Thanks for sharing Ape. As I continue to expand my skillset, I can always count on you. I have the near same unit on my workbench right now and I'm scratching my head on how to tackle it.
great review ! I have been using Li-Time stuff for years. never has a problem. battery's are super good. nice clean inverter . now do RFI test on inverter . a outher test you can do is check power cables that came with that. thermal camera test of crimp leads and the voltage drop test. put meter on volts and pos at battery and the neg lead of meter to pos on inverter. this tells the voltage drop of the red wire, now do the same with black wire. then add the 2 together. that total drop. if too much use bigger wire or replace one with bad crimp or solder the crimp. test under load. that how you test inverter leads to battery. for RFI noise use type 31 snap cores on power input at inverter both leads . + and - . then ac out at inverter. I had to put ferrite core on remote lead on inverter to stop RFI as well. now when power goes out you can watch cat video's . grid goes down a lot. great to have good inverter like this. I got same power queen battery. 200 Ah . my cat sleeps on it. worship the queen I say. 73's
I have one of these inverters on my 2000 watt solar power system here in Jamaica. It works very well, only issue is, the fans when they trip on and very loud.
I just picked up a Renogy 7000W inverter for my truck. It's as big as an Ape! I will use a 60A switchable (open/closed) fused disconnect inline. The one spec I could not find was the 12VDC drain at full load.
I got the same inverter in my truck. I have ran a heat gun on it for a little bit until 60a fuse blew I switched out for 80a fuse and tried a chipping hammer 1400w and inverter will shut off after a few seconds but fuse didn't blow. Fuse is suppose to protect your wire not the inverter. I think your fuse is suppose to be 1.2x the load but 80a is the next size up. My cables they claimed to be rated 112a
Excellent. Questions, why was the output voltage so low at 109 vs expected 120? Should a fused switch be installed between battery and inverter? Thanks!
That is a lot of inverter for the price. I am surprised how nice the waveform is under load. I have seen off brand "pure sine wave" inverters that were not so pure!
China for the win! I'd really like to see the scope display (and THD) when the load is not purely resistive. How about a nice large AC motor with brake applied for some drag? (Or use a hand drill as it does some work.) I also wonder how the RFI is on this baby. Further testing please. Thanks Ape. 🙂
You didn't go with the 3000W version? With Bluetooth and all the fancy features? And I believe K8MRD's cat (Satan) was in his video on the 3000W version. 🤣 Thanks Ape. Good video. It does give me a good comparison of the 2 options.

I am sure you will pull something out of your hat, thanks for watching Bob 👍
Came for the cat video reminder, stayed for the review. Looks good.
Thanks TR, I think this will be the new test inverter when I review batteries.
Thank you so much The Smokin Ape! Excellent review, l agree the ports are too close but the sign wave is great ,power out put is great! Awesome ☺️
Glad you liked it Mary, thank you for watching 👍
Love my LiTime inverter!
Hey Mike, I think this one will replace my GoWise on the test bench.
What, no smoke? Ain't you TheSmokinApe?
There were sparks, unfortunately off camera.
@@TheSmokinApe Sparks = ratings.
@@WECB640 I know. I was connecting the battery and the inverter was on. I should have had the film rolling
Looks like a nice inverter!
Howdy Chuck, I think this just promoted to the primary.

I like some of those idea, thanks Rob 👍
Excellent review Ape. Thanks!
Thanks Christian!
Ya can't beat that color scheme.
It does look slick 👍
Nice inverter, i have one similar to it to run a small heater in my bass boat for the winter months to thaw out my fingers 😂😂 nice review, Ape !
Yeah, I really like this one. Thanks for watching BA 👍
I have one of these inverters on my 2000 watt solar power system here in Jamaica. It works very well, only issue is, the fans when they trip on and very loud.
Hey Lawrence, I agree with you about the fans...
That is a good looking sine wave.
Yeah, I like this inverter 👍

Holy smokes @ 7000w, I bet its a monster!
@@TheSmokinApe LOL! Sorry, too many zeros, it's 700 Watts.

Hey SF, I wasn't expecting it to look as good as it does. Thanks for watching Bro 👍
I believe the word you're looking for "outlets"
That sounds about right

I actually found a noise meter in my pile of "stuff". I'll do a short video...
Can you tell me how much draw on battery just to run inverter without anything turned on?
Thanks
Hola quisiera saber que cantidad de electrodomésticos pudiera conectar a este inversor con 2 baterías de 100 ah de litio?
Would depend on how much current they draw at the same time 👍
good review
Thanks Thump!
Does anyone know if this is the Same inverter as the Power Queen 2000?
I would like to see inside both.
I’m suspect much of the equipment sold by both companies is sourced from the same manufacturer
@@TheSmokinApeI believe you are correct, The Li Time, Redodo & Power Queen inverters are identical inside. Great test & review Thanks👍👍
How's the fan noise on the inverter?
I didn't notice it... So I am going to say I have no idea 😳
You didn't go with the 3000W version? With Bluetooth and all the fancy features? And I believe K8MRD's cat (Satan) was in his video on the 3000W version. 🤣 Thanks Ape. Good video. It does give me a good comparison of the 2 options.
Satan is always in the background producing my videos.
They just asked if I wanted to review this one...
Ah, incorporating the cat video into the video is a good idea...
@@TheSmokinApe Like I said, it gave me the opportunity to see the differences.
If I read the display accurately, it looked as if the output voltage was 109-110 vac under load. Is that correct?
Yes, that sounds about right.
I am pleasantly surprised! Why, oh why are you forcing me to buy this???
LOL, I was a little suprised at the waveform as well.
Dear Mr. Ape, again - time well spent watching your video. Thank you. KQ4IXD
Thank you, glad you liked it 👍
The AC plugs are no good to me but maybe they have VK versions.
It looks super heavy duty and that sine wave will give a HAM a 'SexyTime'.👍🤠
I think this one will become the new test inverter when reviewing batteries.
Too bad they did not include remote switch in the design.
That would be handy
where is my Dang CAT VIDEO! I am triggered!!!!
LOL, thanks for watching Matt 👍
Is a review unit really payment? Seems like nobody cares about most tech reviewers getting computer parts to review.
In ham radio, they care for some reason 🤔
Those are jacks, son, jacks. Not plugs on the inverter.
hmmmm. could it be 'receptacles' ? ;)
eh... plugs, jacks, ports, receptical...
