I think nearly every death in this video was preventable.
So were all the deaths in the last YDYD. And, really, most of the deaths in AH's other Minecraft videos. And a lot of AH's non-Minecraft videos....

as someone who spent a LOT of time playing HC minecraft, every single one of them was easy to prevent. my first orders of business : obtain about 30 seeds, a couple saplings, get underground. as long as i can get a farm hollowed out fast enough, i have a fully self-sustained underground bunker that i never have to leave, aside from going deeper to get minerals. so the only time i bite the dust is if i get creeped from behind. i also play solo, so i don't have to worry about keeping other people alive, but that also means i dont have extra hands gathering resources etc. if i find a village within the first 2-3 days, i am golden, at least for a while. watching them attempt this is amusing, but it sucks to see people getting knocked out on things you know how to prevent.

@@willblue1831 his point was that they were acting and playing dumb by not having armor the entire episode and still confronting mobs. Especially water, ranged ones. If you've seen the series Minecraft Ultra Hardcore (hearts don't regen), all of them go underground to get armor and iron or diamond equipment.
They constantly overestimate themselves and underestimate the mobs lol

Honestly he still wasn't really doing it right cos anyone who makes a full set of wood tools are dumb. You really just need to make a wooden pickaxe and then everything from there on is stone tools. But either way at least he's making progress :)

It's not possible, they are playing on a hardcore server. The only way to bring someone back is to start again from scratch.
This seed is ROUGH. The Drowned with tridents make islands insanely dangerous.

Haven't played Minecraft in a while so I'm not sure but doesn't the server prevent you from respawning when its set to hardcore?

It prevents you to spawn by ingame means but you just have to change a players gamemode from spectator to survival with commands or I assume somehow in the player list on the server config
@@iannations2543 It's AH we're talking about here... they're fun to watch because they're basically inept at everything. How they thought they could do this series legit and still be entertaining is beyond me; it's fun to try, but nobody watches them for their successes. I think this is a really good idea because it's perfect for them: they get as many chances as they want so long as supplies last, they get to play off of each other by deciding who to bring back first, and the ToP makes it more thematic.

I’m totally down for a Tower of Pimps revival for next season(I’m sure this is probably nearing the end of filming, if not already finished), as gold isn’t usually super prevalent and obsidian requires diamond tools to move; the ToP takes a decent amount of resources to make, and is 100% thematically probable(we haven’t witnessed the “power” of the ToP in YDYD from what I remember) and it’s the best thing in the whole of Minecraft.
IIRC, they built one in the first YDYD series right after Jack died. Then, they added on to it to serve as a memorial.
Kossm2814 Jeremy didn’t do his “summoning the gods” bit either so technically we still didn’t see the power of the ToP then. Totally forgot about that though, been a while since I rewatched YDYD season one.
Also totally mistakenly thought they finished the series before uploading episode 2, figured it would last pretty similarly to season one and that it would be short and sweet. Yeah not gonna happen there. Either way, I still really enjoy this season, all of the over the top editing for potentially deadly situations, the hilarity of how the bois die, it’s been a heck of a season. Can’t wait to see who’s left in the end(or “the End” bc they will likely not be able to survive the dragon fight, maybe not even see the dragon at all at this rate lol)

Trevor was making a jab at the comment section for the last YDYD. after gavin died alot of the comment section was claiming they wanted to die since it was gavin who wanted to do the series and died early. (wich by the show they gave was not entirely wrong) even going so far as to say the entire ending of the last one was scripted. (not counting the hell section wich was clearly for laughs)

When someone dies, everyone can try and capture a zombie in a box (wooden cube thing) with a sign of their name, then that person is allowed to talk to them again
then the zombie despawns when someone isnt assigned to continously monitor it to prevent that from occuring

To be fair, I've never heard of a bubble column. They barely knew about the drowned, which I assume is somewhat new content. so it's extremely doubtful that they would know about the bubble columns
To prove Alex's point....what's a bubble column? I've had a sea-side world next to some ruins for months now, so this sounds like something I can use to finally explore the damn thing (haven't found a nether fortress yet, so no potions, either).
Perhaps they should have done a version appreciation before jumping into a YDYD scenario.

As for the version apprectiation, they already DID do one for the underwater update, sort of, with the previous Fishing Jamboree. They were going around trying to catch fish in buckets and leash dolphins, occasionally getting their asses handed to them by trident-trident-weilding drowned in the process.Obviously, that playthrough did NOT help them this round though. 😂
They need a set of goals and when they accomplish one goal they get a respawn, but they have to vote who to bring back.

Yeah ive seen other hardcore minecraft LPs and they were WAYYYY more cautious. Maybe they need to do hardcore no heart regeneration with food. Only healing items like potions. Then it might be a lil bit more "serious"
