    Man Ableton makes such great content. They always choose such incredible artists and give them free reign to talk about anything they find interesting and authentic to them.

    I really appreciate that this popped up in my suggested videos today when I haven't really found much or even looked much for stuff on this level of sound design. My phone must be listening! I literally spent my entire last 3 nights recording random things around the house and manipulating them through time/pitch stretching, granular synthesis, resampling and recording with automated effects and pitch bends and such. I've resparked so much more inspiration and life into my work. It's more exciting listening back to these things composed into deeper layers of harmonious music when all the sounds are from my everyday life and surroundings.
    I got masking tape peeled off the roll, squishy sounds walking in mud puddles, the ding from a mechanical microwave, cat purring, crunchy pops from a crushed water bottle.. so much fun!

      its not like i said she is one of the best producers of all time mate, but she is talented and doing well. I really enjoy her ambient works too. She's doing unique things and clearly even Ableton found her noteworthy. Not my first time finding a female producer either buddy

    • @TheBlashMusic
      @TheBlashMusic 6 років тому

      Ableton finds anything avant garde noteworthy, regardless. Also, by saying " Not my first time finding a female producer either buddy", you're implying you've been exposed to many female producers. If what you say is true, why would you need to comment on this producer's gender in the first place as if it were a rarity?

      Nathaniel Brown does your CD drive support burning? Also make sure you are using a CD-R or CD-RW type of disk (which is a writeable disk). a CD-ROM is a Read Only Disk, which mean you can only read from it, but you cant write/store anything on it. If your c CD drive does not support burning a disks then you can search for an external cd drive on amazon that will be hooked up bia usb to your comp.

    • @atomm4675

      Live's (or at least, Live 9's) CPU monitor was always a bit misleading. I haven't used 10 enough yet to tell if the engine is more efficient now, but despite being a bit leaky Live was never as bad as its CPU monitor made it seem. It represented resources with regard to real-time processing, but if you looked at your system then the real load would be way lower. I'm not even sure why Live had its monitor like that; it must have cost them sales over the years!
      You can get a really worrying CPU level from just one or two plugins in Live 9, but then you add more and the CPU meter doesn't change, and add more, and so on. As I say, I hope this is fixed in 10 but I only just bought the upgrade so at the moment I'm going through some tutorials to familiarise myself with all the changes.

    Ableton is the worst daw to manipulate sound. Its very easy to do it but its engin is terrible. it cant handle pitching well.
