The extra gear box is known as a creeper drive. My Father worked for IH for 41 years. At now the defunct Clarence Wilson and Sons in Kimberton, PA. Other than that the tractor is look good.
Do u have a video that shows exactly how to fix the throwout bearing, I guess that is under the yolk? My husband wants to watch how u done the coil spring thing and everything.
That drive belt you have hanging. How can I swap out that belt once the mower is built. I don't know what part of the assembly to take off or flex to get the belt around the pulley. Do you have a video of that process?
I’m having a problem with the clutch/shaft on an original. I had to put a new belt in so I took the front bearing part off and now I put it back together and the clutch is shaking when I let go of the pedal. Did I adjust the linkage from the pedal too tight?
You'll need to get cub cadet service manual with a parts breakdown if you are planning to do a full restoration. There are to many part numbers to list. I'm not sure what you mean by a throw out bearing. IH-468390-R92 and IH-468391-R11 and IH-25556-R1 are original part numbers for clutch bearings. You can try searching parts on cub cadet.com. They will have some common parts. You will have to do some research to find others, but you need a parts manual first. Good luck!
Thank you for taking the time to document your restoration.
Tractor looks great, in the process of restoring an original of my own, hope it look as nice as this one!!
Thanks!
Coming alone nicely!
Labor of love. Nice job!

so did you have to cut (shorten) to driveshaft to install the hi/lo, you had made mention of an alteration?

s g1 Easiest way is to remove the engine mount bolts, remove the driveshaft bolts. Slide the engine forward enough to slip the belt on.
Robert Heinkel thanks. i got it done
