucas and this time around was honest with Brooke about it. Personally I don't see anything wrong. The kiss in the library was a just in case kiss.
Brooke just really connected with Haley more than she ever connected with Peyton. Just like what she said about Naley, she finds comfort and stability just seeing those two. Haley seems to always give her the stability she needs. They were two different personalities but both were strong women who always fights for what they want. And I think it was always Haley who understood Brooke more because Haley always try to see what's inside a person's heart and gives chances for that person to grow and change. And let's face it. If there is someone other than Lucas who is protective of Naley, that's Brooke and vice versa.

And that is exactly the reason why they are my favourite friendship. She’s literally saying that that night just gave her a “glimpse” of the real Brooke. Yes, when Brooke was no longer high she was kinda dismissive of Haley and their bonding but the point was when Brooke was high and therefore more vulnerable, she wanted to have Haley come along with her and Peyton so she wouldn’t be stranded. That is the glimpse. The popular queen bee act wasn’t real and Haley was aware of that and while she did bond with Peyton that doesn’t take away from the fact that she did spend time with Brooke that night and for better or worse that was the start of their friendship.
I never did like the speech that Haley gave at Brooke's wedding. In season 4 when Naley remarried, Brooke's speech was so genuine & real. I expected Haleys to be the same.

I agree Brooke wasn't always there for Peyton. Still it was a one-sided friendship. Plenty of times I remember Brooke looking out for Peyton and being there for Peyton. Part 2: Baley's friendship was was never tested and happened randomly IMO. It was more due to circumstances rather than anything else. They feel forced, fake and lack chemistry. (I don't know why but I never enjoyed their scenes except for S3 when IMO they become friends.) I disagree that Breyton friendship was one-sided. Brooke had more opportunities to stand by Peyton but IMO Peyton wasn't a bad friend.

They supported each other and never pushed each other down. While Luke had major fights with Hailey, and Peyton and Brooke fought constantly and were really toxic at times together (sry but it’s true), I didn’t really see any REAL bad moments between Brooke and Hailey.

I loved Brooke and Peyton as friends, and I love Brooke and Hayley as friends. There is no hate for either one with me. Do I think if Hilary was still on the show that it would be Peyton up there giving the speech? Definitely. But I like how they addressed in one episode that it's just a sad fact of life that friends grow apart. Brooke and Peyton grew apart. There's no hate there. There shouldn't be any fighting over which was the better friendship. Brooke needed Peyton during high school, and Peyton needed her. As an adult, I think Brooke and Hayley are much more equipped to be friends because they didn't have such complicated and overlapping love lives etc.

Mark just re-written episode 1.06. Seriously, how much time did Brooke and Haley pass together? Haley helped Peyton to put Brooke in the car. Brooke kept insisting that Haley's name was Brooke. Brooke was 'drugged' and slept for half the night. When exactly did she got a glimpse of the real Brooke Davis? When she was ass up in the car? It was Haley's and Peyton's episode. They talked about music & Lucas. It truly doesn't make any sense. Baley didn't become 'friends' until S2/S3.

Part 3: After her moment of weakness in the motel, Peyton sacrificed her feelings for Lucas for Brooke's sake. She ended her 'relationship' with Lucas to save her friendship with Brooke. In the show it was repeated multiple times that you can't help who you love and that is what happened to Peyton in S3. She was in love with Lucas and this time around was honest with Brooke about it. Personally I don't see anything wrong. The kiss in the library was a just in case kiss.

Brooke just really connected with Haley more than she ever connected with Peyton. Just like what she said about Naley, she finds comfort and stability just seeing those two. Haley seems to always give her the stability she needs. They were two different personalities but both were strong women who always fights for what they want. And I think it was always Haley who understood Brooke more because Haley always try to see what's inside a person's heart and gives chances for that person to grow and change. And let's face it. If there is someone other than Lucas who is protective of Naley, that's Brooke and vice versa.

Part 1: See this exactly the opposite of what I think. Do I think Peyton made a mistake and hurt Brooke? Absolutely. Did Brooke made some mistake that hurt Peyton? Yes. And that is exactly the reason why they are my favourite friendship. They were far from perfect but they were real - they loved each other unconditionally and managed to overcome everything life through in their way... love triangle, long distance and cheating.

They def. rewrote the scene for Baley (which is lame- they could've used an ex. from season 3 about why they're friends), but I honestly don't think Peyton has been retroactively written as a bad friend. I like Peyton for being a smart-ass and standing up for what she believes in, but she was always a bad friend to Brooke. She spent so much energy chasing Lucas that she forgot to care about her friend. The Baley friendship has always been much healthier, whereas Breyton was always too one-sided.

Maybe. I just hate all the reference that Brooke and Peyton were no longer friends and Brooke's best friend is Haley. Till S6, the show showed that Brooke's best friend is Peyton and Haley's best friend is Lucas. It always been that way. Now all of a sudden, Peyton was never there for Brooke and Haley is her best friend which was never the case. I bet that if Hilarie agreed to return these comments would have never been made. It's like Mark want to diminish Breyton for Baley's sake.

But beyond the fact that she was hooking up with her best friend's boyfriend, I still think their friendship was one-sided. When Brooke was beaten, it was Nathan and Haley who figured it out (Haley even sent her to that therapist, while Peyton was just chilling with Lucas). Seasons 5 and 6, Peyton spent 90% of her scenes talking about being in love with Lucas and their baby.

She’s literally saying that that night just gave her a “glimpse” of the real Brooke. Yes, when Brooke was no longer high she was kinda dismissive of Haley and their bonding but the point was when Brooke was high and therefore more vulnerable, she wanted to have Haley come along with her and Peyton so she wouldn’t be stranded. That is the glimpse. The popular queen bee act wasn’t real and Haley was aware of that and while she did bond with Peyton that doesn’t take away from the fact that she did spend time with Brooke that night and for better or worse that was the start of their friendship.

Part 1: This is one of those times where people misunderstood the situation and attack Peyton. It's not like Peyton could force Brooke to talk. It was obvious Brooke didn't fall off stairs and Peyton didn't believe her. Especially when they're on the couch and Brooke said she believed in justice. But IMO Peyton was a good friend. She gave time to Brooke to work things out emotionally letting her know she was there every second when she needed. It would be worse if she insisted and forced Brooke

It's an interesting perspective, but yeah, we obviously disagree. Yes, you can't help who you love, but you can help what you do about it. The first time around with Peyton and Lucas, it wasn't just that one time in the hotel. They repeatedly betrayed Brooke. No matter how much you love someone, you are still a rational human being who has freewill and control over your actions. Their friendship was tested, and Peyton failed.

Peyton and Brooke both made mistakes in their friendship. However, the fact that they forgave each other shows they really valued each other. It even shows on an episode when Lucas imagines life if he has not gone back to save Peyton, that Brooke would’ve been a completely different person without her. It just seems so strange to me that Hayley is now regarded as more of a friend to Brooke. Their friendship was never tested. Haley was nothing more than “Tutor Girl” to Brooke before marrying Nathan.

I agree Brooke wasn't always there for Peyton. Still it was a one-sided friendship. Plenty of times I remember Brooke looking out for Peyton and being there for Peyton. Not much of that the other way around. In my opinion Peyton wasn't Brooke's best friend. The Brooke/Haley friendship has much more substance and credibility. imo I certainly see them as best friends. They loved and treated each other and supported each other as true besties do. jmo

Part 2: Baley's friendship was was never tested and happened randomly IMO. It was more due to circumstances rather than anything else. They feel forced, fake and lack chemistry. (I don't know why but I never enjoyed their scenes except for S3 when IMO they become friends.) I disagree that Breyton friendship was one-sided. Brooke had more opportunities to stand by Peyton but IMO Peyton wasn't a bad friend.

Couldn’t disagree with a comment more. Am I the only one that actually liked Brooke and Hailey’s friendship more than any other friendship on the show? They supported each other and never pushed each other down. While Luke had major fights with Hailey, and Peyton and Brooke fought constantly and were really toxic at times together (sry but it’s true), I didn’t really see any REAL bad moments between Brooke and Hailey.
