Take mine for an example: I grew up homeschooled without much music in my life and I remember being jealous of all my peers for their knowledge of music, past and present, and feeling sad that I’ll never experience that connection with music. Not only have you opened up different pockets of the world to me, you’ve put into words and memes what makes great music great and bad music bad. woah Anthony i agree completely with u on the inauthenticity of some 'depressive' music. It's not about whether the artist is really really depressed or not, but whether he could convey those feelings in a way that doesn't feel forced and false, meaning, people that are good at writing and composing music can make good 'depressive' music even if they're not particulary blue.
