If I knew they were still doing that, I would have done it more often! I thought they stopped doing DVD-by-mail rentals a decade ago.
I will miss Netflix dvds. I can't find one streaming service that has all the good new movies. 😢
Vudu has individual rentals for $6.
The end of era 😊
They are still doing this?
I didn’t even know they were still doing this.
Yes, I've been a subscriber for 17 years
Surprised it stuck around as long as it did.
All I can say is: The only reason that I was still subbed to Netflix was the DVD's. There are way better streaming services than them with more than a couple of good shows. They lose the DVD's, they lose my sub.
Same here. Netflix has nothing on Streaming I want to see. Tubi has a better selection and it's free 😂
The dve collection is much better then their streaming side, maybe there 2ill be 3nough demand they will being back the mail services
I had Netflix when they first started. When they started the DVD delivery service I had it but after a while they started to get away with offering the movies I liked so I canceled them. But now Netflix isn’t even worth keeping or watching at all. Now that they stopped the DVD delivery service permanently no way Netflix. Your prices are ridiculously high and don’t even have any titles worth watching including tv shows to watch. Folks just cancel Netflix as there are better streaming services out there and they are free.
Does “Red Box” still exist?
yes it does. they have kiosks and a streaming service.
Wait when did they have this
for the last 25 years 😂
instead of ending DVD service they should have added a video game service. This is a stupid move.
They have a game service, unless you're talking about discs.
The Netflix DVD service was really the best bargain in TV and movie access ten years ago. So, why didn't more people continue their DVD subscriptions? They could have easily combined them with streaming. Sadly, people can be foolish. And lazy. It was easier to stream with a remote control as opposed to walking six feet to load a DVD player. Soon less content will be available and will be scattered in more places, often with a cost somewhere. And the foolish consumers who abandoned DVDs will not even know what they gave up.
Owning a copy of the Movie/TV series is what we are giving up. There is the option of buying a digital copy but it really the same.🤔
DVDs also have bonus features not available on streaming. I will miss those DVDs. Yes people can be very foolish.
Netflix literally stopped advertising their mail delivery service and nobody knew it still existed.
I hope they will add more movies and the bonus features to the streaming. I will surely miss DVDs.
DVDs were not HD. Modern content is usually natively HD or higher.
VHS vs DVD in regular show LOL
what?
I thought it was Laserdisc vs DVD.
So... How much will my monthly bill decrease?
The one dvd/bluray disc at a time by mail plan was $10. If you switch to Gamefly, it's only $8.95 but they don't have nearly as many movies to choose from so you'll probably have to get other movies from somewhere else.
For me i'm still buying dvd and blu ray I like to wash them and By streaming live pivot count day. Some people can not afford it streaming.
This is why I won't be involved in streaming a streaming push to owning nothing but digital that can be taken after you worked for it🎉🎉 Welcome to a founded supported digital owning nothing....😮 I will continue to support Redbox till they are gone! After that I'm out of the business of of caring to own anything non essential in life❤❤
Gamefly and 3Dblurayrental are two other options in addition to Redbox
You only have a limited amount of time to rewatch your DVDs. Plus, when you sell them, they will likely be worth less because they were mass-produced.
@@palmshoot the two i listed are rental services and you can keep discs as long as you want, as long as you pay the monthly subscription fee. of course you cant resell them and should return them promptly so you can get your next one.
@@kngrfdegj5940 I was replying to the OP.
Edit: By "limited amount of time," I meant life.
Huh, I don't have a DVD player anymore. I don't pay for movies or music anymore. Why?
shame on you!
@@punapeter If you don't pay for movies or music I was assuming you were stealing them from pirate websites.
@@kngrfdegj5940 LOL WHY? You can download anything off UA-cam.
YT a pirate site?
@@kngrfdegj5940 Spotify and Amazon Musix are legal. So is internet radio.
I don’t watch movies anymore. Too magical fake BS
They still make movies for grown ups 😂
