- The Michigan woman convicted of fatally dousing her sleeping father with a mixture of water and lye addressed the judge at sentencing Tuesday. Megan Joyce Imirowicz tearfully begged the judge for mercy and even quoted the Bible. “The evil are ensnared by the transgressions of their lips, but the righteous escape from trouble,” she said in court on Tuesday, quoting Proverbs 12:13. Imirowicz was sentenced to one year in prison with credit for time served and five years of probation. She went home Tuesday night.

@DJ-hf1zo I agree with you. Dad did NOT get Justice and she got/learned nothing from murdering her own dad. She never showed any remorse whatsoever… she only cared about herself and I bet that’s how she lives the rest of her life. Very tragic.
His daughter did. This was an accident gone wrong
Thank you for showing compassion for the dad. All these comments about *her* and how she did this because her dad was an alcoholic is unfair 🙄. RIP dad 🙏🏽🕊

Wow, this is crazy. 1 year, and she already has time served so she’ll be free right away. Literally for murder. This is shocking imo. I got 3 years when I was lost in addiction and got drug charges. Crazy how the system is.
It’s shocking she’s gonna be free! I haven’t looked into the case but if she killed someone she should do more time. How did she kill the person
@@michaelj1552 I know right. She literally is out already. It’s crazy in my opinion. On October 1, 2021, her father Konrad Imirowicz was hospitalized after he suffered fatal burns to his head, torso, and across his body from her. It was said that they were arguing after her dad was too inebriated to take her to the salon to get her hair styled for her then-upcoming birthday. Then I guess while he was intoxicated and he was sleeping, she combined lye powder with water to throw at him. Lye powder is a chemical product used to clean drains, it is often compared to Drano. And when lye powder is combined with water, an exothermic reaction occurs from it. The reaction causes the mixture to reach a 200-degree temperature in Fahrenheit. The solution can also cause a person to lose consciousness. Then I guess on March 3, 2022, which was literally like 6 months later about, he was released from the hospital. Previously, he was on life support due to multiple infections, amputation of both legs, skin grafts, and kidney dialysis which were later effects of the attack. Then days later on March 6, the 64-year-old succumbed to his injuries and died.
Seriously? Did you even watch the testimony?! Where is your humanity? Shame on you. I pity ignorant people.
@@LadyAngelaYaYa1966Thanks for your pity! She'll be back in that courtroom soon, crying and making more excuses.
“Lost in addiction.” So, you didn’t choose drugs? One day while walking in the meadow, you turned left, instead of right, and suddenly you became “lost in addiction?” Sounds like something you picked up in jail or AA/NA. Lucky for you a leprechaun wandered from under his rock and rescued you from being “lost in your addiction.” He too was once “lost,” I bet! Were you also suffering from “child brain” or “immature brain” like this young 18 year old girl, who had no idea that chemicals would harm her dad? She was just trying to help him get cleaned up for her party, huh? She was “lost in her innocence” when she reached for the lye and doused Papa with the toxic substance. Well, I’m done here…seems I got “lost in your comment.”

So true RIP Sir I feel bad what your daughter did to you 🙏😇❤️🙏
I guess not
Women are bigots who protect other women. Even murderous young women. This judgement is a disgrace and further solidifies why I refuse to vote for female judges
I think the fact that he had them living in such a mess she felt he didn't care for them at all but just drank his life away. Maybe she felt a little compassion for a girl living in such a situation possible she has some experience with such a life .. I do think she should have gotten more than a year but maybe she thought prison will only make her hard and harder to reform .
What an actress. As soon as she hears 1 year the tears stop. A child throws things, punches and kicks, they do not get a deadly chemical to deliberately harm or kill someone they love. I get she was left to a situation that no child should have to face, however this is just ludicrous! She knew exactly what she was doing, especially when she was told by her brother that her father was in hospital and she was more interested in her hotel party. How scary for society!
I see that you have a lot of good points, but what situation was she left to that no child should have to face? It almost sounds like you're saying that she was in a bad situation at home. Yes, her father drank, but by all accounts he treated her well, and she was a trouble making spoiled brat. He just was too drunk to give her a ride somewhere, and with her being an adult now, he shouldn't have to. Something so trivial as a ride to get her hair done and she murders him. Unless you're meaning the situation that she murdered her father, which of course no child should face, but that's all of her own doing. Maybe I'm reading something wrong, could you clarify if you see this?
Was there any tears?? I don’t see them.
@@MewmewGrrl was that for me to answer?
@@MewmewGrrl she grew up in a lot of heartbreak and a very unstable and unsanitary environment. No child should have to live through that and play parent to a parent. That’s what I meant. Hope this clarifies things.
@@MewmewGrrlHas she been diagnosed as a psychopath?
She deserves the same mercy she showed her victims.
Woah. This big pity party - poor her!! 😳 Wow!! Killed her Dad but she’s out? I don’t think she’s learned anything. 🤯
No accountability.....She'll be back😢
The prosecution did their job, the jury did their job, she was found guilty. The judge is the one that decided to give this barely anything sentence. Normally, women see through other women's tears a lot easier than guys do. I'm very surprised. Then again, this judge looks like she's more worried about her plastic surgery touch ups than anything else. She's crying for herself only, because she was facing consequences for what she did. She finds out that she's barely facing anything, and suddenly isn't sad anymore. What a travesty of justice.
Exactly 🙄
100%. Girl is a fraud. The look of fury when that letter brought up her pulling the knife on the teacher. There were 20-something witnesses to that event and she wanted to act like it wasn’t a factor in assessing what kind of person she is. Girly girl is rotten. And that quick change of pace when this goofball ruling was looking to be in her favor was night and day.
Gross.

Were you at the trial? Did you see the crime occur? No? Didn’t think so. Shut up.

Complete waste of a trial to allow her go home. Why even bother trying her?! 🤦🏽♂️
Give her an academy award
Nothing forces a 18yr of "child" to grow up faster than a good smack of reality.
It's kind of crazy how she is talking about how much everyone is hurting because they all lost their dad - but she isn't addressing the fact that all of that was because of her own abusive actions. She literally caused his death, but she showed absolutely zero remorse for her actual actions - only of everyones loss. I'm guessing it won't be the last time she will be in the court system
She's a Disgusting Monster.
Yes, there will be a victim number 2.
Definitely won't be the lady time
Oh yes, she will definitely murder the next person who makes her mad and this judge is the blame! Just disgraceful and sickening 😢.
She is not taking responsibility, she is not a kid and not a victim.
A lot of kids who killed a parent wish they had this judge. she is unbelievable. My first infants was just fighting and I was held in jail for six months went to court. three years of probation just fighting no weapons.🤦🏽♀️
Her little speech makes it sound like she had nothing to do with his death. Did anyone else catch that smirk when shecgot up to speak? This sentence is unbelievable! She totally played the court!

That judge should be removed from the bench.
1st: She doesn't acknowledge nor admit to any crime & portrays her own self as an innocent angel. 2nd: juvenile or not, she murdered someone. I've seen much younger teens sentenced to far more for far less; they were born & raised in extremely horrible situations, no fair starting point, w/ no chance @ even a decent life; let alone a "good" 1 & yet this lil darlin' gets PROBATION. I ❤ how judge bias repeatedly refers to said killer as "this child"😮🙄.
I'm all for "mercy", empathy, compassion, etc; BUT it ought to be fair & as the prosecutor said: "PROPORTIONAL".
This sentence is unfortunate. I guess we will have what she does with her 5 years “probation”.
I’m sorry that you have dismissed this young woman’s moving statement. She DID accept responsibility. She expressed remorse.
I’m tired harsh people who lack empathy and compassion. She deserves to be free….released to a better life without an abusive alcoholic parent.
@@LadyAngelaYaYa1966 I dismissed nothing. You're so busy being "moved" that u clearly dismissed or ignored her outright denial (several times) that she did anything @ all. She never accepted responsibility; she declared herself innocent & incapable of hurting anyone, especially her "best friend" & called her brother a liar. She claimed years dwn the road, as she's sat in prison, everyone would see the error of their ways & discover she actually was 💯 innocent. So did her mother; SHE admonished/criticized the police & also claimed her kid was incapable of hurting anyone & 💯 co-signed all she said. This was vanity. A flattered judge, buttered up, pumped up (not just in her lips) didn't want the honey soaked words that were spat from that desperate & manipulative "child" to be proven untrue. @@LadyAngelaYaYa1966I hope someone gives you a lye bath, then you can tell me how "proportionate" this sentence is
@LadyAngelaYaYa0411 bro do you really think she's crying for her dad, she's crying for herself, she can't handle the consequences she brought on herself. There's plenty of people who have gone thru worse by their parents and have yet to go out and murder them😐
I’m confused, she’s talking about how much she loves her dad and how he was her favorite person, but then WHY DID YOU KILL HIM?!
It’s also the WAY she killed him,
not just that he died- after month’s
of suffering.
I agree, but I also think her mom failed her by allowing her and her brother to live with him knowing about his severe alcohol problem and their living conditions.
She was obviously playing everyone by mocking him. She hated him. She gave a clue by saying he'd urinate in bags...then switched to saying she got water on him but not the couch then went back to the urine thing? Creepy. I think she doused him with his own urine, or made that up and used her own. She is a sociopath. Not be held accountable and will do worse later. It's building a malignant Narcissist.
