Out of every "game piece remade in Unreal Engine" projects out there (there's like a billion), I feel that this is the first one I see that I actually managed to keep the original vibe of the game, rather than bombarding it with fancy effects and ruining the atmosphere. Great job! =]
This is incredible. Captures the atmosphere and ambience of it perfectly. Feels oddly comfy and chill despite it being in such a horrifying and depressing game.

That's why i like SH, the world was a character, it decides who has demons/emotional baggage that needs sorted out one way or another and it lets others stroll right by, but that person with issues, it forces them to face their demons manifested in physical form. This is part of why i think so many people who feel broken or said gravitate to the IP. They can relate with the feeling, even if not doing what James did. That having been said i stood in this space in VR and it's... like a memory wrapped up in a dream. They made the alleyway leading up to the door and the fog flooding in from the street is amazing. It really does feel like a dirty, broken down refuge and even THAT place is taunting James and it's seedy by any other standard. Just really intelligent design and being here in VR, like really BEING HERE... i have no words lol.
Phenomenal work! The attention to detail is astounding, if only us fans could group together and build our own complete remake of the entire game. Silent Hill is deserving of this kind of passion, and you're deserving of making money as an artist. Bravo sir!
This is a good example that they really could remaster a Silent Hill and do great! I really hope they do it one day, just redo all the graphics, maybe Akira Yamaoka would be nice enough to come back and remaster the music one last time. Kids will never know what it was like to play one of these on the ps2 on your gritty TV (which added to the horror effect) and play these at night with the lights off by yourself.
Honestly it was a life-changing experience. It made you feel so small, so alone. Like you “weren’t in Kansas anymore” so to speak. Heaviest atmosphere of any game I’ve ever played. Like walking down a dark tunnel where you cant see the end.
If there was a remaster, this seems like the best way to do it. But I think the flat lighting of the original makes for better art direction for the depressing and disturbing experience that SH2 is going for.
If only a certain game company could pull their heads out of their arses and make this a reality. You should be doing this as an official release with this level of quality, it would be well deserved. It’s a crime that this franchise isn’t getting the treatment that Resident Evil is in the past few years.

This amazing work shows that any classic videogame can be remastered properly if the studio invest a lot of experience and passion on it. Thank you a lot for this experience buddy.

I love that he included the soundtrack, Akira Yamaoka really did some inmortal music for SH. Animation is stunning.

I just completed SH2. The bonus dvd documentary is well worth a watch. I still think a new SH game or remake is possible within the PS5 lifespan.
