Haha, Yes it was 1 take took them 4 times to get this take, they used a abandoned basement , ( so they thought ) when they were shooting they got caught and told they had 1 hr !! lol

@@setonhillstudios He mentioned in an interview that when they left, he had no idea if they had a take they could use, it was only when he sat down to mix that he knew he'd managed to pull it off, and there was a take worth using.
Ren is very versatile. His music is addictive., The defenision of "otherworldly", because we've never heard anything like it before. And it's beautiful. As long as it sounds good. And with Ren it always does. He's a legend already and a genius. Best regards from Norway 🇳🇴
For those who still don't know : at 17 Ren contracted Lyme disease...was MISdiagnosed as having "mental issues"...given psychotropic meds that wrecked his physical and mental health...finally received correct diagnosis and is still in treatment (maybe for life)............
That is such a crazy story, so tragic! He’s such a master story teller and amazing musician, glad he’s still able to create for sure!

The world hasn't experienced a musical genius like this since at least Prince. Plus he seems to be quite a genuine entity. Not full of himself, humble, obviously willing to let other musicians shine when playing with him. He is exactly what this world needs right now. Real poet, talking about real things, and not just bragging all the time. Just my opinion by the way. I don't pretend to know anything beyond what is presented.
I have to say he’s pretty awesome. All around amazing musician and lyricist, seems like a genuine dude as well, like you said based on what is presented.
I have listened to Ren many times over these 13 months and haven't seen anyone nail this young man so well, especially after just this ONE exposure too him. VERY WELL DONE!

Just go as deep as you can into the Ren rabbit hole. There's no other artist like him. And he doesn't really repeat when it comes to staying within any genre. He's great at so much.

He is more then that. Check out his 1 million subscriber thank you speech ! That should give you a idea of the man ! And on his u tube he has 209 songs. Should listen to a few, Everybody drops is good , Humble, Life is funny !! just a few !Ren has been through some nasty shit, I copied this and post it on new reactors messages. He was bitten by a tick when he was 16 or 17 He got really sick from it and went to doctors and they could not figure what was wrong with him. When he had joint pain, muscle spasms, skin rashes, boils, internal organs started shutting down, And Doctors had no idea what was going on. He was loosing weight and had constant fatigue could not even stand to shower.. Doctors started sending him to psychological evaluations, They told him his mind was making him sick ! And started treating him for that with some heavy pharmaceuticals. And all that shit really fucked with his mind, He started believing he was crazy. And this went on for 8 fucking years !! 8 YEARS !! He pursued his own symptoms and lead to a Doctor that gave test for Lyme disease. Where he lived it was very rear to ever contract Lyme disease so he was never tested. When he went in described his symptoms the Doctor knew what he had. Ran the DNA test and found it in his system. However it has been in there for 8 years and has done a lot of damage to his body. He can only eat like 6 things his bones still hurt and the autoimmunity may never be healed.
He had to go into surgery to remove tissue to generate stem cells grown outside his body then under go treatment taking the stem cells to remove the Lyme disease chromosome. That was in LA then he went to Calgary and under going treatment on the damage the Lyme left.. He is still there until June. Welcome to Ren he is a talent I have never seen. And I have seen a LOT !! He has 209 songs on u tube no joke I pretty much like them all new and old !!

For REN, this was truly his reality. Ren had misdiagnosed Lyme disease for 7 years by conventional doctors who deemed him mentally ill, but when patients are experiencing neurological symptoms, they very often become misdiagnosed. Lyme disease can present itself as many neurological conditions including Acute Transverse Myelitis[3], Ptosis[4], Seizures, and Chronic Fatigue[1] and these symptoms can be often misdiagnosed or deemed psychosomatic. Second is dealing with the symptoms of Lyme neuroborreliosis, these neurological symptoms often leave patients feeling drained and debilitated as they begin losing their quality of life. Over time, patients find themselves unable to do the things they love as they struggle to get ahead of their progressing symptoms.
Wow, I had no idea it could do that! I have that he had to go through all of that before they finally were able to figure it out and treat it!
It’s still so much fun to watch someone view this video for the first time. I don’t know if I’ll ever tire of it. Sharing REN’s with the world is important. He’s a talent of a generation, multi-faceted.

After 4 start to finish takes the landlord of the building discovered them and insisted they get out. Normally Ren does at least 20-30 start to finish takes.
He worried a ton since he was due to leave in 2 weeks for intensive medical treatments in Canada.
Yet they got what it took to satisfy Ren.
Ren writes his own music and lyrics, directs and produces his own videos with his cameramen friends.
This was done before Ren became so popular. So their budget was very tiny. Until Moneygame 3, he rarely spent more than £1,500 on any video.
The very 1st 1-take live video he did with Samuel Perry-Falvey, they did 180+ start to finish 1-takes before Ren and crew were satisfied. Learning as they created.
In live interviews with a variety of Reactors Ren has discussed this.

Great reaction to this absolute masterpiece! Ren is a phenomenal artist, probably one of the best I've encountered. He can sing, rap, play multiple instruments and his lyrics are relatable and incredibly well-written. Plus he's just an all-around amazing person. According to an interview Ren had with the Charismatic Voice, it was one vocal line but the rest was frankensteined together from the four takes they did. He was happy his internal metronome was working since they only 30 minutes to do the 4 takes. He thought he had missed the chance to video the song. He worked it and sent it to a friend who was dumbstruck by the video and let Ren know it was amazing. Ren is sort of a film first and ask forgiveness later artist. The landlord let them have the 30 minutes to film and then they had to be gone.
Oh wow, that’s awesome! Crazy to think all this came from 30 minutes, makes you respect it that much more 🤯
@@setonhillstudios Ren comes into these filming sessions knowing the material front, back, upside down and sideways from tons of practicing. He prefers to be able to do at least one okay take and then try to make a better one. Didn't have that luxury on this day.

Oh man... I don't know that I'd ever tell someone "this will blow your mind!!", I'd rather say something that doesn't give it away, but is encouraging. I mean, the end result with Ren is almost always blown away for a variety of reasons, the man is musically gifted, ridiculously unconventional, and really, really hard to categorize, aside from "talented artist with mad skills and insane mental acuity" or bardcore... or just a Ren-aissance.
Yea he definitely doesn’t seem like an artist that can be boxed in or described in one specific way! I had no clue what I was getting into though, but I left blown away that’s for sure! Thanks for hanging with us and checking out the video!

You should check out the Tales trilogy . It's about 13 minutes long but it's genius . Search for the Tale of Jenny and Screech ( the 13 minute version will include Violets Tale as well ).

The fact that you so desperately monitize Ren while having a meager follow is gross.
I can’t imagine liking an artist to the point of searching out reaction videos and then getting mad that someone is doing them, discovering and enjoying the music. Ren is such a small number out of the total videos on our channel and is highly requested, but sure we’re desperately monetizing him ✌🏼
