Man I would have soldered some fuse wire... Find what the fan bower circuit fuse is. Measure the resistance of that board;... calculate a fuse value from ohms law...
So, you replaced a FUSE with a solid piece of wire. That's like taking out blown car fuses and replacing them with pennies(which we used to do in a pinch) ...lol. I hope it holds and doesn't permit an overheating condition leading to circuit board failure. I'm going to take a look at my "broken" resistor pack and perhaps fix it like you did yours, but perhaps with a thinner wire that would open if current got too high. Helpful video. Thanks! I see Amazon has thermal fuses (10A). I could try those but if using only one still allows it to fail, perhaps I could put 2 or more in parallel to increase the amperage capacity.....but might be getting dangerous. I'll try to let you know how it turns out. This will be an experiment.
any updates on how it went? I'm trying to fix mine and have no idea what to do. A new resistor is 16 euros so it's not that bad, but if I could repair the original it would be best
Setting 4 doesn't use the resistor module. Setting 4 is a wire from power to the fan. So if that's not working, the problem isn't in your resistor. Perhaps your fan is simply dead?
This will prove very useful. Fan speeds 1, 2 and 3 died the other day on my RC10.
I wish I knew how to troubleshoot this kind of issue!
Great video, thank you for sharing it.
This is great informative video. Thank you!

He just put a wire there... The rest of the rezistor is the same thikness... So... In the worst case IT will burn again a Little portion. It's safe!
sweet I'm having the exact same problem and have the same year colorado lol
I replaced my fan and resistor and it's still not working, any ideas why?
Good
What happened with the Torque Force Motor?
Hey mate seen you comment on some other video about solar panels. I'm looking to buy a basic setup for my van. What panel do you recommend??
Why pull the glovebox out no need to
Torque force motor instructions please brad
2 doesn't work.on mine maybe it's cause 2 is the most used one ? How should I trace which 2 resistors are used. It's s Nissan car
👍🙏👍
Can i just run a wire from power to my fans power. I dont care if its full blast all the time. I just want it to defog my windows
