Lili'uokalani wrote this song when she was in prision by the U.S. government. Still to this day the Kingdom of Hawai'i is still alive and well. There is a Kingdom of Hawai'i in the U.N.. Many of the countries are questioning the U.S. government on their actions. The kingom is rising from the ashes and into the light. Slowly. You did a good job on this song Keiko. The First Nations on the Pacific Coast are going through the same as you in Hawaii. They actually got me into uke. I play a baritone and prefer to play songs in Hawaiian language rather than Americanized versions. I also play guitar and banjo, but keep going back to the uke, especially when I need mental healing. Good Job Keiko.

A wonderful song! Usually I played it wit accordion in Germany and sang in German word es. Now as pensioner learnt few other instruments and Ukulele too. Would you allow that I use your video to play together and record it and upload it on my Chanel? There different possibilities that you can be seen too and your name! I just want to show my friends. ウクレレで初めに四つのキーを覚えると曲が弾けるようになると聞き、三日かけて四つのキーを覚えました。
次に、一曲選んで弾くと楽しいと聞いたので、ハワイアンソングを探していたところ
偶然Keikoさんの動画に出会えました。
凄く分かりやすく作成されているので初心者でもチャレンジしてみようと思えました。
優しくて綺麗な歌声にやる気スイッチが入りました
まだ二日しか経っていないのでついていくのがやっとですが、家事の合間に小まめに弾いています。
指が動くようになったら歌も覚えたいと思っています。
海なし県の山暮らし、長い冬の楽しみが出来ました。
ウクレレは主人が誕生日プレゼントに贈ってくれました。
来年１月の私の誕生日まで待てなかったようで９月に貰いました（笑）
誕生日に主人に感謝の演奏をするのを目標に頑張ります。いまは７２歳です( ´艸｀)
