Question, I just tasted my sauerkraut after two weeks of fermenting and it's bitter. This is my third or fourth time making sauerkraut and they have never been bitter. What might have happened? Was it something I did or could it have been bitter cabbage. I didn't taste the cabbage beforehand. Note: sauerkraut smelled good and looked good. only thing off was the bitterness 😢
Anna, I soak my chickens feed in kefir. Do you think this should be a three day method also? Now I do an overnight.❤😊 You did a fantastic job today. Your group of people had great comments and questions.
@FermentedHomestead hopefully they invit you to come. Then I'd try to buy tickets. Though I've heard the tickets sell out very very very fast. It's just down the street from me, but i totally get it. Traveling can be taxing.
I never get tired of hearing your feement talks! ❤
Awesome! And you look so lovely in that dress! I hope to see you in action in person one of these days! Love you, Anna!
Thank you for bringing your fermenting knowledge to the rest of us wanting to learn.

I generally do a 3 day ferment whether I have a starter or not but I’m not certain it’s required. I agree! I love it when the crowd gets involved!
@@FermentedHomestead their involvement was so 😎 cool
@fermentedhomestead I'd totally buy some kefir grains from you!
Do you think you may come to the Homesteading convention the happens in Virginia?
I have attended a couple of times but I don’t anticipate going again unless I’m invited to speak, it’s a pretty long trip for me.
