Wow thanks for the video! I just spent the last hour shopping for 100 dollar brake pedals, and then spent 7 minutes watching your video AND fixing my brake! Thanks for your help and explanation.

Thank you. I need to do this and didn't know you could lift the rubber boot.

...thank you. I have a Kawasaki Versys 650cc a cousin to the Ninja and as is the brake pedal is far too low for me. I want to raise the pedal about a centimeter like you did here...thank you...

my 2018 Ninja 400 Break pedal is bent and i bought a replacement part to change it out. How would i go about that? Would i need to remove those bolts in that same area you are working in?

When i adjust mine on my r6, the brake isn't as efficient when i put it lower!
but when i put it up abit it's real sharp again, putting the same amount of pressure on it aswell with my foot, any ideas?

Leave it up, it will always be sharper higher up. It`s like you can`t give decent punch with an arm nearly straight, because the fist is too close to the end of its travel. Likewise, you can stomp on the pedal with more force when the pedal is higher, because the ankle is not at its end of travel. Makes sense?

theoverengineer when I tried this on my R6 the brake light was constantly on...and the rear brakes were engaged slightly but constantly which is why the light was on...

      3 things make this work:
1 The brake light switch plunger adjusts totally independently of the pedal travel, see ua-cam.com/video/JfHmZdzSSqI/v-deo.html
2 The rear brake piston`s sidewall along the caliper seal must be clean ua-cam.com/video/x7eyiGeLbuY/v-deo.html so the vacuum can pull the brake pads away from the rotor when pedal force is not applied.
3 The rubber bellows inside the brake fluid reservoir must not be stretched out, is should be neatly folded so vacuum can be created at the res. ua-cam.com/video/nODrR-66Kyk/v-deo.html

You should have the front of your foot on the pad instead of back of your foot.
