Your tests are by the far the most thorough and detailed of all the UA-camrs Jay. I have noticed a real dilution of quality in golf content over the last couple of years. It seems every person who can pick up a club thinks they can do reviews and I would say 95% of them are terrible. No detail, no professional insight and terrible quality and production. Yours is the opposite hence why I keep coming back. Really enjoy the videos and look forward to seeing more content in 2023! I may need to get the cheque book out!

      Absolutely right.
Jay seems deeper in his technical knowledge. Probably the best in the UK.
The other UA-camrs are very basic.
Jay is up there with TXG and 2nd swing....

Really appreciate the feedback Pete, it's comments like this that make all the editing worthwhile 😊 I think at the heart of the problem nowadays with the in flux of content creators is the clock bait nature of the videos without any or very little actual substance to them. People either being paid to say something or even worse saying something without any hard head data based evidence to back up that statement. Content creators have a huge responsibility to ensure their spoken word is done accurately and honestly. If everybody did it like me and gave head data after every shot and full head analysis afterwards....... I wonder how many wouldn't cut the mustard and also of the others, how many would have to say something different to what they originally would have said 😊😉😉🤷

Jay you’re the only one I know good enough to hit it on different parts of the face on command . I also like the fact that you slow your swing speed down to what us mere mortals swing at so we can get an idea of how they would suit us.

You got fitted for the 4 iron 😮 okey dokey, I hope you stripe it out of the screws and deliver a whole load of speed with loft then 😊 it's a beauty but needs a proper fast golfer on the other end to use it properly.... In sticking with my more helpful launching hybrids 😊

Just had a quick look at the Robot data, interesting for sure although they need to include the understanding of what D Plane will do to the dispersion circles. Having the robot data is great, they just need to introduce it in a way showcasing what dynamic loft differences will do to the offline and gapping changes between strike locations 👍
But on the whole, really exciting to see 👍

    Your reviews are always interesting.
Currently playing JPX825 Pro irons and looking for a replacement.
It will be nice to see a comparison between the new JPX923 Forged and a generation several years older (e.g. the JPX 850 Pro or my JPX 825 Pro), as I suspect that many owners of these old irons are considering to update their equipment.
It will also help a lot to see tests made at lower swing speed as most user will have a club head speed at about 80 mph.

I love your style of testing for us amateurs who aren’t pros. That said. I’ve seen quite a few of your reviews. But to sum things up. If you had to say… what’s the best performing/forgiving players iron out there these days? I like those small profile, thin soles and top lines. But also need the help from time to time.

I was watching your 300 yard drive video. What is needed to drive the ball 300yards.
Couple of questions for you if I may.
    What driver do you use.
And can you conduct a fitting with Titleist??

You should have been a Gynecologist, with the "in depth" (bad pun) diagnosis. Its good though. i struggle to find a club that fits the Bill, i alternate between Ping I200's (playing well) and Callaway DCB's (game is shite) Need something in between ie middle shot shaping with feel, nice top line and good forgiveness without the dead feel of the DCB.

Since this 923 Forged has a 7-iron spec of 30-degrees, I would possibly like to see a short compare with the 919 Hot Metal Pro, because that too has a loft of 30 (I play it weaker at 32), but the more I look at these JPX Forge vs JPX Hot Metal Pros, the more I think Mizuno should consolidate these 2 clubs into one - and I think if I was buying again next season, I would buy the Forged (if it is as forgiving), and I would also bend it to 32-degrees. Thanks in advance.

You act like you hit it on the toe and heel on purpose.

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  2 роки тому

I do, over the years I've been able to work on trying to hit it intentionally off centre but keeping club head delivery normal. When people deliberately try and hit the ball off the toe or heel for example there is a change in head delivery. When you measure peoples miss hits, they are done with normal delivery because they didn't intend obviously to miss hit it, so the key to measuring forgiveness is learning to hit off centre whilst keeping club head delivery normal. Takes quite a bit of time to learn how to do, but is essential if head forgiveness is gong to be measured 👍
Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍
