I'm not an overtly spiritual person, but I think the fact that both times you've been going through heartbreak, you've also gotten an Oswald guitar that alleviates some of that pain is something to take note of...
So what you're suggesting is that if you've ever been through heartbreak you should buy an Oswald? If so I like the idea a lot but I do need to know if I can apply it to multiple scenarios to catch up? 😉
I simply love this guitar, I’m incredibly jealous, looks stunning and sounds beautiful! I could listen to you play it endlessly, you make it sing! 👍🏻❤️
Dave i dont know you personally but i wanted to say I'm sorry for what youve gone through in life but im so glad your outlet gives you and so many people including myself a sizeable degree of happiness. Ive always felt that although sad its often those that have suffered uneasy times that provide the most passionate art... Please dont feel you need to cut off an ear though mate and i hope better times are ahead very soon 😊
It really is a beautiful guitar although I`d struggle with the slotted headstock tbh, only through ignorance ! It`s sooo different to the generic Fender/Gibson/PRS offerings - and the reason I bought an Atkin 'The Boosh' recently. Got to say I may be contacting Nick at Oswald to build me something special. Any chance you could make an Oswald video one day - go over there, meet Nick, tour etc ??
Dave Simpson is the man......from New Age guitar outer space, to metal, then using the bow, then back to space! Thank you! I want to be able to play like you, such an inspiration.
That IS definitely a new take on the electric guitar. Best. Relic. Job. Evah! Amazingly realistic. Yes Please and I hate relicing. Best Regards and Best Wishes!
Congratulations on the new guitar. Looks amazing sounds great 👍🏻 I love the idea of the 5 hour video. You should live stream for 5 hours. I’d watch and I’m sure everyone else would #RGIANT
Everything about that piece of art is totally agreeable..... Indeed, a lot of work and effort has gone into building a complete masterpiece, if I may venture to say..... you are such a fortunate man, Mr Dave..... I love the headstock and the machine heads, the colour, that heel block, the PAF type pups, the gorgeous neck and the binding.... With that guitar and the Jubilee, I would just never stop playing....ever ❗
I love it, it looks a tad like the squier troublemaker but wayyyyy nicer 😂. Plus the slotted headstock is super different and bring the aesthetic to upper level. It’s great I love it… congrats on your new axe. You deserve it💯🔥❤
I fookin love stratopauls…fender hh or hsh for me at the moment, used to be harder to find 25.5” HB guitars that were not super shredder styled, you turned the Oswald around to the back and I creamed me pants, beautiful and looks so comfy and you love it, I love it ❤
Amazing video and playing Dave! Also, do you have any tip on getting nice tones out of a solid state marshall mg15r? I know it is a practice amp, but I want to have the best tone I can with this little boy since its what I have now. The main problem is that the overdrive channel seems too trebly and thin, and crunchy and distorted tones are almost never good. If you have any tip, I would love to hear. Thank you so much anyway!
Looks like a Les Paul with a different headstock and body shape and bridge and electronics and different everything. So it actually doesn't look like a Les Paul at all. (But still looks like a Les Paul to me...)
Hi, Dave. Gotta agree with stealthy7; it's like kind of stealing the traditional headstock of nylon-strings. A bit jarring, but certainly not dispositive of this obviously special instrument. @RedGiant 🤘
dave, your music make feel special, thanks....
I love you man! You’re probably in my Top 5 of favorite UA-camrs. Keep going, your music is awesome.
I feel like I enter a trance any time I hear you play. You have a magical touch that you bring into your playing.

Cracking video as always Dave. Great guitar and even greater playing.

I second that... Would love to meet the maker, and see Dave, and him maybe do a jam together!!
Always the best to you, yours, and the Red Giant Family!
Awesome sound- you're the man Dave
It’s like all the cool guitars through history had a baby, I love the slotted headstock…imagine the look on segovias face ❤
Hey Dave you’re exactly what’s best about humans, keep strong and have all the fun, thanks as always for sharing as our friend ❤
Dave Simpson is the man......from New Age guitar outer space, to metal, then using the bow, then back to space! Thank you! I want to be able to play like you, such an inspiration.
Keep on playing Dave, that's what we are here for! Not to mention the great guitars and, man, that feedback...
That IS definitely a new take on the electric guitar. Best. Relic. Job. Evah! Amazingly realistic. Yes Please and I hate relicing. Best Regards and Best Wishes!
I say play until you stop. To see you this enthused is awesome, good sir!
I like that bluesy little bit you did in your playing. I think that guitar is amazing for sure.

Glorious sounds!
Awesome Dave 👌
There is nothing worse than anticipating that email from Nick about your new guitar being finished lol, can't wait to hear what it sounds like.
Looks very much like the golden troublemaker, currently made by Squier. However the strat shape and the classical headstock makes this interesting.

Hi Dave, enjoy your new gear. I am drooling over the Fender amps in the back...
Enjoy the new Oswald Dave....you deserve it .....great atmosphere in your playing ....new axe new moods... Enjoy !!!
Glad you like 🩷your new guitar 🎸 . You killed the Cloudburst 🙃. 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵💖⭐️
gorgeous
Amazing!
This playing reminds me of Pink Floyd Division Bell album so much, it sounds so good man! Hope youre doing okay
9 Oswalds? Dang, you have more Oswalds than I have guitars, including my acoustics and bass!!😮 Sweet axe!!
I have six guitars and I have a problem every time I play one I have to play every single one of them!
love it
Dave has that GIlmour feel Love it !!
Love that headstock Dave..👍🇦🇺
I think you should do a vid to see how long you can play for would be good . Dig you vids really inspiring . 🤟👍
Blues on Goldy towards the end 👌
You can make anything sound good Dave!
I will easily listen to you play guitar for hours, so yes please upstairs Dave make an long play session 🤘🏻
I need to start saving because I really want a master Nick guitar
Hi Dave, great video.Have you still got the East coast gold top.. thanks.❤🎸.
I don’t no.
Thanks Dave.❤️.
you didn't even mention the weird headstock that looks like it's from a classical guitar which is... unusual
Yeah I know what's up with that?
Check out the unboxing video.
Beautiful and inmersive playing Dave, thanks for that! :) Which pedal are u using to create that ambience kind of sound?
Strymon cloudburst.
kind of reminds me of my squier nashville strat.
Sounds great, what’s the scale length, I can’t hear scale length as much as I can feel it in playing, need 25.5 for microtonal nuances

I haven’t played on one of those for years, so i’m not sure. Sorry.
Hi 😊👋
If a guitar ever said “play the blues” to me…. it was probably that one…
Great playing as always dave _ the guitar itself not really my thing _ but ugly I thought lol ❤
9 oswolds , Christ there like over 3 grand each,
Just look at all the equipment in that room!
I've never seen a high watt amp like that looks like 3 ft wide!
has anyone seen 0swaLd❓he's up in Dave's rooom r0ckin ouT... 🎵r0ck0n 🎵
👋🏻🎸💖🕊️🤘🏻
hand carved body? even gibson uses cnc machines
Set the camera and play on Dave!
Dave, you still got that Charvel CX291? And would you sell it to me?
I sold it years ago.
@ dah, oh well. Cheers anyway. I rather like those.
When you said 25 inch scale Length, did you mean just 25, or 25.5?
Whatever fenders are.
what happened to your wheelie bin guitar... that you were fixing up and turning into a shred monster
I donated ot to the dorset guitar museum.
did you ever think of eschewing all plectrums and picks?..
I have, but prefer a plectrum.
The sound of that guitar is putting me to sleep
Looks like a Les Paul with a different headstock and body shape and bridge and electronics and different everything.
So it actually doesn't look like a Les Paul at all. (But still looks like a Les Paul to me...)
Dave, your Oswald guitar is great except for the heads stock. It screams fender CBS headstock the big one sorry dude good Guitar otherwise
The neck on my Oswald is leagues above any of my other guitars. The string tension is so low, and with SS frets, it plays itself.
If the neck feels good, and it’s resonant and pretty, you’ve got one, this one seems like all that and more magic 🪄 ❤
