- This is my detailed how to make a lace closure wig video. It’s super beginner friendly, I tried to cover all the things I struggled with when I made my first wig.

THINGS YOU’LL NEED
Canvas Block (if you plan to make wigs often this will make the process much easier)
Styrofoam Head (will do, especially if it’s your first time… you may decide you don’t even like making wigs and these can be found in beauty supply stores for like $5)
Bundles
Thread
Scissors
Cap (mesh caps are the only ones I use now, but I learned how to make wigs on spandex.. it’s all about preference)
Pins
Clips
Patience (my first time making a wig it took me 2 days, 2 WHOLE DAYS… )
If this is your first wig take your time and feel it out. I gave you the basic tips because once you learn that you can drift off and make your own way. As long as the wig fits, is secure, and lays flat ( and girl if you get curly hair it don’t even need to lay flat) you did it! The stitches do not have to be pretty to the eye unless you are making the wig to sell then you need to do everything clean and precise.. but idk why you would need to watch this video.
Put a series on Netflix and start that wig, happy wig making!
Do not try and make your first wig a few hours before an important event without a plan B. I hope this helps someone. I really do.

Cut holes in your cap where you did not sew it will loosen up the cap.

Loveeeee this. So glad I came across your video! I made the mistake of using a spandex cap the other day too and didn't like it at all. Loved the trick at the end to help keep the tracks from showing in case of the wind, I tried another method I saw on UA-cam and it ended up taking the stretch away from the cap!. Girl... Thanks again

I had so many problems with the threading. The tracks are coming out and I didn’t know why since I was doing several knots but I think I found the error thanks to you. On all the UA-cam videos,you are the only one to make me realize my mistake. Thank you

Thank you... just had a wig made and where he doubled the weft were so bulky... I went in with the method you showed and that fixed it right up. I’m going to buy hair again and try making a closure wig. I had so much trouble trying to get the closure to lay flat but I will try again... thank you. I have trouble making knots🙈

withArielle lol no I slicked my hair into a bun and tried to do the hot glue method. Plus I like my wigs super full so I stuffed hella hair on it and it looked a fool😂 and every time I try to sew a wig they end up too small🙄
Lmao 😂😂😂 you need to gone head and braid that hair down! I went through a couple of wig cap before I found one that works for me, everyone has different preferences. I have a video on a wig that's just big hair that you might like.

OMG 😱 this was sooooo informative, detailed etc... I made a couple of wigs and I always purchase the wrong weave net. My head is super small so after I sew the hair on a dome cap it doesn't fit 😭 I gave up. I didn't understand the wrapping the needle now I do. I was just about to make another wig today. If i wanted a side part can i just turn the part or will i have to sew the closure on the side
You can just shift the wig to the side that's what I do. I have never just sewn a closure on the side for a side part. Once I have my part defined I leave it alone and never move it for lace closure wigs.
@@withArielle when you sew that last bundle towards the top do you sew through the lace again to attach, and do you have to cut the elastic band off cap? can you leave it on for more security
