My brother and nephews fish north central to north western Ohio and have for years. It’s unbelievable how much that fishery has grown since I lived in that area. Tight lines!!
We are truly blessed to live close enough to Lake Erie to experience her bounty! It takes us all to keep her healthy for all now and future generations to experience her in their own way. Thank you for the comment!!! Team O.T.T. GET THE NET!!
Thank you! We wish you best of luck out there tomorrow. Where are you going out from, Charter or Private? Either way first trip ever or first of the year....Great fishing this time of the year if you get out. Thank you again and Be Safe!
Thank you for the Sub! We greatly appreciate that. Boat is 20" 6" Statos 326XF. On a day like we had on 3/2/24 you could have been in a canoe. I have seen boats smaller than mine out there even on rougher seas. Biggest thing is to make sure you have all your safety measures in order, all equipment is working perfect and use your own best judgement. Don't Gamble your life for some fish. Check the weather forecast. WIND direction & MPH is key no matter where you launch from. Some areas will be better or worse than others. Find a bay, backside of an island or stay closer to shore on the up wind side. For those fishing Western Basin like we mostly do. Wind from S, SSW, W is best. N, NW, NE or even East...Go to the river. Wind speed for every 5 MPH equals 1 Ft. wave... 10 mph you will have 2 footers etc. Davis Besse (power plant) old saying "Smokes on the Lip--STAY at the SLIP".. Get your gear, boat equipment in top order, check out the apps available like IWINDSURF, local lake shore forecast (inland even 5 miles can be different than on the lake) Remember she makes her own weather. Choose a calm forecast day and go out there for that first trip out. Get the experience, talk to other fisherman, captains (Go out with a Capt. a few times is best way). Then keep safety foremost and HAPPY FISHING! Good luck friend... Team O.T.T.
Thanks for the info my friend. We have a 17’ aluminum v that’s pretty steady. But we mostly fish the Ohio and Tennessee rivers. Not big waters. I had been thinking about staying in the Sandusky bay. I know it’s not as good as the lake but we could probably still catch some walleye or even perch. Thanks again.

I SEE IT 39 FT 1.1 MPH
Good video guys. What size boat do you have? I want to bring my boat up but not sure if it’s big enough. Thanks I subscribed. 👍
