- Episode 67 of Bengals On The Brain with Joe Goodberry, presented by First Star Logistics, focuses on new Cincinnati Bengals safety Geno Stone and includes a film review of his best game this past season, which came in Week Two against the Bengals.
The former Baltimore Ravens safety, a fifth-year player out of Iowa, was originally drafted by the Ravens in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, has played in 51 games with 19 career starts, and has recorded 118 tackles with eight interceptions. 2023 was his best season with seven interceptions (he led the AFC) and posted 66 tackles, a career-high.
Stone signed a two-year contract for $14,000,000, including a $3,000,000 signing bonus and $6,000,000 guaranteed.
We also quickly examine other free-agent moves and the trading of running back Joe Mixon to the Houston Texans. - Спорт
We gotta get stronger in the trenches, on both sides. We play in the AFC north and that makes it even more important
Yep smh. Hopefully they draft oline heavy
🍿 Excited to see this secondary.
Stone was they're 1st signing, Rankins is they're most expensive signing but DT's seem to cost more. BJ Hill was really good in a rotation so I'm hoping Tart gets done. So I can continue being excited.
Happy Saturday,
It stinks to lose one of the anchors in Reader. This always happens in the ever revolving NFL door of players. We can only hope that the new players and adjusted defensive scheme is enough to keep the other teams offense in check.....The defense has kept the Bengals in games many times during the last few years....maybe the defense holds their ground or a slight step back....and maybe the offense takes a BIG step forward to avoid those consecutive 3 and outs at crucial parts of the game...Hmm! Dont know. I do know, I will be CHEERING for a WHO DEY victory every week.
CHEERS to ALL
Goodberry! Man you need to work for a team breaking down film! I understand so much better when you do it. Great session with Zim. 🏈
All of Battle, Dax, Stone and Bell HIT
We should be a bottom 5 team in missed tackles this year.
I think that "Star" position (hybvrid linebacker safety slot corner)is perfect for Dax ..Vonn is only there for insurance
I really wouldn't be surprised if Bell starts.. even if he only plays 60% of snaps they may value the communication & vet presence
@@pRODIGAL_sKEPTICYup not for insurance ,Mentor the Kids and play as well!!
Ben sinnott is a good tight end fits us really good I hope Bengals donht sign becton gets Brown or smith look at Dalton risner guard if available
This deal for stone reminds me of the Reggie Nelson deal hopefully it workout the same
This was damn near a Burrow highlight video
Dude was accurate as hell and Tee an Boyd shouldve had TDs
2 more episodes.. 🤓
Seen Ben Sinnott fall to the 4th in most simulators. Would be a steal at TE imo. Probably second best TE on the board
Usually love your points but I don't agree with your take on Jesse Bates' departure. The only criticism I have is why they never gave Tycen Anderson a shot. Especially when you keep running Scott out there and getting burned! Did it work out the way they planned? Nope. But that's life in the NFL when you have so many huge contracts to negotiate. Including the biggest in NFL history. I thought they had a decent plan outside of Nick Scott. It just didn't work out. They still could have been the ones to topple the Chiefs if Burrow hadn't been hurt. Now they are reloading at safety CHEAPER than had they kept Bates and now Bell is back as well.
Tycen gets hurt either before season starts or at the beginning he's gotta stay healthy bc he is a beast
might not be great but better than what we had
Burrow was playing but still hurt imo and then reaggravated his injury
Could Dax play a Kyle Hamilton type roll?
Yes he did in college. It was his best position.
Dax Hill is a bust. Sooner we accept that and move on, the easier it gets.
Speak for yourself. Dax is fine & had rookie mistakes. Alot of yall dont know football & it shows @HermsWorldWide
Burrow sucked so bad ..to begin the year..ranked dead last in the NFL .. the first month
Well he was playing injured which shouldn’t have happened.
He had practically zero mobility due to injury, and the moment he got healthy he went back to being one of the best to do it.
Yea.....bc he was hurt....He didn't throw deep..... bc he wasn't confident he was able to do it...also statue in the pocket....but sure be a....d..i..k
this was a terrible take by a want to be. I almost fell asleep. this is the best team the Bengals have put on the field, ever heard about depth? They haven't even drafted.
