I don't think I've heard more polarizing views on any other brands! So many people on tiktok were telling me everything is great, except the eyeshadows 🤣
@@GLAMZILLA I just commented about the eye shadows but I will make a very important distinction.
The standard, just straight up plastic tray with color shadow seen through the clear top kind of eyeshadows? Those are crap. I bought one of those particular palettes (if you want to call them that) because it was one of the only yellows I could find at the time, looks great in the pan but I was so disappointed in the pigmentation of it. Maybe it's better if you add liquid and do graphics with it? I don't know. However...
Their themed eyeshadow palettes, the ones that come in the metal cases (or occasionally tough plastics), are really great a lot of the time. I don't buy their nudes or ones like the gemstone palette because I don't like subtle colors... So some of their less pigmented stuff might be for other people and be fine... But I have almost every one of them that I could get my hands on otherwise. No joke, I get products from the other side of the "professional" spectrum, like right now I've been playing with a palette I got from Iconic. It has very few bold or deepening colors in it, so I've been using the Revolution Carnivale themed one to obtain a really deep purple or green to pair with some of the gold and yellow shimmer shades in the Iconic palette...
So I guess I'm saying that I think it really depends on which of their eyeshadows you're really talking about. The basic ones, I will not buy, but I find it really funny because I will buy the other ones. As I said in my comment independent from this, I consider the butterflies one a necessity for the type of eyeshadow looks I like to do, which are shiny and damn near holographic most of the time... At the price point, I don't think you can go wrong, and I get a ton of compliments somehow even though I'm totally amateur lol
RIGHT,yes the pro lipsticks also. Some nudes in them are bomb. I love the matte lipsticks. The. Also pro neutrals eyeshadow s. Almost duped a Charlotte pallete TBH. I don't get why influencers don't try them.
Hell no! Their eyeshadows are super super! Dusty , so much fallout ! My husband got me a pallet just recently and I was like ugh u know he did it with such great intentions 😅 and the pallet looked promising but it was horrible and I ended up waking up barley able to open my eye and yes I fully washed my face before going to bed ! The “Shany” pallets on wish are more promising than makeup revolution.. 😂

@@PurpleFlower22 I have a lot of makeup Revolution stuff I love and I’ve been doing makeup for years some things are a real miss but the powder blushes and highliters are great like so is the renaissance flick eyeliner
@@PurpleFlower22 a lot of higher end makeup is cheaply made. At least you get what you paid for instead of buying an $80 blush that looks like you put Vaseline on your cheeks

I have hundreds of luxury brand products and drugstore too but I can truthfully tell you I absolutely think Makeup Revolution is one of the best makeup brands especially for drugstore. Great quality products with luxurious style packaging. Most definitely not a waste of $$ and I’ve spent thousands on makeup. 💄
Maybe try a normal, classic type of product like a blush, bronzer, setting powder, etc.?

I don't think that a fair shot was given to Makeup revolution as a brand as whole. Some of us cannot afford Nudestix and other luxury brands. Makeup revolution have done excellent job with their complexion products and eyeshadow palettes. While i agree that the brand is hit and miss, but which brand does not have bad products? Also makeup revolution has a blurring stick which is super affordable and works really well. They also have good shade ranges and bronzers for deepest skin tones. I love Glamzilla and her energy, it she who hooked me on with Revlon lipsticks and provided great dupes for Charlotte Tilbury 's pillow talk, I know her intention was not to dismiss Makeup Revolution, I request her to give a fair shot to the brand in general, i am sure she will like something. ❤️
I personally love this brand because it dupes high end products with comparable quality at a cheaper price. Sometimes luxury makeup is not worth the hype/price, makeup revolution serves as a great drugstore alternative. This particular product could have gone bad!

Also, it’s a glass dropper. There was no need to throw it out, just rinse it off. That’s not their fault that it solidified. I’ve laid that happen w high end products.

It is their fault. The formulation should not be solidifying inside the bottle. And if a product was prone to solidifying, they should not package in a dropper bottle.
Um did you even shake the bottle lol? I only ask cause I just bought this and mine looked like that. Shook it and good as new. AND works well.
I have not faced faulty packaging from them. Used since 2017. And i have used and reused their products and elf too. I think a bit of shaking is required. Even ordinary serums settle if you don't shake em.
I feel like you just have to know what types of products to buy from revolution

I got fifteen of their palettes at one time from Ulta the ones in the tins with the pretty color stories ! They are gorgeous the nude one is my fave yet it looks so pretty I don’t want to use it! All the pretty stamps on the colors and the glitters and shimmers are so beautiful

I loved their S’mores palettes and they actually make a great shimmer eyeshadow

Irl is perfect coverage. And i use their hyaluronic acids too. I guess it's drugstore so influencers don't like em. Check out Johnny Rosse's channel. He reviewed IRL filter. Full coverage. Much needed for my pigmentation. It becomes cakey if used too much. I use with a primer and in little amount with blender. Don't need concealer ☺️. They pallets have loads of options.

@@GLAMZILLA They definitely are great brands, but as someone already said, the fact that Makeup Revolution (and all of the other brands under the Revolution umbrella) makes the majority, if not all of their products cruelty-free and vegan is one of the things that make me love them :)

Makeup Revolution Concealer is one of the best drugstore concealers, you should definitely try them out 🙂

I love their banana baking powder.
I use a lot of their skin care the salicylic range has really helped my acne prone skin. I also love their highlighters and eyeshadows for bright shimmery colours. I have a few of their concealers I used the infinite define and conceal under my eyes and the conceal and fix ultimate coverage concealer with salicylic acid pot for any face blemishes. A tiny bit goes a long way with the pot one I tap it in with my fingers. The super dewy blushes are nice and still look good if you want to set them and the sport fix setting spray is better than many cheaper ones I’ve tried

Why are people so fickle about packaging? I’ve seen countless people get irritated/confused when they need to prime a pump (pump a few times initially to get it up the pump tube and working) and here - “see this is why I don’t like them” and “let’s throw that out”. So that you have no cap? Is it too hard to run it under warm water for 15 seconds to clear it out? That’s why you don’t like Makeup Revolution - because the applicator is acting…like any applicator would? People have no chill about things…
Not just the applicator, but I've tried several products from them with faulty packaging. For me, it ruins the user experience, and shouldn't happen! Even their products are just ok IMO, I think they get a lot of hype because they're known for duping other brands!

Here’s where you lost me honey… it went from I am down to try something new too opening the product and saying this is why I don’t like them over something that clearly they couldn’t control Now if it was a Kylie product or an Estée Lauder products or a Gucci product I’m pretty sure you would’ve looked past it … you didn’t even wear it out you put it on and then waited a A couple of seconds just to put on a other product… I guess sis
The clogged up dropper would have been a no for me too so I can’t blame her.

That's what I thought too! She's great and all, but you cannot say you don't like a brand when you've only tried one single product. Revolution is a great option for many people who can't afford/justify spending more than 20$ for makeup.
Angelica Nyqvist has the same attitude towards Revolution products. I wonder if they’ve pissed off the Influencers somehow…
I respectfully disagree, Makeup revolution, especially this product is a dupe for Farsali at a fraction of cost. Many eyeshadow palletes,complexion products of Makeup revolution are amazing. Also they came out with a great shade for Bronzers for deep skin tones. Thrashing a whole brand is not fair. It's one of the few brands that have a wide range of products and even if you want a Bougie packaging ,Makeup revolution/revolution beauty offers that as well.

They have lots of really bright colors and have good formulas as well

I'm totally a "Makeup Revolution Girl". FYI: As for the Serum settling in the nozzle, that's not a Makeup Revolution " Problem/ Issue, that's the "Drug Store " problem that You brought the product from, and they had it setting on the Shelf too long. You have to know where to place, the blame. If you had ordered it Directly from "Makeup Revolution" THEN it'll be a "Makeup Revolution Problem".

Liquids , and I mean liquids with powder especially, should be shaken well before use too. I'm sure it would have solved that issue right away. Even high end products settle like this and need to be mixed after a while on a shelf or after transportation

I used to solely use drugstore products until I moved to more prestige products over the past few years. Trying to save some money again, I moved back to drugstore products. I was so disappointed that I ended up going back to prestige brands. They really are better. I still like some L'Oreal and Pacifica products and sometimes Pixi things, but I mostly use prestige brands and what I get in my Ipsy bag because they are better quality, don't sting my sensitive face, and don't break me out. Yes, a lot are sponsored but I find that higher end products are that way for a reason.
I've just learned, it took a while, that most of the time you can find the exact thing made by a high end brand for way less at Ulta or Walmart. You're literally just paying for the brand.

@@randomlyswatching9481 it may not break some people out but I have sensitive skin. If there are any cheap ingredients then I break out. I used a highly recommended Elf primer and it stings my face and also breaks me out. My sensitive skin just can’t handle whatever those brands use. I wish I could wear them because I would save so much money.

I'm exactly the same with Makeup Revolution. As an MUA, I've tried ALOT of products! And I've hated EVERY single thing I've ever tried from Makeup Revolution. To the point I wouldn't even bother trying any of their products any more 😫. Best 'cheapest', affordable makeup brand hands down is E.L.F 😍
Should it have been shaken? It seemed quite clear/liquidy when the hard stuff in the dropper looked pink

Yes and we all know Soph knows makeup! 💖 They have some great stuff like the Soph highlighter palette is one of my most “wet-looking” shiny highlighter palettes and it’s super inexpensive!!

i loooooove makeup revolution makeup setting spray and they have excellent eye shadow palettes at a very reasonable price.
Their highlighter is one of the best if not the best! The mill is perfect because I'm so picky about chunky highlight and it's super pretty and smooth!
I love their gloss bombs and I also love their cream blushes and their powders are nice to me and eyeshadow palettes ! Those ones that have the cool color stories in the tins ! Those are so pigmented my favorites are the greens and fire one

I found their concealers worked great for me, with the obvious benefit of being affordable.
I have this product. I’m older than you so I actually like it. It does blur, but what they don’t tell you is that you need to shake the heck out of that stuff to use it. It’s got kaolin clay in it so it settles. I do like their under eye brightener. They’re a hit or miss company, but their blushes are what I seem to gravitate toward when I buy from them. I’d try their blushes.
Makeup revolution is a mid brand for people that really like makeup, but great for people on a budget/that are just starting out. I used to use their palettes when I had a tiny collection

They have amazing eyeshadow pallets, one of my favs is Forever Flawless Birds of Paradise Eyeshadow pallet, I think you should really try that one 😁
I bought every single one of those palettes ! The fire one the two green ones the blue ones are my faves ! So pigmented so pretty the shimmers and glitters are top notch
Their eyebrow palette mini kit is one of my favorites. So easy and convenient.
I have a special attachment to makeup revolution because my first contour palette and eyeshadow palette were from them. Their eyeshadows are affordable and pigmented too. Still use many of their products.
Revolution banana powder is amazing to bake with, especially for the price!

The makeup revolution blush in ballerina is my all time favourite! 😍it's a beautiful natural pink color.
And oh it is buildable and works on almost every skintone. I have wheatish skin and my mum has dusky skin and it looks good on both of us.
the revolution new neutral lipsticks are so good! it has a matte finish but is super creamy. tbh i like it better than some of my higher end matte lipsticks.

The peach pallet isn’t bad. The unicorn glow serum, Concelar, and Foundations are some of my holy grails though
"influencers" should be more careful talking about brands. this doesn't seem like the product's problem but more the drugstore you purchased it from also makeup revolution carry some really great products and dupes for affordable prices, not everyone has Charlotte tillburry money ..
Just buy from nyx or elf, great products and low prices

IRL Filter Long Wearing Foundation. I haven't tried it yet but I have ordered it and it's on its way to me. I have heard it's supposed to be wonderful.....we'll see.
I think Makeup Revolution's new IRL foundation is a great option. It’s full coverage and does a good job hiding imperfections.
For me personally its their concealers they are so good 😭!!!! I’ve tried so many & yet i still come back to them ! I’ve recently tried one of their foundations, the first shade i got was horribly pale but the second one is one of my favorites i had to add to my rotation !!

I like their hyaluronic acid concelor. It's the only one I've found so far that doesn't look cakey on me (I have extremely dry skin for a 20 year old). It doesn't have a lot of coverage though but I don't mind too much cause I don't really go full coverage glam. Their plain hyaluronic acid serum is super nice too. My whole family uses it

True, my makeup revolution eyeshadow pallette looks so good but it's not pigmented at all and fades away real quick. Unlike the Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette, my Lakmé eyeshadow palette is cheaper and gives much more pigment!
Try the IRL foundation, beats out all my other foundations and their hydrating concealers are very good!

I don’t like Makeup Revolution either but a hidden gem is their sport fix setting spray! When I worked at Ulta I would always recommend it. Has such strong staying power!!

@@abigaillll._ i’m sorry i’m just now replying! it has an alcohol scent when you spray it but i don’t think it’s too strong! once it dries down you can’t smell it either! i hope that helps :)

Their eyeshadow will not budge and it will last you all day. The only problem is it’s not quite as pigmented as it looks in the pan. Otherwise it’s definitely my favorite eyeshadow
