Jones Beach Pier 10 Fishing

Day started with some rain and then turned into a nice day of fishing. Started morning catching bait on Sabiki then used the bait on a high low rig to catch fluke and Sea Robbins. Thanks for the vid. Do you tip your sabiki or just fish it bare? Also, what size hooks?
I was I thinking I might go back down there soon and it'd be nice to not pay for any bait. I usually bring killifish that I catch with me for fluke.

I use sizes 6 and 8. For catchibg bait, I just jig the hooks out of the package. To catch sea bass, blow fish, snappers, etcetera, I cut small pieces of spearing for the bottom two hooks.

What kind of bait are you catching on the sabiki?

Everything. Spearing, bunker, anchovies, sardines, herring. Then, cut up a spearing and bait the bottom two hooks and catch black sea bass, blow fish, snappers, anything small.
