Mark sounds great in a lower range still. I wish he would stop trying to sing so high, but I guess some of the songs call for it. He still has what he always had in lower ranges. It's his tone that makes him great and not the high pitch. I'd love to hear a new album from Slaughter in a lower range. Think "Searching." One of my favorites.
Agree I think any Slaughter fan or fan of Mark's when he sang with Vinnie Vincent knew that when the day came that Mark lost the high notes it would going to sound like a cat being strangled and it does. He should stay low. I'm not comparing him to Tom Keifer because Keifer is a fucking amazing musician and still sounds great. However the point I'm trying to make is Keifer has dialed down a lot of straining parts to protect his voice. On a song like Don't Know What you got til it's Gone he sings most of the song down and gentle and only the end straining the voice a bit.

i like this band very much (the originals) but this guys need to get out of the stages long time ago , the drummer is ridiculous and mark sounds like my drunken grandma when i make noise and she wake up bad in the morning

I have mixed feelings about Zolton Chaneys drumming. On one hand its overdone and show boaty. But on the other hand its funny and entertaining. Sound wise not bad at all.
I agree I'm the same way but I have seen him with Vince as well and I don't know if he does the tricks so people don't pay attention to how fucking bad Mark and Vince sound these days lol. However the truth is I think he does some of it on purpose and other times I think he gets caught up in the fun of the song and goes with the flow.
The drummer is ruining this great song. It needs to be played straight and smooth. There is a time for showing out...but some songs do not need it. What a shame.

Superbatfirenze, what happened was he wasn't sleeping enough, talking too much, and singing way too much to the point where nodes grew on his vocal chords. It had nothing to do with the high register, it was due to the amount of over usage on them. In 92 Mark had to get surgery that proved to only be very much too short term fix then had numerous failed surgeries after that.
