Hey! May I know the key difference between the Clarity Vx and the Clarity Vx DeReverb? Is one doing more processing than the other, or are they doing separate things that I should get both?
Hi @zoosksh. The are doing separate things. Both Clarity VX plugins make use of a neural network that identifies in real-time what noise to remove. This has everything to do with atmospheres ("background noise"). Essentially, the denoising is a classification class deep-learning algorithm that has been taught what to listen for (voice) and isolate the spectral sound associated with it. (Read more here: www.ibm.com/topics/neural-networks) They both use quite a bit of processing. I would say the Clarity VX uses less processing power than DeReverb. De-Reverberation takes the room reflections away, which in physics is technically more difficult. However, the chaps who created this would know more that this. May I suggest using GOYO instead ( goyo.app/ ) as it is in BETA form (Free) and in my opinion is a little more superior in terms of "cleaning" and leaving less artifacts. Hope this helps.
@@IAMKRITAGYA Usually for a vocal, depends on your room, you'll most likely use DeVerb. This is because, the VX technically removes noise (people in the background, wind in the distance, etc.). The DeVerb will lessen the ambient sound of the room (i.e. room reflections and echo's). But be careful, too much will result in the vocal sounding a little unnatural.
