Faze just hit a completely different level as the series progressed. I don't think we've ever seen this iteration of Optic get dominated like this.
Faze were just on another level. Really exciting conclusion to the year in the HCS, can't wait to see how the bandit starts change things. If I had to guess Faze's H5 pedigree is going to make them even more dominant now.

Yes but a lot of other players come from h5 days and have that practice. Time will tell who will dominate, I'm a faze fan (the players on faze not the org itself) but I also got my eyes on SSG and Sentinel taking some events.

As a teenager I played blood gulch on XB kinnect (before Xbox live was created) it's truly amazing to see one of my favorite games grow into this.
The fancy new gadgets and guns don't take away from the classic, chaotic warfare that we played LAN on the original game.
Amazing skill, dedication and teamwork displayed all around.

Very proud of these bois, I was a fan of them when they were in Sentinels i think last year and while the move to FaZe is still very iffy for me personally, I am very happy to see these 3 band of brothers along with Renegade lift up that trophy.
I feel the same way. Been rooting for those guys for years. There is usually a short window for esports careers, so I understand them making the switch if they felt like they could no longer win.

From CLG to TOX to Sentinals to Faze, this is my favorite Halo team. So stoked they got the title back. Watching them in H5 was legendary. Lxthul traded out for Renegade was such a move dude. And the fact the Frosty and Renegade have historically not really liked each other i think

Late to this but Frosty and Renegade have always had a ton of respect for each other back in H5 it was nothing but respect between Splyce and TOX out of game. They’ve said they always wanted to team together since those days. TOX forever baby

FaZe Clan TRULY is the only team that deserved to beat Optic Gaming this year. Spacestation Gaming provided the initial challenge, and Bound is absolutley incredible, but Optic Gaming kept pushing them back to the starting line. Sentinels got far too arrogant, especially Lethul, whose skill is undeniable but his attitude got chin checked.
Every member of FaZe Clan you can tell from this grand final, trained years, for this level of communication and precise gameplay intelligence. For all of the complaints lobbied against Frosty being overtly cocky, he scaled it back in all the right elements to take home this championship. Not to mention Royal 2, Renegade and Snakebites remarkable composure throughout every match.
A little weird that the input display is in mouse and keyboard when everyone is using controller.
Already watched it live and know the results but could you change the thumbnail to be less spoilery so people who haven't seen the match yet fo whatever reason don't get spoiled?
Either way, that was an EXCELLENT event and I can't wait for season 5 dropping in a few hours from now!

Great grand finals! But also……pretty sloppy. Some questionable plays. Lots of rough moments with the sniper & shock rifle. Thought both teams could have played much better.
Hats off to Faze for dominating as such. Optic simultaneously seemed to just choked it all away. Can’t wait for the 2024 rematch!

Optic Gaming was at the peak of their abilities in this Grand Final, FaZe was just immaculate throughout every game across all four team members.
If optic don’t make a roster change they are cooked. Lucid and Formal can only be demons so many times against faze/ssg. At some point, they need extra firepower.
It’s crazy enough optic were even able to beat faze throughout the year with how much more talented faze is together

So for those wondering they all have very very low lag, which why they can pull alot bs kills that are not possible on above 17 mbs packet loss. They also don't have huge "random lag spikes for no reason.
And most have been caught using engine owning hacks and modded aiming devices. And other cheating software.

H2 & H3, which were peak Halo competitively & otherwise, both continued until the next Halo's release. Reach was a disaster competitively: easily 2nd-worst in the series only bc H4 came next but was somehow even worse

Frosty said on stream that an admin told them to walk straight to the trophy if they won. You can even see their confusion at 02:07:47 when they look back and see Snakebite and Royal1 going over to say gg's instead of walking up with them. The BR has a little bit of aim assist but you still have to more your sticks to position the reticle
Halo Competitive is about spawn control, communication, map positioning etc etc
