you know what's funny is that Ford offers that tailgate side step on their superdutys. I just ordered my superduty with that step and it is FANTASTIC! the Ford middle step is great but it's to high on the superduty. the side step being alot lower than the bumper makes it very convenient and useful! glad you enjoy your sidestep as much as i do!
Thanks for the review. I've been trying to get info on how well the steps work, but when I search for a review I am first given a long list of install videos. Even the ones labeled install and review mostly talk about install, talk a tiny bit how these might be useful without showing anybody actually using it. When I look for a review, your video is exactly what I am looking for.

That adjustable tube is called a “load bar” we use them to secure loads in semi trailers. They can be found at most chain truck stops. (You’ll need to look for the short ones) about 25$
Never been a problem going down or up after a long winter trip. Bringing it down breaks off the ice and going up has enough force to lock it back into position. That's why I love it Dan.
The step is north of $3C. I use a $20 HD plastic step stool kept at the tailgate with a couple $25 Tractor Supply ratcheting load bars. No link to HD load bar!
@@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch have a stalled project involving telescoping tubes, twist lock pin and a model A bumper step plate. It would push up, swing in and stay. Toe operation untested.
My 2008 f 250 had a step and handle built into the tailgate. I don’t know why every truck doesn’t have this type of system now!,,, also I use a 2x6 cut to fit across my truck bed at the end near the tailgate. All trucks have places for a piece of lumber to fit across. In several places. Mine gives me about 18 inches +/- . If you don’t need it it pulls out quickly. It’s cheap and awesome
lol that no old man step Alec, Land Rover Discoveries had those for yuppies (some people) utility (the others). Its a great looking truck and wish Ford would bring the F150 to the UK.
Your roads are too narrow! Diana and I have been to England several times (and will be back in September - maybe we can meet!). While driving around Kent, south of Bridge where my dad was born, we were on numerous roads that run between towns that are really only 1 lane roads. If another car approaches, both have to slow down and crowd the fences to get past. If I had my F150, I'd not be slowing down for anybody!!!!!!!!!! And I don't think your parking spaces would work either. They seem made for the Ford Focus - not the F150. Take care Peter. Alec
I recall you hinting at getting over in spring, which are I say officially passed last week where we had more "chaos" caused by the snow (which by the way I love). You are welcome over whenever you come, it would be great to meet, dive and even hang out. Show you a thing or two we like to do also in addition to diving. Take care for now, Peter
I just got a new F150. I've installed a slow drop tailgate cylinder, a tailgate lock (so the tailgate can't be lifted off and a tailgate seal. It's darn near perfect! Alec
Bravo.... thats a good idea a rear corner side step, the video is now sorted Alec thanks for posting.....
Thank bristol for the confirmation. I thought it was just me. Decided to delete, re-upload and release was the best fix. Appreciate your watching.

@@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch no. They offer the same step you have installed but only on the superduty models. It’s an option
Nice 👍 I’m 30 and I’m looking for a. Bed step and I found this video thanks from H-TOWN

Thanks Darren. We have another Pickup tip coming in a while to go with this one.
Great idea maybe for Christmas :)
I think so too!

I've only ever seen 2 different models of this step offered and I've used them both. They both work really well.

Your video helped me. Thank You!
Great. That's all I ask.
I use a stick with a hook to grab stuff in the truck. very handy
Sounds very Canadian!
Where are the links to buy the foot step?

I put that step on my f 150, works great.
Neat idea for every truck RD.
Thanks for watching.

What is it called?
Where did you get the steps?
Fantastic
Thank you! Cheers!
How does the step work once you get slush and ice build up back in the bumper area?

I don't know if I classify as old man yet at age 36, but I really want that back step.
I say it shows brains, not age. Smart guys get jobs done easy to save their knees for dancing at 85!!!!

I'm waiting for a full power lift-up so I don't have to take a step up. It's coming some day.

In Ontario, Canada, 1.5 hours north of Toronto. In what we call the 'snow belt'.

I kept waiting to see how awkward that step was when getting out of the bed, they never did show him doing that
Without that first step, you would hear a Thump! Then a yell for Diana!

Wish Ford would've figured out the GM tailgate idea, because GMs are shitty and I'd buy a Ford with that new tailgate today.

Just get in from the middle
One of the best features of this step is that you can use if the tailgate is up or if it's down.
You can't do that with a center step.
