This is fantastic! I didn't know that these guys were still around. This band had an amazing sound. You can see where Rockabilly greats like Brian Setzer and Chris Isaac got their influence.
Mit Ricky Nelson; Sie seufzten. Mit Elvis Presley; Sie riefen. Mit Jerry Lee Lewis und Little Richard; heulte und mit Bill Haley; Sie haben getanzt, weil Bill Haley 100% Rock and Roll ist. MIT ALLEN BEGINNEN!
The guitarist on stage left and playing the solo is Franny Beecher (RIP) who was from Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA. He was with Haley during the hottest, most popular part of his career. There are very, very few people who can claim to be playing rock 'n' roll earlier than he did. As far as I can tell he was the original rock 'n' roll guitarist.
Suenan igual! Sólo falta Bill! Calculo que son de la formación original ya que suenan aún mejor que las últimas formaciones que tuvo Halley en los setenta.
Going through the motions for a fee and a bit of recognition, not expecting them to start jumping on the double bass and doing cartwheels, if it wasn't for the European and Mexican Fans The comets would have faded into the past by the end of 1956, the time of their last hit record in the usa. Haley looked like a middle aged grocer back in the 50s and his music alone couldn't carry him in the usa where more attractive acts were coming on the scene at a faster rate than anywhere else. Today it's nigh on impossible to get a break on talent alone. It's easy to have little talent and good looks stage presence, touring today involves dancers and dozens of musicians light shows etc up on stage to carry the act/ band, it's more like going to a theatre production than a pop/rock concert. As a teenager of the late 50s early 60s I saw many many bands including the Beatles in early 63, eddie cochran and gene vincent 1960, the shadows in 61/62, Marty wilde, Joe brown and so many other's, one of the most memorable was del Shannon? Jesus not sure if that's how you spell his name. Then I went with my own kids to see, the sweet, Gary glitter, slade, mud, David bowie. Took grandkids to see a few acts as well, not my thing but still some good entertainment up until the early 90s
Ya well it is also something they had together and revisiting it might have been special for them. Not always just about money. 60 years later and people are still grooving to them, the music lives on for all to enjoy.
Yeah that guy. He sucked, as do most singers his age. Sometimes it's time to just throw in the towel. No Bill, no Comets. Budin was the only decent lead singer they had after Haley. Bill Haley Jr. is the biggest disaster I've ever heard though. Marshall sounded like Elvis by comparison.
Marshall was alot of the time a great singer with the spinoff group from the comets.....the jodimars another great band so why dont ya clean ya ears out widen your spectrum and give those guys a listen. Then brush up on your history then come back a better student
I use to sing and play this song in the 80's to open the night in bars with my band here in Brazil. Amazing song! I love Bill Haley and his Comets!
Das ist Rock,n Roll pur von der ältesten Band der Welt. 😀🥰😘❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🥰❤❤❤❤❤❤
These old timers can still rock like champs. On time and sounding amazing. More talent than most anything we have nowadays.

This is fantastic! I didn't know that these guys were still around. This band had an amazing sound. You can see where Rockabilly greats like Brian Setzer and Chris Isaac got their influence.
Rockabilly was also done by the Greats Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran...

Wahnsinn! Man muss sich vorstellen, dass diese Herren allesamt über 80 sind.
Full of Rock full of rhythm 🥁 I love this song 💙🎹🎺🏉🎸🥁🎷

Naja. Johnny Grande, piano, ist jedenfalls 2006 mit "nur" 76 gestorben. Von den anderen weiß ich nicht ob sie noch leben

A German Concert in the early 2000s
Does someone know all the ages of the Commets at this time?
No Haley. No Frannie. UUUgh
No Marshall
Sind das tatsächlich Frannie Beecher (Gitarre) und Rudy Pompilli (Saxophon)??

Kinda sad.
@Blader41O You're right, but I can help you. Take a look on my channel. I've uploaded 2 Rock'n'Roll songs to honour our heros. Have fun.
Jacko Budin was a better singer than this guy.
