And when there's not enough space you can use marker sticks. Nothing more than putting 2 (bank)sticks in the ground, about a rod length space in between, and start winding your line around them until you find your marker elastic, line clip on, wind it back in and ready to go! Very friendly to use the elastic marker, korda has them in 6 meter for €3,49,- Good luck!
Hi Carl, thanks for the informative video. I do however have one question that I am a little confused about. If you clip up whilst the lead is on the bottom with your rod at a 45 degree angle, when you recast surely you wont hit the clip before the lead enters the water so that you can feather it down? Or is this why you lift the rod tip to a vertical position? Thanks, Dan
Dan, if u watch the pros on youtube vids, korda etc, u will see that when you cast you draw the rod back just b4 it hits the clip, then dip the tip forward to soften the lead or spod hitting the surface, this way u feel it down or hit the spot on the spod. Hope that makes sense.
question: once you have clipped up and sent out bait and then taken of the clip....... and caught a fish..... do you cast the rod out to another place and find the elastic distance and clip up ready for putting bait out again.... please help[ buddy as doing my head in where once its taken of the clip and ready for a fish.... how do you get that distance BACK ON THE CLIP?????? CONFUSHING PLEASE HELP BUD TIGHT TINES
If there is enough room yea. I tend to cast out of the way in til the line mark as passed. Then reel in till the mark is correct and re clip up. And done.
Marker sticks for the re chuck every time....had enough wallies casting over me in night lol and its no splashing of a 4oz lead... booooom! in the dark. Gotta be stealthier aint it.
