Episode 51: The term code-switching gets tossed around often, especially among folks working in spaces where few people share their identities. In this episode of "DEI in 5," I'm joined by DEI consultant and middle manager expert, Caren Young (‪@theprofessionaladult‬ ) and DEI strategist & leadership coach, Clarissa "Clo" Fuselier (founder of Inclusion.Logic), as we explore the complex nature of code-switching.
We'll be addressing key questions such as:
    What is code-switching really?
Did you know it can be both conscious and unconscious?
How does code-switching involve more than just changing how you speak, but also adjusting your mannerisms, appearance, and behavior to be more accepted?
What are some of the pros and cons of code-switching, or better yet, not code-switching?
How can we be more self-aware of the moments when we code-switch?
What can others do to support us?
