Thank you Nick, I have learnt much from your informed advice and content. Recently acquired a Victron Phoenix 12/800 VA any chance you could test it? Kind regards Paul
Good review Nick. A 1000 watt inverter is less useful than my Giandel 600 watt inverter. I have a power station that has only a 1152 watt battery and an 1800 watt inverter to be more useful. The 1000 watt inverter is in a spot that most 120 volt appliances don't use.
Wow that looks like a great deal and it's even cheaper than the Renogy inverters. I'd love to see a review on the LiTime 3500W Solar Inverter Charger and the LiTime 3000W Inverter Charger (too bad neither of those have split-phase outputs, but maybe they can be connected together?)
I won't be reviewing a 3,000W 12V inverter. Check my video: 'how many batteries for a 3,000W inverter' it's my most popular video. But the inverter charger looks like a good one to test.
Your detailed reviews are very good. Would be nice to see the output wave form on the scope, under non resistive loads, such as fridge. Missing no load curent (self consumption value). Thank you, and best regards.
Thanks for this education video ! Plan to view more of your videos& purchase your book! Been doing small projects for several years on my home. 12 volt & 24 volt lead acid battery! Looking to upgrade to lithium & add 36 volt off grid & possible 48 volt in house on grid very soon! TY
I have not tried connection it to a PSU. As long as you don't go over the rated power of the PSU then it should work. I don't think there is PFC (Power factor correction), why would it?
good video! is the heatgun abit different in the terms of surge power... a motor which starts takes the surge to begin rotating but the heatgun does not have any such mechanical load ( the vent inside does not matter much ) ??
Does using only one outlet or both outlets change anything? Can they both be connected to the same load, to share the load? Or do you need to share the load with different loads plugged into different sockets?
There is a was to get this inverter Switch on automatically when battery is recharged ? I have the 2000W Version and is eccellent, but it switch off when battery is emphy and need then to push the on button to restart it, when battery get recharged.
Not to my knowledge. It means that your system is not correctly sized. Either too many loads or not enough solar panel/recharge capability. A battery should almost never be drained in a correctly sized system. Check my video about how to size a solar system for off-grid.
@@cleversolarpower thanks for the reply. Yes I know I need to install a new panel for winter … but is anyway used only in summer and at the moment I have no fly planned to transport the panels.
This looks very similar to a "FlameZum" brand inverter that I have. I've got a 3500w (7000 peak) version which is longer but otherwise almost identical, same cables, terminals and remote control.
This is a cheap high frequency, output transformerless inverter. They offer poor surge capacities, and short life expectanies. A much better choice if you want a product that lasts is to purchase a low frequency, transformer based inverter.

Hallo Nick, it does not seem like your e-mail function on your website is working, can you please check if there is a problem with it?

Nice review. I’m a fan of your channel, your book and Litime products.
Thanks!

Good idea, I will see if i can get a resistive load.
Does this inverter have any EU or USA certifications ?
why would u care for an offgrid system?
Their low frequency has. Fcc and rohs. I am thinking about it for half horse pump
Interesting test on the European version. Thanks for sharing Nick!
Thanks for your comment Matthew.

Lead-acid, the good old days 😄 thanks for the comment!
Can i power on this inverter with ac-dc psu instead of battery, also does this inverter have PFC ?

@@cleversolarpower Are negative (-) and ground on schuko plug connected together ?
Hello.Good Review as always.Do you have promo code for European version inverter? Thanks.
I posted the link in the description €110 shipped from Germany.

The heatgun has almost no surge power because it's resistive. The fan is a little bit inductive, but not a lot.
What is THD of this inverter ?
Thanks, does the inverter charge the Battery whiles the power is on?
Thanks
No, this is only an inverter, not an inverter/charger.
@@cleversolarpower OK thanks Brother

The two outlets and the ac out busbar are all connected with each other. So it doesn't matter which one you use. Good question 👍
@@cleversolarpower That is exactly what i thought, but i wanted to be sure. Thanks for the reply.
Very good review. I was curious about that one.
efficiency under higher load with the heatgun would be interesting and surge power with a powertool like a drill etc. or an ac compressor.
I tested it again with a 800W heat gun and it is 91% efficient.
@@cleversolarpower What about with inductive loads?

Hola quisiera contactsr cin usted para q me ayude a montar un sistema con 2 baterías un inversor de 2mil w un cargador dual
I have the 2000W of this model en after a little time by using only 100 watts the fans go on and off every 5-10 sec and are very loud
Did you keep it or find another brand? My 1000w does the same thing.
@@sirjay23 Yes i keep it because its in a barn for the rest its just works fine
👍
Pay a bit more and get a 1500w inverter.

I'm running a American fridge and cloth washing machine with a 1000watt modified sine wavr with 2000watt surge. MADE IN CHINA 👍
What brand is that pls?
American version lacking as usual! anything to keep you on grid
