I love that PA doesn’t care about Aus because it only gives you 2 extra troops, even though South America also only gives you 2 extra troops and has more entry points to defend.
When playing Risk I would recommend that whenever you get the chance to remove an opponent, even if it is a risky move, you should generally take it. By defeating an opponent you get his cards, and if you have 5 or more cards after their defeat you get additional reinforcements mid turn.
Apollo: Australia's not really that important. Doesn't get you that many reinforcements Proceeds to get the exact same amount you would for having Australia...

My god, Apollo. It was amazing to hear your history with Risk. I myself played the board game version first, then switched to Axis&Allies. Then, I played the Risk game on my stepbrother's tablet when we were all on a cruise. I actually ended up winning that game.
I had to stop playing this game. I got so mad when my 8 troops from South Africa attacked 1 troop kn Western Europe and I lost....that one battle tunred the tide of the game and I ended up losing. Almost broke my phone

That would have not harmed their border and have given a 125/216 chance of winning and acquiring 5 troops next turn, not to mention the 2 15/36 chances of victory by attacking form both Scandinavia and Northern Europe if the operation was unsuccessful.
He wouldve gotten rushed into south america if he was playikg against real players. Aint no way they would just let him get that bonus w just 1's in there

I always do Australia. Sure, less points, but only 1 way in, 1 way out. Stack up troops at one spot, a territory a turn, trade in when it forces you and it's almost instant win.
Comon man...use the "Blitz" roll (doesn't that take that long as for rolling each single attack) and also please play against real players and not NPCs. It's way more fun (to watch :)). Keep it going...I love this game!❤️
Apollo verse me, I was a grandmaster on my old account. Had to start over thou lol. Btw it’s been out for ages on mobile and board game. Just got released on steam thou recently. Loved the video and keep it up.
I have spent way to much time studying risk strategy and I noticed you making a few mistakes. With 6 people starting South America is a good choice, but you should have focused on taking North America rather than splitting the war with Africa. After that at 45:08 you have the perfect position but because of the weird order you did stuff you end your turn with troops not against enemy lines. I noticed that weird order at multiple other points also. In the end the only difference was maybe taking an extra 2 turns since the bots were busy fighting each other and didn't notice your threat.
I used to play Risk on my PS2 when i was little. Damn, I loved it. I used to lose a lot but then learned to adapt to different situations and I became better in general.

Pixelated Apollo if you have 3 dice and you click the arrow to the right it says blitz and there is a percentage like if you had a lot of troops going against a small force just blitz check the percentage if its high you can eliminate that force and its quicker
I once played risk with my dad and cousin and one of my dads territories had 2 guys and my cousin had a territory right next to that. My cousin went on the attack and lost 14 troops! Let’s just say he was a bit peeved after that. He ended up winning anyway
Australia has the same point bonus as South America but people normally go for South America as the bordering continents are easy to take unlike Asia, which you’ll never conquer
There is indeed a colorblind mode. A great colorblind mode that can be adjusted according to the type of colorblindness. This is something I wish all games would do.
I had that game on board, still do but missing lots of tanks and glags...Australia is deadend, S.America too Africa and N.America are strong points and rest is no mans land.....really fun game....im glad i watched you play it
It's now more than 30 years I didn't play that game. I notice they changed the rules about ties in the dice roll. Back then, when there was a tie, it was a win for the attacker. So the "strategy" was simple: all-out attack. I'm glad they changed that, because that's the reason I stop playing. Maybe I could play again at some time.
PA I went to a military college and we had huge RISK tourneys plus spades too but I dominated RISK for 4 yrs there. Been playing it since I was a kid and I use many of the same strategies. I'll fight you anytime lol
My favorite was the revolutionary style risk for PC years ago it showed cav and cannons flag carriers ect it was a lot of fun I can't remember if it was just Risk II
If you think of it having a lot of land in early game is bad because you have to spread your troops and if you don’t all your other spaces will be weak but in later game you get more troops so yea
18:40 you should have killed green ( By placing all new forces in eastern US. you'd have a mandatory turn in for having 5 cards or more. and you could have with those card beefed up your 10 in Africa and reinforced north america.
ive played that game plenty of times, depending on the settings, using the auto roll you will win with man power. but just rolling the dice like he did in the beginning, especially with two you easily lose. i remember losing about 11 troops from land being defended by 3 troops

The number one mistake that makes people lose in this game:
Don't attack unless you need to. If you attack every turn you will most likely lose

Last I played, they were still assigned randomly.
It's a setting you can turn on when creating a match it's called manual placement

At 6:20 you could’ve taken yellow then purple without splitting your troops up and you could’ve rolled with three dice to help your odds

The reason yellow got so many sets is because they killed green. When you destroy a faction, you get their cards, meaning you can turn in a set.
