Lumber was clamped down really good behind the box with several clamps, and had over 100lbs of weight on top of it, as you can see there was no movement of the lumber during the cuts. Thanks for watching. Hope my video helps
Wow! No cord. Circular saws have come a long way since I bought my corded Makita roughly 15 years ago. You have a special way with the camera. This was fun to watch. Dewalt owes you money as far as I'm concerned.
No they are not. The blade right 575 is less powerful. The blade left 577 is designed to perform with worm gear saws. Traditionally, you would use a worm gear saw to do rip cuts in sheet goods and compound bevels on rafters etc. sidewinder saws are used for cross cuts and is lighter. A handy saw for sure; however, worm gear saws power is great for gang cutting material etc. time is money and power makes cuts faster. The 577 is heavy though. I have both and they both have their strengths.
Left blade worm drive all the way (I like to see where I'm cutting). I just bought and used mine last week. A huge upgrade from my old 18V DC390 6 1/2". Before I even started it I replaced the blade with a 40 tooth.I also picked up the Dewalt DWS5100 12-Inch Dual-Port Folding Rip Guide. I had to rip some 3/4" plywood and this was much better than lifting it onto my table saw.
I have both dcs578 and the rear handle both monsters. For framing floors until roof I use the rear handle. When we are on the roof cutting rafters I use a mixture of both the rear handle to cut tails off and the other mainly to cut the rafters because it’s lightweight/compact.
I have both of these saws and I use the worm drive for rough framing and I use the other for trim or going on the roof since it's lighter. I never leave home without them.
If you have to choose between these 2 saws, which one would it be? I would like to buy one, but I cant decide which one. I like 575 for its lower weight. But I also like 577 because I am right-handed and the blade is on the left side. But the weight could be an issue sometimes. And no, I cant buy both :D
I had a hard time hearing u say 9.0 battery in both saws with that said Very Good Video! I'm impressed! Looks like you've used a circular saw alot. Thanks!
Awesome comparison! Thank you! The local big box store is selling the sidewinder for $379 with 3 batteries right now so I gotta go with that. The worm drive looks epic but to be honest, it's just the power hungry side of me that wants it! I don't need that much juice, just trying to get away from my milwaukee 6-1/2" saw which I seem to bog a lot.
Hey man! That was good! But, since both saws are known to be almost equally powerful, it would be so much better to do this kind of comparisons with regular cordless circular saws, so the difference would be really noticed. For example a 18v Bosch brushed circular saw, a 20v brushless, and so. I hope you do thi! Please! Thanks!
Good, old fashioned hands on comparison-let the tools do the talking. I love the new saw. I've been waiting for a blade left battery worm drive forever. Can't stand blade right saws.
Jake A. Yes around 30%, The first thing I did was swap the blades to the Dewalt precision framing ones (ones on video), I'm not a big fan of the flexvolt blades there're too thin and tend to get caught up easily, thanks for watching
I run Diablo on all my saws. Also, the Diablo blades don't have as much of the annoying blade ring. The DeWalt and Makita blades just keep stacking up, I save them for junk work.
Man, the POWER on the new one is over the top. Love that my DCS575 doesn't spit all that wood chew in my lap tho... Question at the 3:30 mark when it locked up - did you push it into lockup or let go of the trigger? Or did it just get ground to a halt? The white cat bugging out at the top was epic btw!
josh smith The white cat bugging out was a Milwaukee owner scared of these powerful saws lol, jk I have a few Milwaukee tools myself and they been good. What happened at 3:30 was my fault, I got sideways towards the end causing the saw to cutoff. Overall the 575 did really good. Thanks for watching
@@MrSubaru1387 never used the 36v i had the 18v BL.... couldnt complain tbh but the pure power of this wormdrive is great. I only went full dewalt because i bought the flex volt plunge saw now full yellow haha
Do you know if these saws gain a power increase from the 9.0 batteries when compared to the 6.0s? Or is the power pretty much the same on both, just with more run time on the 9.0? Cheers
Pretty much the same, except more run time on the 9.0s, I did notice a power increase going from the 5.0s to 6.0s on some 20v tools, probably has to do with 10 cells 5.0 vs 15 cells on the flexvolt 6.0
You get more power with the 9amp and mire runtime and if you a 12amp with either over the 6amp you definitely notice the difference and its the same size as the 9amp
Is the makita that bad? I just ordered one because their 36v right hand blade, brushed version is a bit shit. Was hoping the worm drive style, 36v, brushless would be better.
Yeah this is really good the only issue I found is that the battery don't last too much you have to have a couple more to not run out of battery I think the Makita runs a little more time with it's batteries but this one has more power that's why it drains it's the batteries faster I guess
The makita is basically the same money as the Dewalt but Makita has a per motion at Home D right now that you buy the kit and get a second pair of 5.0 batteries for free. And i have used the hell out of the Makita and love it. I help my brother who’s a general contractor build stuff often. I don’t even get my skill 77 from my truck anymore. The makita adjustments for angles and depth fast n easy too. But i have a ton of Dewalt 20v tools and want that 60v saw badly. Wish Dewalt would step up with a freebie battery even a 6.0 battery would be ok with me.
So where you getting caught up on something with the smaller saw I seen a couple times it stop on you it look like the bigger saw had no problems at all but both were nice which one do you recommend
I've said that Dewalt has the best saws. ..mistake best circular saws. ..I mean look at the Milwaukee jigsaws and Sawzall. ..100 times than the Dewalt miter saws is another issue. ..maybe next time
hi definitely the warm drive saw faster and powerful. .. check out other videos. ...he's faster than the makita warm drive saw... Dewalt has the best saws even more than Milwaukee until they come out with something better. ...Aldo Milwaukee is my favorite. ..wish they'd start made in USA. ..
If you need Power the big one if you want something lighter and easier to carry around the small one (the smaller one still has plenty of power). Also if you're right handed the big one is nicer to cut with since you see the blade as you cut
Angel Jones. It does not ever hurt to build upon ones skills with tools there may come a day where you just might need to use it one handed like up on a roof or a ladder.
The cat is faster than both saws 😁
Love how the cat bolted the hell out of there lol
Gazziza29 lol
Apart from the “flex volt” what a massive “flex” this video is. Dude just ate up two grand worth of lumber. Awesome video!
2 grand? Bro, maybe before Covid. That's straight up 20gs these days playa
This is exactly what I was looking for thank you!

Revolver sanchez Dewalt DCS577

Looks like very skilful, professional carpenter or construction worker.
Love both these sawz
Joe Montague what's the difference? There both the same saw. Aren't they?

which one is easier to handle for a right-handed person?

Not really. This was exactly what I wanted to see

The worm saw is a monster 💦
One question
Are this saws good for cuting Cumaru or ipe wood and other hardwoods
Thanks
Convinced. Just bought a used 577 ten minutes ago.

The dewalt 60v flexvolt wormdrive has a left side blade
Best video
Nice video. Thanks for posting. Which one had the best line of sight??
Both have very similar line of sights, I do like the led light on the 575
Angel thank you.
I think they said the new one has 30% more power. I love everything but the blades, change those out and it's great.

looks like the worm drive has a little more power, especially on the 2x6s. Then again, the circ saw seems to have the cleaner cuts.
Are they not both circular saws?
I am a makita man but these saws are the nuts it looks like i am goin to have to go dewalt as well🤔
So was I until I tried the flexvolt grinder. Now I'm looking at buying the saw too and possibly the SDS.
Just did this... 2 grand later im looking forward to work tomorrow haha that worm drive is heavy af im ust to usein a little 6" makita
@@eddy45186 I still prefer my 36V Makita rear handle 7-1/4 saw to the FLEXVOLT.

Why cant Dewalt just make a left side blade side winder circular saw?
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they did in the future with all these new tools
Or any company for that matter. A left blade sidewinder would be the perfect saw
I am a right handed carpenter, been at it for thirty years always blade right saws ,I find blade left saws awkward.
So where you getting caught up on something with the smaller saw I seen a couple times it stop on you it look like the bigger saw had no problems at all but both were nice which one do you recommend
esta cortando mantequilla?
What is the main difference between these saws? Expect the side of the blade... Which is better?
How is the runtime on these saws? Could you get a full days work done on one battery?
I have 575, super,
So in conclusion, they both cut...!
After using a left sided blade for so many years,I don’t know if I’ll be able to adjust to a right side blade
The only problem u'll av with the right side blade is the dust blowing towards u
Fantastic. Have you tried it with hardwoods just wondering how it copes.
awesome but fucking expensive
