Tommy Billington AKA Dynamite Kid. A brilliant and very talented wrestler, who destroyed his career and his life- along with Davy Boy Smith, injecting themselves with Anabolic Steroids, & Human Growth Hormone. Such a waste of a life, and all for the sake of Vanity, and a bit of American Fame.
It's a shame. He did it to get big like the rest of the US stars of the era. It was a tragic tale, but he was very, very talented regardless of his mistakes.
JB was a great wrestler and a bit of an entertainer to the crowd. I still think DK was the best wrestler ever or it could have been Tiger Mask, I can't make my mind up... Love those old World of Sport wresting matches back in the 70's and early 80's. I know wrestlers like Giant Haystacks and Big Daddy added massive entertainment value but JB and DK were both pure technical wrestlers and absolute genius in their profession. Another few matches back in the day to watch are Dynamite Kid vs Mark 'Rollerball' Rocco. Thanks Andy for sharing.
Two master's of their trade, one near the end and one begining. Agree with the one with mark rocco, in top three of all time. Strange how most people make comments on tragic use of steroids if bulldogs when it was encouraged in America if you wish to go far. Hulk, warrior, macho big stars of their time but none of them can actually wrestle.
Agreed, sadly there doesn't seem to be any focus anymore on technical wrestlers so may of seen the last of that type of skills and ring craft being taught any more.
I wonder if this is where Jimmy Breaks gets carried out of the ring on an old door because Dynamite really his back and Breaks couldn't walk afterwards. Dynamite ended up in a wheelchair after he stopped wrestling. Rest in peace Tommy Billington
the story from snake Jake Roberts is that when they were in Calgary fighting, someone in the crowd was heckling Dynamite. Dynamite was on top of Roberts at the time. Dynamite says to Roberts, 'Don't you f'n move.' Dynamite goes into the crowd and pops the heckler. 2 inch fuse. My favorite wrestler back in the Stampede days - but very much blue collar with his social demons.
70-75kg (154-165 lbs) was the welterweight limit. UK wrestling at the time was patterned on Boxing (to make it look legit) so most of the time wrestlers fought within their weight category. Both Dynamite and Bulldog started out that light in their early years!
Jim Breaks died on 25th December 2023. In 2020 he was arrested for killing his ex girlfriend in Gran Canaria where he had retired. It was deemed that due to dementia he was unfit to stand trial. There's no mention as to whether he was suffering from dementia at the time of her death in 2017. It's quite possible he was which makes it mote the tragedy. Breaks was one of the great heels of the 1970s, 5'1" and 11 stone his nickname was 'Cry Baby' because of his in ring tantrums.
Funny you should say that , in later bouts he was interested as "cry baby" Jim Bracks , because the silly sod used to jump up and down, like a toddler having a temper tantrum
@@gilliantregear1268 For killing her, not murdering. But he has been deemed unfit to stand trial due to his psychiatric condition. Experts showed he had no idea what he was doing or what was going on; dementia.
Did he get sentenced? I remember going to Tenerife with my parents back in 2010 and Jim Breaks was working for a company selling time shares, he also invited me to play golf if they ever bought one and we came over
Dynamite was awesome here one of our all time best wrestlers 🤘
Great heel (Breaks) - used to hate him when younger. Now looking back can see his great talent in working the crowd.
Yorkshire twat

Yes indeed the nearest that wrestling got to a tragedy .

I wonder how Breaks made that cracking sound when working his opponent’s wrist. It sounds positively brutal.
Dog clicker in the mouth.
I think it is over used
Slapping his elbow against his side
He maybe just be a good chiropractor
This uploader has some rare wrestling content, thank me l8r www.youtube.com/@thekenjirosangaarena/videos

Greatest of all time was probably DK.....or Rollerball Rocco

Santa brought him the best Xmas day present for 2023. His last day on Earth.

If ya listen carefully...Jim Breaks sounds like a crybaby "Sam Kinneson...OHH...OHHHHH!! when he screams" 🤣🤣hilarious

The Dynamite kid, trained by Ted Bettley. Only had a 2 inch fuse

How small is this Breaks guy when the Kid dwarves him 😂 ??.

Dynamite was around 5'8" give or take.

It’s strange seeing a non-roided Dynamite Kid 🤘🏻🤭
Looks like he's just started on the juice.
Hema roids ?
@MegaVector2011 nope. Started when he got to Canada I believe
@@ysbryd9779 started when he got to WWF - back in Calgary he was fairly skinny. Only when training for the WWE did he balloon up.
Jim Breaks murdered his partner and suffers from dementia in Spain. A nasty piece of work
T'kid wasn't much better.
Yes he did get arrested for murdering his girlfriend, not sure if he was sent down for it, because apparently he's got dementia

Gran Canaria not Tenerife
Wife beater vs Wife killer.
