Absolutely!!
YESS go down a Ren rabbit hole haha!! Some suggestions: Chalk outlines, The tale of Jenny and Screech, How to be me, ect.
I can’t recommend Ren enough! Every song is a jewel. Chalk Outlines is so beautiful. Also recommend Tale of Jenny, Screech and
Violet. Also: Money Game I-iii. They’re all great. React to all of them, he’s so so so gifted.
Definitely more, I’ve subscribed in anticipation 😬. Videos I recommend are,
Chalk outlines.
Sick boi.
The tale of Jenny and screech - including violets tale.
The money game trilogy - make sure money game 2 is the lyric video.
Su*cide - it’s a tough watch tho’.
How to be me.
There are so many, for a lighter side of Ren I suggest
The Big Push - I shot the sheriff/road to Zion.
The hunger.
Murderer.
Back on 74’
Nas retake, halftime.
Also wanted to point out if you are unaware many of Ren’s videos are done live and in one take. It’s so impressive and you’ll see exactly how impressive when you do money game 3.
I first heard this song last March, I had been drinking every single day for the past 10 years, blacking out practically every night. My health was failing, throwing up blood every day for months at this point, and this song is the only reason I sought help. A few months later I went to rehab and I'm 9 months sober now. He is insanely talented, poetic, and able to communicate emotion and very real human struggles with impact. He restored my faith in myself, and my love of art and creating and writing. He restored my will and ambition.
🙏 Jeff ❤️
💕
Good on you Jeff, huge achievement, so glad you’re in a better place & space. Our boy has saved many a lost soul 🙏❤️
Keep on keeping on. One day at a time, my brother!
Music can heal ...Life would be worth living just to wake up and be able to enjoy music, it warms the heart and soul.
Dude, you just got the keys to the kingdom with this guy. Most dynamic talent of modern times. Everything he does is so unique and different. Enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole.
❤❤ are you following me?❤❤ jk

What the ???
@sateentuoksu lol that was to jasonremy lol. Every new reaction channel I always see a comment from him either when I get there or soon after. Lol 😆 I bet you were "Losing it"!
Beautiful, heartfelt reaction. Ren has well over 1 million subscribers. The vast majority were drawn to Ren by 'Hi Ren'. Yes, this topic has been done many times in the past by numerous artists. But none come close to the complexity, talent and effect of Ren's version.
I've seen this about 1,000 times and I still cry every damn time 😢 it explains the battle I experience every day
Imagine this has been reacted to over 1100 times and seen by 26 million plus people. I thought I had toughened up by now but when the reactor got teary eyed it was over for me. 😥 You are not alone.
Peace be with you now and always 🙏
your not alone
73 yo and I still battle. You would think I would learn. I love this young man and would protect him as the treasure he is. Thank you Ren.
🙏🏽❤️
He lost a friend early on to suicide. He has another song about that experience that I guarantee will tear you up - in a good way. It is called Suicide. He lays it all out, holds nothing back. It is a beautiful piece of work, compelling, cathartic, unforgettable.
Because of that loss, he has held on through a horrendous experience of misdiagnosis of his own illness as being psychological, which he addresses pretty well in Sick Boi. He's been through hell and back, and it shows in his depth, purpose, and beauty. He has been tempered by life.
He is an incredible talent.
I think he also addresses that in his song with The Big Push, called Precious. A really sweet video.
He also has a song called for Joe which is dedicated to one friend he lost to suicide and another one for his other friend, both are amazing
@@notsoawesome0422 , The Big Push's Precious is also wonderful.
That song destroys me every single time I listen to it. Holy shit it's amazing.
I loved the way you were able to predict the next step in the song because you related to it. Since I've been listening to Ren, I've seen more grown men cry (myself included) than I have in my entire life. There's just something so relatable in his lyrics.
Yes! I cry right along with them again & again
Every time
I'm impressed at how much you picked up on your first watch. Ren has been through a lot in his young life's, from having lost his best friend to an unaliving incident to spending around 10 years (basically all of his 20s) suffering excruciating pain, episodes of psychosis and extreme fatigue but being told it was all in his head only to be diagnosed in his 30s that he in fact had Lyme's Disease all along. He went through some extremely dark phases but his love for music pulled him through. A gifted, but self taught musician (via UA-cam by slowing down Jimmy Hendrix for example), Ren is a multi instrumentalist, he composes, produces and writes everything. Makes his own bears to most of his songs (some he samples) and creates his videos himself with the help of some very talented and dedicated friends. As an independent artist most his videos are done on a shoestring budget with most not exceeding £2000. The only exception being Mobey Game 3, a masterpiece which cost around £20,000. Originally starting out as a busker, Ren prides himself in playing live for many of his tracks as well as using 'one takes'. This video as you rightly noticed, was live, but it was also a one take (after only 4 tries). I think you will really appreciate this incredible artist and thoroughly recommend you continue to react to him. Us 'Ren-egades' as we've called ourselves 😅 only ask that as a reactor you please pause if you want to say anything and then rewind a few seconds before starting up again. This is bc unlike other artists, Ren's videos are very richly packed with details that can be easily missed. A prime example is The Tales of Jenny and Screech (and Violet); an incredible trilogy of tales which requires full attention in order to understand the ending. Here is a link to help you fund the right version:

I look forward to your next reaction 😊
Ren sent me! 😊 Have subscribed to support you and your reactions. L💜ved your reaction. It gives me a buzz to see how people react to this so thank you, I wasnt disappointed! The rabbit hole is deep so enjoy the ride, many RENagades will follow you on that journey, so buckle up, enjoy and be prepared to be blown away with the genre that is Ren! He makes you re-evaluate everything so you become the best version of yourself, and stand up in the face of adversity 😊 People have cried an ocean of tears over this song...welcome to the cult ❤ oops, sorry book club! 😉
* book club 😛
@@user-um5cp2cs5j😂 have reworded 😊🙏🏼
Book Club forever!
book club.. just serve up the 'T' and let it 'B' 😊
Like me!! lol yes 🙌
You are right about this training, he is self taught on guitar and vocals, mostly using UA-cam tutorials from people like Chris Liepe.
He also said in his interview with Chris Liepe that he did have some lessons more recently.
He is 34 this year. He taught himself mostly on CDs and videos. UA-cam in his young years was nothing like now.
Take us down the rabbit hole. Most of us “RENegades” have been down that hole many times and are ready to follow you down as well. New subscriber!
as a fellow "survivor" i teared up too and felt like he was talking too me.
i think many feel the same way, Ren has helped me and many others find "ourselves " given us hope when we were lost , who would of thought a 34y rapper/hip hop artist (that would be doing a great disservice he is a lot more than that )would break me with this and other tunes he has performed !. he has also made me laugh out loud with his lyrics sometimes both in the same tune. I consider myself as a renegade proudly .
Ren is truly in a league of his own. His lyricism is always mind blowing and his creativity is insane. He can do literally anything. His back story is absolutely worth looking up as he suffered for years with misdiagnosis for Lyme Disease. He gives a voice to people who suffer especially those with chronic illness and mental health issues. I hear so much of my story (with chronic illness) in his and its so refreshing to listen to someone who sees people like me because we're usually pretty invisible. I hope you do more Ren. Everything he does is absolute fire. You should check out Chalk Outlines (live) next. Then you can go down the Chinchilla rabbit hole too. 🤪
Children of the moon is all about feeling alone as is Crutch. Crutch is more the fear of being left alone.
Congratulations on 14+ years sober. I can never watch this video for the first time again but it brings me such joy watching new people discover the beauty and outstanding talent that is Ren. I suggest his 1 million subscribers video that will give you a great insight into who Ren is. He is unlike anyone about at the moment, more talent in his little finger than most artists topping that charts these days.
Ren once said the way to be really good at the guitar is just "pull loads of faces" 😅
Good catch!😂
23 yrs sober here. welcome to the rabbit hole bud. it first hit you in the same spot it hit me when I first heard "some people know me as hope. the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope". Jan 3 2023 I discovered Ren. first musical artist in more than 25 years that I've been excited about. as jasonremy mentioned, you just got the keys to the kingdom with Ren ❤
The noose line was so impacting and perfectly placed. Couldn’t keep anything back after hearing it. On my raw reaction, I take a fair amount of time to come back. Truly an amazing performer and artist.
That line is so very impactful for me. I know that voice, I've heard it before. I think many of us have in one form or another. What I love most about the community that has risen up around Ren, is there is an empathy there, empathy for our fellow human beings, which is sadly lacking in the world we live in. Ren brings that out, in the "RENagade" community. That also gives me hope, and makes me feel less alone.
The noose line is one of the most impressive things I've ever heard. I can't remember the last time I've been so excited about an artist in a way where i believe they have limitless talent, maybe Andre3000 when I was in 6th grade.
I am 37 years sober. Everyday I battle a demon. And at night sleep with angels. The eternal struggle is real. The lines on my face are the trails of that struggle. Some days I laugh. Some days I cry.
But I always try
To smile.
THAT's the line that caught me as well!
Being a survivor myself, your tears are beautiful & thankful. When trying to survive every day alive is a victory
It never gets old watching people react to this song. Imo, it’s one of the most brilliant performances on this platform, hands down.
how this song and video hasnt won the top awards I never no, he prob saving so many lives and Sik Boi is good, and like many of his songs they all carry a truth of life and messages we all need to hear.
ReN is Ren - may he dance continue to enrich us all.
I can always tell how much Ren will resonate with someone when he sings the line "loosen the noose on the rope." If you've been there, you know. I hope you will continue down the Ren rabbit hole. Most of us started with 'Hi Ren' and never looked back. Subbed and look forward to more!
Me too. Always look for that line.
money game pt 2, 3 and the tale of jenny and screech followed by violet's tale are all masterpieces.
Ren has kept me alive for a while now and inspired me to change my circumstances! ❤❤❤ to you.
You get it. Liked and subscribed. It's possible that Ren saved my life. He's certainly changed it. His pure musicality. His artistry. Most importantly his humanity. I've not experienced any musician like him in my 57 years.
I echo your beautiful words ❤
You broke practically at the same moment I did with this song; at the word 'hope'. This is such a strong piece of art. Enjoy your travels down the Ren-rabbithole.
As an addict in recovery I can relate to the internal struggle presented here. Ren is pure gold. Each song is so unique. Enjoy wherever you go next on the Ren journey.
I'm an amateur musician, and at times have felt like a pretend in my paying career over the years. I have depression, anxiety and PTSD and lost 2020 to them completely. I'm very fortunate in that I've never experienced suicidal ideation but I think the incredible nature of what Ren did here is he managed to take his personal experiences and make them speak to anyone who has had any kind of internal struggle. Be that self-doubt which I think many or most of us have at one time or other, through to those darker things that go on inside us.
This song speaks to me in so many ways it's uncanny. Whether a person likes how he puts things together musically and visually or not, he's a flat out lyrical genius to my mind. (Oh and I love the way he does things... he feels like a precious thing to me actually).
11:01 yup. And thats the Power that music can hold. Ren is amazing with speaking his mind. Im right there with you mate. Appreciate the video
Renegade here enjoy the ride buckle up for safety I’m coming along to enjoy your reaction I love ren have loved ren he literally saved my life I drove to my daughter twelve hours after hearing this song then slept and became sober with her after hearing hope from this song… I have been a renegade from that day.. never looked back..
Good to see the emotions break you up! That is genuine. Props to you, man, for coming out on the other side of your own struggle. 👍
“If you think of your neck…or just, your whole situation…as a bendy straw…”
This is the advice I come here for lol and I’m not even a singer hahaha.
If you dive deeper into Rennes catalog, you will see the absolutely incredible extension of his musical influences. From Jimi Hendrix to Bob Marley to Nina Simone, Nat King Cole, Eddie Vader, Sting, Led Zeppelin, the beastie boys, Eminem, Manu Chao, Nas, Bob Marley, etc etc. The list is literally endless
- teenager writes a little ditty
- inner critic shows up
- teen tries to crush the inner critic
- inner critic turns into an inner demon, and crushes the teen
- young man learns the secret to managing the inner critic and inner demon
- young man performs the little ditty he wrote as a teen. But now it is confident, complex, layered, a little bit dark, and gritty. Less innocent but somehow better.
- wise man shares his experience with others.
Audience relizes that that kid performing at the beginning of the video was actually a very mature man just pretending to be his younger self to tell a story and that in itself seems even more masterful.
One i also loved from him was chalk outlines. ❤
I love how one human to another, we can touch each others hearts.
Im glad im not the only one who enjoys watching peoples faces when they play i love when a drummer just goes into their own little world or someone playing guitar its like you can see them thinking about it its great. So glad the algorithm said here have another ren reaction ive been watching these for a year now and never gets old plus ive been finding channels like yours on the way thank you for posting and sharinf your thoughts
You’re about to go down a rabbit hole with Ren. As you go through his work, be kind to yourself. As a survivor myself, his work can be really impactful but it hits hard. There will be some obvious songs that will get you such as “Suicide” and “Jenny and Screech” but you will be forever changed for the better now that you’ve found Ren.
Enjoy the ride. I wish I could hear these for the first time again.
Much love ❤
Ren drops Easter Eggs through his songs in his discography. You will find those as you discover his music/talent. Your reaction was a powerful one. Thanks.
New Ren fan, this was the one that got me started. Took me a year to find the "she sells seashores on the seashore" Easter egg in this song.
I love your screen here. Much better than putting the video in a little box. Thank you fir your reaction
Welcome to the wonderful world of ren, where you can always expect the unexpected 😊 he is amazing, and I hope to see you dig more into his artistry! Beware, its a long way down into the rabbit hole, alice 🐇🕳🤣💜
Ren taught himself guitar by slowing down Jimi Hendrix . And as a white Welsh kid, Eminem was an influence.
It might not touch you as much - or maybe it will - because it's a different topic but dominoes for me.. really touched me a lot lyric wise. Very important song for all gender.
At first I thought you stopped the reaction before the last spoken bit! Oooooh, I thought you were gonna catch hell on here, 😂😂😂
I stopped by for Ren ❤ bit subbed for you 😊 thanks for the reaction
he is a very theatrical artist, you should watch the tale of jenny and screech or the money game trilogy
Omg I thought you were about to skip the last part!! Great reaction, this song hit me like a freight train too. I hope you do more Ren reactions!
Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole. Please enjoy your stay..
Fact: It's all done in one take.
I always feel like I’m listening to this song for the first time all over again, when I watch reactions.
The number of grown men this song has brought to unabashed tears 😂…you are in good company, sir.
This is a once in a lifetime performance of a once in a lifetime song, by a once in a lifetime artist.
True greatness. ❤
Ren is such a amazing artist and human being. I’m a huge fan of his and his music is so relatable on so many ways. Glad you found Ren too. Can’t wait to see more reaction videos for his music!
That fucking rope line gets me every fucking time. I was an opiate addict for 20 something years and somehow managed to live thru it. But that line, it hits. I’ve heard that voice and I’m so grateful for it every day of my life.
Great reaction! Lost count long ago of the times Ren is so transported while playing the guitar that he totally loses control over his facial muscles. You think THAT was funny guitar face? Just wait!!
(You were right about the unaliving aspect. The song was planned to end with the sound of a gunshot just after the 'devil' Ren crescendo, but when he showed it to a close friend, they said, "Ren, all your songs are so depressing. Couldn't this one end a little happier, after which Ren went to the beach and in one go wrote 'hope' Ren's response and the spoken outro. Good catch - and just for the record, LOTS of Ren's songs are happy/silly/funny as well. Ren does EVERYTHING.)
This hit hard for Me. I had Parkinson's dg at the age of 36 in 2017. Ren's music gives Me motivation and power in My fight against this disease. Power of music is amazing. 🤘
Your going to love Ren. I don't care what genre you prefer, he does it all. I found him 18 months ago, haven't stopped listening since. He has this ability to relay emotion through his music, and he has a large catalog of music for you to dive into.
Can I ask you a question about this song
Thanks for that. It still hits each time you hear it. This was made as he battled to recover and heal.
As a survivor, you should check out 'Crutch', made years ago when he was at a really low ebb, it will resonate.
After that just work down his list, he never disappoints, but often surprises with the range of genres he performs.
He's incredibly diverse. I feel like you'd really enjoy the song Freckled Angels about written about his late friend Joe Hughes shortly after his death. (He's written several for Joe, this was the first.)
Ren is an inspiration. His message to the world is SO powerful, and best seen in his 1 million YT follower speech! He's so genuine, and a refreshing soul in today's society.
I understand the emotion you felt at 10min 50. surviving addiction, you had to have stood in the fires, and you survived it.
Welcome to the rabbit hole of Ren
Fantastic and very genuine reaction. As I understand it, Ren has with Lyme Disease which went undiagnosed for years. He struggled mightily for all that time as nobody could figure out what was wrong with him. You should look up his story, it's as remarkable as his music. This guy is the real deal. Cheers!
Welcome to the world of Ren. Enjoy this ride.
Hope is why Ren resonates with so many people. He’s a flame.
Great reaction.....I must have heard this song a hundred times and it still makes me cry. Welcome to the Ren train ❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
Ren is an amazing artist. Self-taught on vocals, guitar, piano and several other instruments. He is a musical genius. As a survivor and former alcoholic, this song wrecked me (in a good way) when I first heard it. Looking forward to more Ren reactions 💜💜
omg yes!! so excited!!
He has an amazing track titled Su!cIde. He'd had the first half written for years but only just recently had the inspiration to write the second half and get it produced.
The first half is written from the perspective of someone on the brink. The second half is written from his perspective as being on the other side, having lost someone who slipped over. It's an incredibly powerful video.
First time here because of Ren. Amazing reaction. New sub. Renegades will flock here with the support of this wonderful man being and unmatched artist. You have a journey ahead. I will be here for it. Try sick boi or the tale of Jenny and skreetch next.
Where did ren promote this aha? I can't find it, I was just wondering as I was so happy he has sent people here, as this reactor is sooo good!!
In America, it's a 12 step program. 1 step is to admit you have a problem. 2nd step is I need a higher power other than myself. But the 10 step is the program you need to follow.
So step 1&2 is admittance of the problem.
He was bitten by a tick which was not diagnosed for 10 years. The symptoms of tick bites are all consuming as his words tell. His song "Sick Boi" will open your eyes.
Very thoughtful and heartfelt reaction, thank you. I hope you continue your Ren journey; many of us will be happy to accompany you. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing the *beginning* of your journey with us!
Welcome to the book club😁
Your reaction moved me. With these reaction videos, you can see the recognition in those who have lived this. Be strong brother. Fellow survivor...fellow student
🙏
Such a hard core reaction! This is the song that introduced me to Ren. A bawled my eyes out. He kicked me in the gut. After listening to much of his other stuff, I'm convinced that's he's a genius. His depth of knowledge of all things, which is used in his music is unending. The struggles he's survived and is still living would ruin so many people. He's a giant in my opinion! I subscribed for more. When you mentioned "acceptance" I instantly thought of page 449... I relate to him and you as well.
I was interested in what you said about him looking down to reach the high note because in one of his other songs he does with a female artist they sing in harmony but for the highest note she looks up and he puts his head down. It's always puzzled me.
Ren is very precious. Thank you for sharing his music ❤
Every time I am watching reactions like yours I tear up again, and it’s been well over a year now that I discovered Ren. I just came out of Rehab two weeks ago after years of addiction, and I know that Ren and his music have played a big part in my recovery. I have been sober now for 6 months, and I still have a long way to go, but this helps me keep going. Thank you for your beautiful reaction!
🙏
"Let me break the fourth wall by acknowledging this song"
"The fourth wall is a performance convention in which an invisible, imaginary wall separates actors from the audience. While the audience can see through this "wall", the convention assumes the actors act as if they cannot."
WELCOME TO THE REN-AISSANCE!
Check out some of his other tracks, like "Chalk Outlines" or "How to be me" both the LIVE versions by Ren x Chinchilla.😊
Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole!!
Welcome to the RENaissance!🎉
There is one major criteria by which I judge a reactor, and you absolutely GOT IT. Great reactors will be visibly touched and will sometimes have to pause at “Some people know me as the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope.” That line is a game-changer. Ren is a game-changer. Hope you react to more of him. ❤
Big love. I'm in a non verbal stage due to burnout (recovering well though struggling with language). Want to say something about counter-counter movements, signifiers/language/ fashion/ values being subsumed by status quo and used to either misrepresent or infiltrate and derail movements. Hip Hop is a good way to track what's really going on at foundation's of society, what is damaging, how a huge amount of people in general are feeling. Fears, hatreds, dangers, friends rivalries, systems, signifiers. It's an evolving front to stay ahead of any push back against a movement.
I had not even realised I had hip hop artists in my top 10 all time favourites. All independent ones and it's surreal how I accepted a narrative without even realising. I guess keeping a population divided is easier than politics. If you can convince an alternative music lover that she doesn't like hip hop or rap, and she has been into The Streets since his 90s cassette circulation, then we need Hip Hop to reconnect and actually drive change. Ren seamlessly invites us to explore division through genre, and breaking the rules, and welcoming us to explore, leading us in one by one. I've used his music for local movement to protect forest, national movement on other side of Australia to prevent developments on remnant forest unless already cleared suburban land is developed. I've joined international collectives, I've opened up to learning new things and examine my beliefs and challenge expectations.
It's made my world both bigger, and more connected, but still IRL drive rather than nebulous internet signifying.
That makes him mind blowing to me. He built what he needed because he hoped we might need it. And he listens and engages. And he works to lift all up who need it. The pen is mightier than the sword, and the bard has more power than any king.
Great reaction! This song literally saved my life. Ren is a once in a lifetime artist. Keep going down his rabbit hole, and you won't be disappointed. Kudos on your recovery as well.
When I look at this live performance, I see it as the intro and start of creativity up thru the yodel. It is then interrupted by doubt, and the proverbial curtains part, and we witness the internal conversation between the 2 sides. it culminates in doubt declaring it's existence is in everyone and is everywhere and an individual is helpless to prevent that. Then hope steps up and helps return Ren to be distant and still, and states his ever persistence and presence as well. "We are coin of two different sides." The creativity is then allowed to continue (back to the yodels). This time, however, both sides are present, as indicated by the set lights flashing (they were not in the first yodel). The poem at the end is part of the performance in every version I've heard of it.
What I get most from that poem is the first line: "When I was 17 years old, I shouted out into an empty room, into a blank canvas, that I would defeat the forces of evil." I feel this shows how we do not start with the life experiences to understand the implications of creating balance within ourselves. We have naive expectations of black and white, good and bad, positive and negative. Meanwhile, we miss the importance of recognizing grayness. "We must not forget, that we are human beings."
My final thoughts are that navigating through life is a balancing act of that coin of 2 different sides. The expectation of either extreme (such as total salvation or absolute corruption) are deceptive, in that there will be internal struggles in everyone's lives at some point in time. Growth, development, and teachings are tools to give the individual to create that balance, allowing movement forward, rather than any other direction.
Nice reaction. People will recommend Jenny & Screech, Money Game etc but for really deep and emotionally impactful lyrics I would recommend Ren - Dominoes (the official Lyric video)
10:37 In a way it's so encouraging that so many of us apparently have this in common: It's interesting that this part always seems to hit especially hard for those who know what it's like to gaze over the abyss and touch the point of no return.
Yes ... in some songs Ren tributes other musicians by a lyrical / musical or rhythmic rap scheme that suggests them ...
But he also references his OWN previous songs lyrically ( an ' Easter egg ' ) ~ This is often , which is kinda unusual .
Survivor too and I remember hearing this song and instantly connecting especially to those lines. Also the live of him with 3 microphones blew me away.
I'm 20 years sober, 30 year suicide survivor, dealing with chronic illnesses and each time I hear Ren sing Hi Ren, Suicide, Sick Boi, I feel he is telling my story as well as his as well as ours. Amazing brilliant talent who sings, writes, and talks about the topics that many shy away from.
As someone who struggles a lot with mental health, this song hits me hard and I cry every time I hear it.
I always interpreted that ending sequence, after he tries to suppress the cynical, negative side of him completely that it just bursts out of him, the pressure coming to a head. After it gets its say and takes over briefly, it leaves room enough for that lighter, more fragile but positive side of him to come through and say its own piece, allowing him to start healing and learning to accept both sides, which seems to come through in the end when he's singing prettily, but sounding frayed and with the lights flickering behind him like they did when that negative side was talking. He learns to, as he says, dance, and it gets easier to move forward, to accept that it's not always going to be nice times, happy times, peaceful. You're gonna have bad days that come with the good, and it's not your fault, it's just how things go sometimes and it's natural.
Anyway, loved your reaction
Everything he does is amazing.
Yes, Ren wears his myriad inspirations on his sleeve, as it were. As you dive deeper into his stuff you will hear little tips of the hat running through every aspect of his work 🥰 More Ren! I promise you won't regret it for a second! 🥰
I've been listening to Ren for over a year now. I am a Veteran and have lost many friends to suicide 😥. The song speaks to me so deeply and I ask all me pals to listen to this and remember there is the abilty for life to be better, and to also remember they are never alone. There's so many other videos you need to watch by Ren, but watch the live version of Chalk outlines with Chinchilla.
Welcome to the club of being entirely and fully blown away by this man, my guy.
I'm sure others below have elucidated the background of Ren's health issues he's still receiving treatments for in Canada. Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole. Much of his music is birthed from his struggles, but he doesn't have a genre. As an independent artist he does what he wants.
His music is like a box of chocolates. Never know what you're going to get ...until you press play.
New sub- here for the journey if you choose to take it.
There are many reactions to this video. What makes yours so powerful is that you were more than just reactor, you were anticipator and participator. Thank you for sharing your experiences, insights, and emotions this way.
Wow, thank you
I have a feeling that those of us who survive and come out the other side with hope and a brighter side essentially were successful, we unalived that portion of us that was making us feel that way.
Subbing for more Ren! You don’t know what magic you have stumbled on! 🖤
🔥🔥🔥
.Welcome to the Renaissance! Ren is my favourite artist of all time. I say artist because he is a multifaceted diamond! From singing (all styles) to rapping (bars/flows/schemes for days), Bardcore (story telling) beatbox, makes his own beats, scatting and a multi instrumentalist (guitars, bass, drums, melodica and more). On top of that he is the most beautiful human being inside and out who has been through and continues to go through absolute hell.
Ren is 33 from Anglesey, Wales originally but spent most his adult life in Brighton, England. He has been very ill for years, at one point being completely bed ridden. He was misdiagnosed for years, being told he was bipolar, had M.E and more and was prescribed medications that made him worse and ended up in psychosis. It turns out Ren had Lyme disease which has caused havoc on his body. He’s been living in Calgary, Canada all year receiving intense medical treatment for his brain damage and mast cell activation disorder amongst other things that were caused by the Lyme disease.
He started off making beats at 12 and selling CDs then moved on to busking. He was part of a band called Trick The Fox and was signed to Sony but they didn’t renew the contract after his health deteriorated. He then started The Big Push. They went on hiatus the end of last year after 5 years partly due to his move to Canada and also because the other members are also soloists and were moving around too.
I have a list of songs to check out of all styles. Obviously this is no where near everything but gives you places to start. 🖤

Welcome to Rens's rabbit hole. Check out Money game 3, Suicide, Diasepam... but you can't go wrong with this guy. Most of the songs are simply amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!
7:22 I feel that it's a reference to the fact that nobody can do something that hasn't been done before, no story that hasn't been told, if you look at the human race and the lessons, the cycles... BUT no one , can be compared to another, and their lives, their vision and their voice is what makes every story an original.
Welcome to Ren,enjoy the ride,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Also Danny, on a more serious note…I’m (very) newly sober (about 2 months clean) for the first time in probably 14 years (I just turned 32), so thank you for this.
Seeing you speak so honestly on things regarding mental health is very helpful…because I subscribe to the belief that addiction/substance abuse is more of a symptom of the core problem rather than the actual problem itself. So, idk. You being so open is helpful for me. Thanks again.
Also shoutout to David, because…duh. I love that dude.
Congratulations on your sobriety!🎉 You are surrounded by a lot of support with this group!
Truly congrats 🎈🎊🍾🎉 🥳 🙌
Welcome to the RENegade family! The more you get to know Ren, the better this journey gets.
