Godparents are usually young adults because if ever something were to happen to the biological parents, then they would have to step up. Haley and Nathan would have been perfect Godparents.
It was similar to Victoria, they were never meant to be shown as they were suppose to repsent absentee parents to Brooke, but I guess the show changed their mind on that when they did the 4 yr timejump as they couldn't be invisble forever.
That's not how I would have imagined Brooke's dad with the way that Victoria and Brooke described him through out the series, I thought he would've been much older and more obese.
