This is such a youthful, lively, fun, dynamic and vibrant portrayal of the narrator, who is typically more matured and matronly..... Certainly an interesting change!
There are two narrators this is Alexandra Burke from XFactor in this performance but there is also Linzi Hateley who has performed for over 30 years but still just as great :)
@@paulinekelly8016 not to mention she also played the Narrator in the 90s West End revival of _Joseph,_ alongside the title character played by Jason Donovan!
Seen this and can't understand why cast kept swapping between personal body mics to hand held radio mics ... Possibly lots of pre recorded vocals maybe ?
Additionally with a hand held you can get a clearer sound and are able to increase the volume for that particular channel more compared to a standard body worn mic as they pick up more surrounding sounds and so pushing it more can cause distortion or feedback, where as with a handheld those in particular pick the sound from the front centre and so for the louder scenes or parts you can make those particular vocals stand out more and have slight more control over them. It would have been a design input from the sound designer who made an informed decision into why they will be necessary
@@thekentsisters4986 no it was a saying that some shows do record a background incase tha artist is ill or loose they voice. Congratulations on a great production you show be very please Jason Donovan is very nice I have meet he many time in different shows
I just can’t stand that Jac gets the 3rd bow! Like why did they do that. Jac & the narrator should swap places. It literally called Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
I think its because the narrator has the most lines, she literally sings in almost every song. I think Jac should have the 2nd bow instead of Jason Donavan though
@@paulinekelly8016 I get why they done it. I just don’t agree with it! Other than this and a few other things tho I love this show! But I would love to see the original palladium production return at some point as well! Definitely wish I saw lee mead in 2007

Alexandra was AMAZING in Manchester. 💙
Saw this last weekend with Linzi Hateley as narrator, it was awesome! A really well deserved standing ovation!
Went to see this Saturday absolutely fantastic such talented people 👏👌beyond words
Alexandra Burke was so good!
We went to see this in London last night absolutely amazing xx
Linzi was the original narrator with Jason Donovan.jason returned to the west end production of Joseph now as the Pharoah.
live theaters is a lot of fun me and a friend of mind from best buddies went to a theater show back in 2017 and it was alot of fun.
It looks brilliant
I saw this a few weeks ago for the first time with my nan (I'm 13 I never saw the show before till then) it was LOVELY
A revival of ALW production of Joseph and the amazing technicolor Dreamcoat.
If anyone is wondering why nothing really had the full movie, its because the guests could only record the megamix at the very end.
thats me in the pink denim! so funnn
Would love to see this!
I was there when u filmed this I think
so was I, was fabulous
Can someone please do some music from the 9 to 5 the musical 2021 tour with Louise Redknapp? Thanks!
Why did pharaoh and the narrator get top billing? It’s called Joseph! That’s BS!!!
Cool!
...Joseph didn't get the final bow? 😳

like any show its a backing track recorded as u cant dance and sing at the same time so some the dancing and kids don't sing live on

@@iancutter9928 i was part of the cast we sung it all live every single night- nothing was prerecorded :)

Agreed

It's probably because Alexandra and Jason are well known Jac is not unfortunately.

@@mattbonner5281 this was at the London Palladium
Is there a full recording of Joseph?
That’s what I was thinking 🤔
It's on Britbox with Donny Osmond as Joseph.
The Donny Osmond Video is from another production though...based on the London Palladium Show from the 1990s
I have found act 1 with Linzey 2021 but there isn’t a act 2
@@patriciajune5 can you link it please?
do you know where I can get the full version of this production with alexandra burke i have been recommended it?
No one risks filming theatre productions, you'd need to see it live.
