Been almost 30 years since Earl and I went to college together in Humboldt Co. Wow! this interpretation of one of my all time favorite songs is over the top! Go Earl! I hope our paths will cross in real life soon.
LOVE this version. Brings back great memories of my trip from Holland to San Francisco, meeting 2 dear American friends who I only knew online untill then. We went to see Earl Thomas & The Blues Ambassadors perform at Biscuit & Blues. This song has special meaning to me, remembering one of those friends, who sadly passed away May this year. I was wondering if there is a mp3?
Wow, Earl, thank you for doing this, and SHARING this. Incredible performance. Alot of people might not understand how difficult it was when you do that 'up and down' vocal on " . . would ya still be mine" which was brilliant, and fit PERFECTLY sir! Spectacular, I wish you all the success you deserve my man . . . :)
All alone at the end of the evening And the bright lights have faded to blue I was thinking 'bout a woman who might have loved me I never knew You know I've always been a dreamer Spent my life runnin' 'round And it's so hard to change Can't seem to settle down But the dreams I've seen lately keep on turning out And burning out and turning out the same So put me on a highway and show me a sign And take it to the limit one more time You can spend all your time making money You can spend all your love making time If it all fell to pieces tomorrow Would you still be mine? And when you're looking for your freedom Nobody seems to care And you can't find the door Can't find it anywhere When there's nothing to believe in still you're coming back You're running back, you're coming back for more So put me on a highway and show me a sign And take it to the limit one more time Take it to the limit, take it to the limit Take it to the limit one more time Take it to the limit, take it to the limit Take it to the limit one more time Take it to the limit, take it to the limit Take it to the limit one more time Take it to the limit, take it to the limit Take it to the limit one more time Take it to the limit, take it to the limit Take it to the limit one more time Take it to the limit, take it to the limit Take it to the limit one more time Take it to the limit, take it to the limit Take it to the limit one more time

Glenn is proud
great rendition. for me, this is next to the original
All alone at the end of the evening
And the bright lights have faded to blue
I was thinking 'bout a woman who might have loved me
I never knew
You know I've always been a dreamer
Spent my life runnin' 'round
And it's so hard to change
Can't seem to settle down
But the dreams I've seen lately keep on turning out
And burning out and turning out the same
So put me on a highway and show me a sign
And take it to the limit one more time
You can spend all your time making money
You can spend all your love making time
If it all fell to pieces tomorrow
Would you still be mine?
And when you're looking for your freedom
Nobody seems to care
And you can't find the door
Can't find it anywhere
When there's nothing to believe in still you're coming back
You're running back, you're coming back for more
So put me on a highway and show me a sign
And take it to the limit one more time
Take it to the limit, take it to the limit
Take it to the limit one more time
Take it to the limit, take it to the limit
Take it to the limit one more time
Take it to the limit, take it to the limit
Take it to the limit one more time
Take it to the limit, take it to the limit
Take it to the limit one more time
Take it to the limit, take it to the limit
Take it to the limit one more time
Take it to the limit, take it to the limit
Take it to the limit one more time
Take it to the limit, take it to the limit
Take it to the limit one more time
Don Henley would like to thank Earl for showing him how to sing this song ....
to you babay
are you really thinkin' 'bout women ? ;)
This version is clever because it really takes the song and turns it into the blues, which is what the lyrics are about.
