My pleasure, that's exactly why I put it together. Ireland is a beautiful place to hike but the available info is very limited. If these vids get more people out hiking then my work here is done. Any other topics you think I should cover let me know and I'll add it to the playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLTlnQYziLejbwqAKYvO1BLu0nSFhK8EBw.html
Hi Patrick, Thanks for sharing your video. Its was extremely useful and I intend on using your video as a guide when I start my E8 hike hopefully next year. Haven't decided on which direction to take yet but will probably go from Dursey Island to Dublin. I completed the Ireland Way this year in May and although I loved the hike, I found it very difficult to find spots to wild camp because the majority of the land is farm land and it was hard to find someone to ask for permission to camp, or the forests were too dense and wet. Particularly in the Cork/Kerry/Tipp areas. Either way your information will be very helpful. Can I just ask the time of year you done this walk and how many days did it take? Thanks again and kind regards Graham 🥾🥾🥾🥾
Enjoyed your video...it brought back fond memories. I did most of the trail on my thru hike...Dollymount to Dingle back in 2009. A great trail but could do with better signage after the Wicklow Way...My number one piece of advice is two bring a walking pole for the sheep dogs you will come across on the lanes and boreens....when you hear the barking up ahead you will appreciate the security of the pole. But it's a great adventure for any hiker to attempt, you will encounter great sights, and meet the real people of Ireland.
Thank you for these videos! I'm a Canadian planning an Ireland trip for next year (hopefully) and this series has been very helpful.

@@PatrickNoonan I think you covered most everything in this one and the camping one, but if you do any other trails I'll be watching!

Yeah I agree, the most dangerous part of the trail is the dogs and roads!
