Very interesting to see. Field Marshal Montgomery was a great man; so too were Marshal Zhukov and Rokosovvsky.

I love how awkward Rokosovvsky seems here. He can take on Army Group Center and its just another Tuesday for him, but getting medals and meeting with foreign dignitaries and Generals? He'd rather have a gun and be put on the frontlines back in 41 then be there at that moment.

Definitely on his mind. The surrender and disarmament of the Wehrmacht was arranged so that they could be rearmed and remobilised extremely quickly if required.

@@keithcrispin1368 It's honestly not being an armchair general in a lot of ways. As much as any "historical record" can be trusted, Monty was a hindrance to the Allied efforts just as Patton could be; both were prima donnas of a sort, both wanted their own way when they wanted it, and the Allied Command had a habit of deferring to Monty rather than the Americans. Why? I couldn't tell you exactly, but that has been recorded, historically. I don't know if I'd go as far as to call him a bigger hindrance than the Germans - that's no more fair than universally saying all French were cowards (funny as those jokes and memes may be) but there is evidence to support his being a nuisance and hindrance in many ways because of his demands and attitude.
