I will be surprised if Pantheon ever sees the light of day. How it hasn't been cancelled yet is beyond me.
Tbh i would put Ashes of Creation to the S tier
The reason is that they are straight to people with monetization (no P2W at all, no NFT and no bullshit like skins with stats etc. just abonament )
They constantly show progress of the project to community. Instead of just promising they show what are they doing, this is to most open project to community i saw - month by month showing what they improve and implement.
If this game will deliver what they promise its a f*cking S+ tier
Its 2nd time since Lost Ark when i bought preorder but now im at least sure they wont fuck up game like Lost Ark did with monetization.

I think based on the very interesting, well-established lore of Runeterra, Riot’s wealth of resources, and their competency at, despite what people might say, creating excellent games creates for them the opportunity to make an amazing MMO.
They have experience with competitive games and casual games. This puts them in a unique position of creating an MMO to appeal to casual and mid-core players with open world and dungeon content, while also satisfying hardcore players with raids and PvP. Arguably, all of their games have some of the best monetization for such a large company. All of their games are free to play, with no P2W systems. Sure, the skins might be overpriced, but in LoL at least you can earn a lot of cool skills by just playing the game.
The community management will need some moderation, but I think the MMO will bring newer people into the community because of Arcane. We will see, but I am very excited truthfully. Just wish it wasn’t so far off, but I’d prefer they take their time and release an amazing game with longevity than a mess that will be abandoned in 1 month.
I can't fathom how people followed League for years and somehow call Riot "competent developers"
I have a good feeling about Throne & Liberty, but I'm not unhappy with any of the current games out there.
If a new MMO exists that I can add to the roster of games that I play and cover, then that'd be great. If not, then nothing will be lost.

Wasn't clear to me about Gamigo and Fractured but they said they weren't bought out and you replied referring to a partnership. A partnership is obviously not a "buy-out" but I'm not sure that's what you were referring to?
Partnership, bought out, either way its getting into bed with Gamigo... not a good look.

I actually played the beta of Throne and Liberty and I actually enjoy it, I like the explorations systems and the combat is fun, it reminds me of the old mmo style, I want to start playing it at full release in september

Good list. I enjoyed the video... personally, I think the LOTR MMO will be bad, because a. Amazon, and b. Amazon. Also, Corepunk has to be at least as far along as some of these, so it might have made the list. After Ashes of Creation (ie the True Savior of MMORPGS and everyone knows it), it would be my next most anticipated.

surprised people liked conan exiles, seemed very incomplete (perhaps it was?). my experience with it seemed like the game was already played through and over by the time i created a character. came across old bases people had clearly built, but couldn't find any players besides the 1 dude that destroyed me.
Think there going to announce a new runescape game this year But all i know is it been in development for a few years but has no name yet

Really surprised seeing u rank the Riot MMO so low. Sure, Ghostcrawler left the company to start his own called Fantastic Pixel Castle where they hope to create an Ark-like MMO that sounds real hype, but Riot have genuinely not made a single bad game yet. They're notorious for taking other existing ideas and making them a ton better and way more popular. LoL is the biggest MOBA by a large margin, Valorant is easily the 2nd biggest shooter game and is still growing while CS loses players, Runeterra has its own niche playerbase, Wild Rift is easily the best mobile MOBA, their single player games are incredibly rich with lore, TFT their Autochess knock-off is the best of its genre, their cinematics absolutely kick ass and just keep getting better, and they go on record of being the sole makers of an incredibly successful animated series adaptation of a game - ever.
Im not one to bandwagon or hype things like these up, but Riot have a really good track record, and to put it so low on the tierlist feels like bait to me. So here's my comment engagement!

At least Amazon's LotR will have mounts because the game it will be skinned over, New World, just got them. So there's that.

I want to know how eso is over monetized yea they have a cash shop but nothing on there is a have to buy and all the content is given when you subscribe and buy expansions which is what other games do

All the nice houses are behind a pay wall
Any nice skins or mounts you have to gamble for
Craft bag so bad you need eso plus to be able to collect stuff
Predatory stuff in the crown store aimed at new players which is free in game
Will drop mythics that are pay walled then nerf them when content becomes free with eso plus
Any nice skins or mounts are simply not earnable and the ones that are , have paid for variants in the crown store.
Endeavours were just added to comply with government policy on gambling and are heavily time gated
Any race any alliance isn’t cross server or account wide , which is the same with bankers , housing , paid for cosmetics , and merchant
Might of missed some stuff but I think that’s a high level overview
@sawmanUK mounts and skins are cosmetic they have no use other than if you want them yes they could be earned in game but all games even wow does this the crafting bag is fine eso has so much crafting items no matter what bags you had would be full and it's not predatory if you can get it in game if you buy it instead of earning its your fault for not researching it.
If you don't nerf things people will never have anything to work for then they will complain new stuff is useless. And every game does an expansion eso just releases content faster if wow or other companies did it you would have the same complaint but people complain right now content doesn't release fast enough.
I don't even play eso right now and I hate microtransactions and the way companies feel they need to nickle and dime everything but all the companies do it in some way but everything they sale in the store you don't have to buy.
Also with expansions the top 2 mmos out force you to buy their expansions to get more content and better gear. And as for the number 1 wow it's come down to buy gold or the token in order to get gear
I’ve got about 10 videos on their shady monetisation, so my mind isn’t changing anytime soon. The argument that other people do it so it’s not that bad is the issue with the mmo space. It shouldn’t be so widely accepted.
The fact is though , eso literally has gambling crates with the worst odds in the world and is seriously predatory. People are quick to call out EA but zos is worse. They make it so you are funnelled to the crates and even then , charge you stupid amounts.
Might as well be a mobile game
@sawmanUK I agree with you that gotcha stuff should be illegal even more so when people under 18 play them if you can't go into a casino you should be allowed to buy these things.
I also believe no mmo should have any monetization that isn't cosmetic and you should be guaranteed what you buy but a lot of the monetization things have come in because people even when they complain will still buy them. It's as if people don't understand if you refuse to give them the money for it they will change it.
@@Vaayne1 I don’t mind the odd cosmetic behind a store , i think guild wars 2 has a better cash shop then most because you can trade in game money for cash shop gems … so not the worst … however games like throne a liberty have it so the in game auction house takes the store currency which can be purchased for irl money.
I get that companies need to make money, but it feels like more and more and using shady practices. It’s the one main reason I think ashes will do well

I loved Archage, it was my favorite MMO since Ultima Online (Pre-Tram) but the way they handled "unchained" was a fucking disaster and moving away from PvP will just ensure its failure. AA2 will be a credit card game no doubt.

@sawmanUK good video, I will say Riot actually seem kind of competent on the dev side of things after playing valo for a bit, their skin monetization is pretty shit though. On the brightside all of their game are usually free to play. Might try it if it looks intresting

+1 like for Dune on S tier. Conan exiles is one of the best games i've ever played, and Dune is the only hope for a decent mmorpg-ish release so far; the rest is probably going to be mid and a league of legends MMORPG will be beyond retarded, their worldbuilding is dogshit

For me,
1- The one I am waiting for and have the most hope for, despite the gambling cash shop and the lack of content for now: Blue Protocol
2- The one I will try, but with little hopes only because the 1st was great till the game got sold to some greedy company: ArcheAge 2
3- Another I will try but lack of info for now: Chronos Odyssey
4- 2 MMOs I am curious about: Riot MMO and Amazon LOTR
Other than that, it’s all dead for me… Maybe I’ll give T&L few hours just to see.

Ehhh doesn’t really appeal to me , same as warframe. I just remember it being a 4 player instance dungeon game with lots of grinding, I don’t know if soulframe will be better

Revisiting this for the pax dei EA release. As expected it's TRASH. It has the depth of a dry puddle for something that was infused with 30 million euros LMAO. Sucks cause a fantasy Rust game would def work.

Based off the fact that new world was and still is D tier from jank combat, idiotic pvp design and performance to jank code blowing up peoples gpus while blaming it on the consumer I'd say that the lotr mmo will be worse especially given that F tier show they put out that had little to do with lotr nor accuracy given the characters just a platform to spout "THE MESSAGE".
ArcheAge 2 is the only game with the potential to be a triple A title, and you placed it C.

Amazon's LOTR MMO probably got cancelled n restarted bcuz of how they destroyed their Rings of Power tv series with woketardism. They really do need to learn from their failure with Rings of Power n rethink their MMO if they want it to be a success.

It's like a generic classic 2000s MMORPG, but they slap on parry and modern graphics
