I don't know if you will ever read this comment, but I am a South Korean, grandson of people whose lives were influenced if not inflicted by this war. And I have been following you since 2015, my freshmen year of highschool, when I accidently came up to the gem of a channel called the "Great War". And 9 years have passed until the end of the WW2 in Europe. You truly were a lion's portion of my late adolescent years and nascent adult years. Now, just when you are about to cover something that is so up close to me in person, one day before your first video will be launched and 74th anniversary of this War-which still remains a frozen conflict to this day- I will be enlisted as a seamen in the ROK Navy as part of my compulsory military service, a direct product of the Korean War that you will be covering on this channel. Thank you so much for all your works that you have done and will do from June 25th. I've learned so many things on your 10 year long journey, lessons not only of historical figures and events but also valuable lessons of life, circumstances and choices. I hope I can still be in touch with you as even in my military service and continue along with you in this new marathon. I wish you and your crews all the best!

My Great Grandfather fought in Korea. He was in the 65th Infantry Regiment, or, the "Borinqueneers" from Puerto Rico. Once, while in Korea, he was on sentry duty, late at night, and he heard a human sound in the bushes. He knew by the noise that it was not from an animal. Fortunately, no enemy soldiers killed him, and he survived the war. But he always said that he was very scared at that moment. Cannot wait till the new series Indy!

He might have been hearing the screams of a water deer. They're native almost exclusively to the Korean peninsula and their screams sound like a person in extreme pain. It's still common today, so much so that in the Korean Army, corporals on patrol duty will sometimes use it to prank fresh conscripts.

I subscribed to the Great War channel in June 2017, watched & fell in love with WW1 history. I was 16 years old at the time & so, for the latter part of my teenage years, that channel was with me. I believe I even left a comment about it in the November 11th, 1918 episode
Then this very channel itself, saw me through the end of my highschool life & into my adult one. Nothing as gone right for me from 2019-2024, so many downs, barely any ups. But I will never say that I missed 1 *single* episode of WW2.
I love this series & Indy is such a phenomenal narrator. It's hard to believe that this man is 55 years old. You look the same as you did in 2014.

Out of the Trench's on the forgotten Atomic Veterans? My uncle signed up during Korea but was sent to Nevada to be in the nuclear tests in Operation Plumbbob. He wouldn't talk about it for years after and the VA was not his friend.

My grandfather was drafted as a veterinarian for the PVA. He was fortunate enough to not have seen much action, primarily just living through some artillery and bombs dropped in the rear. My hometown Dandong was the largest staging city directly across the Yalu River, and because of that, today it's one of the very few places in China where the Korean War is visibly memorialized.
I've long been living in the Western world since my pre-teen years, but this will definitely be an interesting series to follow from my own perspective.

Growing up, I was fascinated by the Korean war thanks to MASH and a handful of documentaries on the History channel before it transitioned to pawn shops and aliens. As I've gotten older, I've continued to be fascinated by the conflict, and equally disappointed by the lack of content covering it. So glad that you're doing this project. I hope the Korean War can finally get some of the well deserved recognition as a pretty significant moment in the early cold war, and one with lasting impacts in our geopolitical landscape. On top of that, you have some fascinating leaders, some cool new technology, and some very dire situations.
I hope some of the veterans of this conflict who are still around can see that their war hasn't really been forgotten.

My grandad (93 turning 94 in August) served 52-53. His war ended on a mole hill called Outpost Harry. On the first or second night of the PLA offensive. Than the war for all practical purposes ended a month later.

I paused my TimeGhost Army subscription for temporary financial reasons. I'm going to resume it now.
The Korean War is way underappreciated in its impact, and how it bridges from WWII to the entire rest of the Cold War.
If it had gone different in any of a number of ways, the rest of the Cold War could have gone very differently.

My great uncle was in the second infantry division. He was in Korea from August 1950 to August 1951. He left me his purple heart and bronze star when he died last year. I'm very interested in watching this series.
