Beautiful job. Absolutely gorgeous bowl. Thanks for the idea. As for the grumpy comments on here 😳. As a free to watch video where I dont have to pay for your services to teach me or anybody else. Beautiful bowl. I missed the normal flow of your videos. Don't listen to the naysayers. I enjoy your videos. They help in keeping me motivated. Some day I would really love to join you in becoming a hobbiest wood turner. Keep up the good work.
I know it wasn't you,, I also know the video's are bad, I was still figuring out what and how to do things. I read those comments and don't take any of it to heart, I just try to adjust the problems, if there is one as I go.
Just a lucky by chance result with the colors blending like they did, the first one didn't turn out like that. still red and yellow but no flame like swirls. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful bowel! You make it look so easy and effortless to do. Thank you so much for sharing that and your process with everyone. I really appreciate it! Ican hardly wait to see more. Keep it up!
I'm planning on redoing this one, Video editing rookie I am, It's just horrible, the bowl is great, the video stinks ! I'm glad you liked the bowl and thanks for watching, hopefully the next one gets better reviews.
I don't know, If I could turn out work like what you are doing in just a few short months I will consider myself pleased with myself, but some of the stuff that some of the more advanced turners are doing is really interesting to watch, especially how they go about figuring out how to put the piece together in a way to get the end result. It makes you think a project through.
I just did one like that and tried my best at explaining what and why I was doing it. makes the video long doing all that so it ended up being a 2 part video, it took me a couple months of trying to work out how to do it in my head, with only a couple videos out there for what I wanted to do, it turned out well as I just went a head and did it. if you don't mind checking those out, they would be the saturn bowl videos, other than that, you are only limited by your own imagination, the flaming flower bowl totally came to be during turning, I had an idea based on something someone else has done, it started out in that direction and became what you have seen, nothing like Jim's bowl at all, LOL
OMGosh! Wow!!! I was thinking that if you gave me step by step instructions, I doubt mines would turn out so well. Lol, back to crocheting granny squares 😊
I do need to redo this one, sometimes I wish I hadn't put some of these videos up, they are just horrible . but the projects are great, really there is no method to my madness, I just do and see how it turns out. seems the more I thing and put into a project the more I struggle with it looking good.
@@PohlBarnProductions LOL! I haven't met anyone who takes pride in their work be satisfied with the outcome. The method for the madness is professionalism and perfection. It'll drive you batty & makes you very good at what you do. I can't do what you can, but I can appreciate it!😎
I bet you can.... I started this to see if I could do what those other guys are doing. and Tah Dah here I am... it's really not all that hard, unless you over think it ! I am very glad you like the things I have done. Thanks again for watching Doug
Thank You, I'm actually working on another one of those in different colors, I wanted to redo that video and some one ordered one in green and blue so I'm currently filming that with a little more explanation on to what and why with less babbling about my shaky hand. I hope I've gotten better at editing since that video.
I'm currently watching the Green? River Bowl. I think your editing is fine for what you're doing, it's not a music video... Those pressure pots you use, are they costly? I also think the scrap bowl is awesome. @@PohlBarnProductions
Coo, the longer you take to put in the second color if that is what you are doing, the more likely it will not blend making a 3rd color. then when turning make sure you turn the outside first so you can turn out the teeth marks at the bottom of the holes, and good luck, I'd like to see it if you don't mind when it's finished, messenger on F/B for the Pohl Barn Productions. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
I don't give a rip what the rest of these egg heads have to say!!??!! I appreciate your video & enjoy watching every bit of what you have to show!! In fact I've never missed any of your videos that I can find. Always cool stuff!!
Thank You... Jim ! I really don't either, I did hear a new one today on the pine cone box, dude says to Try making a Lighted Nail Clipping Box, Hang on I'm still Laughing at that one ! gave him a heart comment.
Hey nice job! Just a tip, anytime you add resin to wood you should do a seal coat of resin before you pour and that will help a lot with bubbles and pen holes
This bowl is to beautiful to put anything in it. Should be displayed on some type of light to show those beautiful colors. You can tell you really love what you do and shows in your pieces. Hope to own one of your pieces soon.
Thank You... I should probably make another one of those now that I know some what more of what I am doing filming and editing, I no longer have that bowl it's since gone off to it's new home, if I can get that flaming look again,, I hope so !
What a beautiful bowl, a great project, well done to you sir! Have to agree with a little bit of the negativity from Glen, but as a newbie I would also like to see it at a speed I can keep up with, and information as to what how and why would be a boon for us newcomers, having said that you did a great job and looking forward to your next video and hopefully in a way that your presentation shows you enjoy doing it LOL! Regards, Tony.
yeah i know, I'm a newbie as well to all of this. turning, filming, editing ect ect ... I have another in the works, Just haven't had the time to film anything, there are a couple of my video's I plan on re-doing based on viewers feedback and interest on them. Thanks for watching and for your kind words.
Wowee, this is beautiful; what a good idea for the resin placements, it works so aesthetically within the bowl. I think it was a good video, it's good to listen to the thought processes of why and how one gets to an idea; as Nick over at NZ Woodturning says "keep calm and waffle on"... Those that don't want to hear a waffle can always fast forward with the sound down, huh 😉 it would just be another sped through video then I guess 🤔 boring... Keep up the good work and the pyrography is easy, don't stress about it and it'll flow.
Munchkinzi I'm thinking of redoing this along with the pinecone box. I really didn't expect my videos to turn into a global pandemic. They were intended for family and friends. It's absolutely crazy how fast it spread out across the planet due to one shout out by another youtuber.
Thank You, Oh they don't bother me anymore, They are actually helping me by watching,, I get a view, commenting get me on to the suggested video status. it's all good let them look like fools.

You should get a branding iron or a metal emblem with your insignia in it and glue it in or use the resin to hold it in place after you make an indention for it. it looks very professional.
The bowl is exquisite. Simple in design but very beautiful. 😊❤
That is simply gorgeous, I love that shape and style!👍👏
