I saw the video was under 15 minutes for this 8 round contest so it could not go the distance but then time was really running out with it being 1/0 Dennison with 2 minutes left and McManus had it in his contract that he could not be beaten live on Tv yet Dennison was the current British Champ so there was not going to be a winner by K.O. either. I did not think of The Double Disqualification. What A Laugh :)
@@Isleofskye when I was in Berlin (military) we were invited to the practice WWE session before the night time show - Hulk Hogan and all that - running through all their ‘moves’, all mates. I’d always thought some of the endings were a bit staged!
Hi Richard You could not be more right. :) I know they are trained athletes and it does really hurt sometimes and they sustain real injuries but it was fixed to the degree that you almost never got a "2/0" result and I never remember a 6 or 8 Rounds "Best of 3" result ending simply "1/0" with no outright victor, Also in THe USA version as soon as something "new" or out of the ordinary happened it ALWAYS ended in a score immediately afterwards...lol
@@Isleofskye Yes that was when as a teenager I realised it was fixed ,no 1 nils and no draws, And the real injuries were accidental after all each would be expecting to have another bout in a day or two .
But inevitable, I'm afraid. Alan Dennison - Top Man! A decent guy.
A big thank you. Great upload. Great wrestling and wrestlers
Alan was like a circus strong man. incredible strength.
He looked he enjoyed toying with his opponents using his strength to tease them . He made it look so easy .
My Mam loved Mick Mcmanus an absolute loveable rogue.
Rip. Mr Mcmanus.
Alan Dennison. Not a big man, but certainly a powerfully built - and strong - small one.....
Alan dennison amazing
Two very experienced pro's. who really know how to "sell" a bout.
Mick McManus nothing but a punching cheat , he couldn't wrestle to save himself , he's never won an honest match in his life , maybe rest in peace 🙏🙏🙏
