"See you in the next life, Big Man." No, I'm not crying. You are.
David Dutton such a beautiful moment. And the perfect song to dedicate to Clarence.
"Losing him was like losing the rain." That line gutted me. I think we are all accustomed to that feeling when a loved one passes. And it's awful.
❤
"And losing him was like losing the rain"...nothing gets new again without...rain.
I crumpled when he said that. Such a moving, heartbreaking way to express sorrow.
The silence after he says this is so strong
I was sobbing at the line “see you in the next life big man”
I love this guy ❤️
“Losing Clarence was like losing the rain.” 5:17. Breathtaking, such a beautiful love!
"When he played, he whispered that story in my ear." Such a beautiful tribute. When Bruce said, "but he was elemental in my life, and losing him was like losing the rain." The friendship, the brotherhood, the love that they had for each other is an absolute blessing. It would be one of my greatest honors to one day be spoken about in the same way. Absolutely beautiful! Well done Bruce!👏👏👏🤜🤛 RIP Clarence
1+1=3
These are the moments that make life worthwhile. Trust me, as I have been thru some horrible stuff - Springsteen at his best has no equal.
1+1=3 Visions of Bruce and the E Street Band making their way out of the uncertainty of life on E Street and carrying on God's Modest work. Seam less ly, Scooter found his groove. He is not alone. The Love that formulates 1+1=3 is alive and well, and continues to inspire us to keep carrying on God's not so Modest work. God took the tears that flowed from the heavens and rained down a blessing on Bruce giving him renewed vision for E Street, and a walk down Broadway where he brought Home the Loot. Someone prayed for that formula to cover Bruce , and Bless him over and over again.
Yep, tears came when he started talking about Clarence
Same I am listening to this for first time I have CD coming in mail today
Absolutel Love!
You can almost hear Bruce's heart breaking here talking about Clarence...😢🙏.."Big Man"
Everybody's got a version of Clarence in their life I'm only 26 I lost mine a few years ago. But I still sit back right easy and laugh and bust every city that I can in half.
I lost my version, my grandmother Mary Wiggins on 12/18/2001 at age 62, thanks to my mother's elder neglect. I bust NYC in half in the 20 years she's passed and any other city I go to. I was 18 when she passed, and now I'm 39 years old.
This is too much! Too f** ING real!! I remember that day like I remember the day Danny passed away. I had never met either of them unfortunately, but that day I felt like part of my family were gone! I still do! I've been lucky enough to meet since then Nils, Garry and Jake a good few times and I'm very proud to see the ESB as my uncle/aunts from the states that I never had! Thanks Bruce and the rest for all these moments 🥰 Ye transmit so much to us!! 😘
REMARKABLE , I SAW BRUCE & THE BIG MAN AT HAMMERSMITH IN 1975 , THE CONCERT OF MY LIFE ..... CLARENCE JUST BLEW ME AWAY ALL NIGHT .
Martin O'BRIEN the album from that concert is my favorite sampling of Bruce live or studio, that’s awesome!
I lost my "big man" almost a year ago. Life isn't the same. Never will be. I miss you so much. Rest easy, my friend. RIP. Thank you, Bruce for that loving tribute to your big man.
Best show I've ever seen in my life
my favourite Bruce song and my favourite version of it
Someone's got to make a movie about Bruce Springsteen just like they did with Johnny Cash because if you have a movie about Johnny Cash you got to have a movie about the boss Bruce Springsteen I feel Bruce Springsteen should run for president 2020 Springsteen
jerry janik .. who would play Bruce? Al Pacino is too old
Did a whole book project on him, because I just love his philosophies and he inspires me so much ❤️
If after this you don't understand how deep Bruce's and clarence's friendship was you have no heart.
I come to this track when I need to cry
G. O. A. T.
Clarence symbolized everything that was a brotherhood about the east street band.
