Wait I just now realized this is Benthelooney! I didn't realize you changed your channel name! Anyways happy pride month to anyone who follows and celebrates it🏳️🌈
as a bisexual person I don't really like what pride month has became to be honest don't really like how it Narrows are sexuality to a month and there's all this corporate garbage what comes with it and also people who abused it and make it into some kink thing i dont know I think it kind of gives us a bad name
I have my own issues with rainbow capitalism, but I don't get too wrapped up in that. I just embrace the month as a celebration of us being free to be ourselves.
I think you’re overthinking it personally. I mean, people don’t say this about black history month or Veterans Day. Why? Because we recognize that beneath the occasional goof or mess up, the month/day still means something and is important. Don’t give up on it. Your grievances make sense but stay strong.
I’m bisexual, straight leaning. And i see no problem with pride month. Its just a month for people in the world who are afraid of the backlash from expressing themselves or coming out. And i think its pretty nice
Honestly, the reason most if not all of these awareness months/days/events matter is because they involve groups who have historically been oppressed and struggling, and in particularly deep, personal and still relevant ways to this day. For example, sure, African Americans are no longer enslaved, and yes, on paper, have equal rights. However, both the lingering effects of systemic racism, and a few more subtle holdouts of systemic racism, still exist in spades to this day, and even still, its important to recognize such an important part of American history. Tons of white cops are still crooked thugs with a racism streak, even if they cant be so openly horrid as they once were. Likewise, LGBT+ people are finally gaining acceptance and equality in recent decades (albeit with setbacks thanks to conservatives, especially with trans people), the lingering effects of bigotry still matter to this day, nevermind such notable tragedies like the AIDS crisis. Trans people in particular are still a hot button topic rife with ignorance and misunderstandings, largely exacerbated by the lies and fearmongering done by conservatives and fascists alike. While queer people have been hated for many years prior to now, Trans people are suffering the most recent targeted efforts. These months of awareness matter, and it helps queer people feel normal and accepted by wider society, and this links to representation in media as well.
There is no systemic racism Pride month shouldn’t be a thing, veterans only get one or two days out of the year to be recognized, but the LGBT community gets a whole month You didn’t accomplish anything to be gay. That’s why pride month doesn’t matter.
I'm proud to be a straight white man and that I'm not confused about my identity or sexuality at all! I'm so glad that I don't need validation from others with a whole month of attention for doing nothing special!
Thank you for your touching, impactful tribute for thoughtful, important people that deserved better.
I am a Lesbian from Argentina and i couldn't be happier.

Since you were talking about the Arkham Asylum comic, the writer Grant Morrison came out as non binary.
Oh really? Had no idea. Good for them.
There are only 2 genders and neither one is non binary

No truer words have been spoken.
As for me, why celebrate Pride Month when I could be celebrating Pride Year.
I wish I knew you in real life. I think we would make great queer friends.
Happy pride month Ben. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ and thank you for talking about LGBTQ+ animators, voice actors and producers
It matters more than you, which is..
..well, no a high bar by any means

I wonder if Ben has someone to spend pride with...someone this understanding shouldn't be alone during this month.
