Neal: Thank you for composing this. Seriously, THANK YOU. What you have done with this piece (based on Stormwind's city music theme) is beyond words. This channel exists because the music you and the other composers have put together throughout WoW's lifetime is immersively epic and moving--everyone should be able to hear every single thing you've done for this game. I've been a student of music for over 30 years, and a lover of Blizzard's music for almost 20 years of that time. This piece literally made me stop everything and stare blankly for almost 15 straight minutes: captivating, moving, utter perfection. Thanks.
For me, this is the best piece of music from Warcraft or WoW. Until today, I had problems believing how someone could cry over music. Now I don´t. Thank you!
Bro, alot of the soundtracks for WoW is just spectacular, this one tho.. is the cherry on the top, this is what i've been waiting for, for over 10 years! THANK YOU
" Why waste your warriors and resources in battle, when a few words will bring you greater profit? I have always heard the Horde were honorable people." Anduin Wyrynn.
Shadow Striker Thanks for the heads up. Wish I could correct it, but I'm on my mobile. Don't be so hard on yourself. You're just trying to help. In fact, I appreciate people who point out other people's mistakes. It helps them improve. 😊
This kind of music is on-par with Hollywood's greatest composers like Hans Zimmer, James Horner and Howard Shore. It's truly a masterpiece of musical composition and stirs as many emotions as Russel Brower's "Invincible" did and still do. To anyone who think that music in games isn't on-par with music in per example films, should listen to these kind of compositions. Neal Acree; you deserve a spot amongst the stars of game music composers with other prominent stars like Nobuo Uematsu, Jeremy Soule, Koji Kondo, Russell Brower, Harry Gregson-Williams and more. This is truly amazing.
I would said Lord of the Ring Soundtrack is the best but man if they hire at least a composer for wow for the Warcraft movie then they will sure as hell beat it. No, we got shitty repetitive drum music that doesn't make any sense. It fit games of throne better but not Warcraft.
I have very few things about wow that i consider "great" but music is definitely one of them. Neal Acree is second only to Yuka Kitamura, and not by much.
Mind you, "Invincible" was done by 4 people, not just Russell Brower. Lyrics for Invincible were by Derek Duke and Neal, and the music was by Jason Hayes and Russel, and the piece itself was a continuation of the "Arthas, My Son" track by Neal.
As someone who has been there since Anduin was a child with a Reagent, to helping Varian escape and reclaim his throne, to watching father and son reunite and slowly try to forge a bond from the ashes of their broken relationship, to seeing Anduin rebel and forge his own path in Pandaria, and now, to know that we will be there when Varian falls and watch Anduin claim the throne he didn't want so soon.... Words cannot describe this. The music has so much more impact than anything I can say.
Legion music was (and IS) so awesome. WOTLK brings me the best memories about a videogame, but Legion brings me incredible memories about a videogame's music. This theme, the halls' themes... I will miss those times forever. I still remember when I first arrived at Legion's Stormwind and I listened to this beautiful music. I had goosebums and I keep having them.
I first heard Julie on a track called "Icarus" by Ivan Torrent. Been a fan ever since. Her vocals are beautiful. :) It's so surreal hearing her on a video game, but at the same time amazing.
"But from you, I have learned patience, tolerance, and faith. Anduin, I now believe as you do, that peace is the noblest aspiration." This song just gets me so emotional, it's absolutely gorgeous. Truly a work of art. It manages to make me want to cry, but rouses a fight in me when I think about Varian's sacrifice, and how much potential Anduin has to be an amazing king. Never thought I'd get so emotional over a video game, but damn this song does it for me. Chills. Amazing job to EVERYONE who worked to make this masterpiece.
I can say without a doubt that Anduin just got the best music theme in Wow. This is also the same theme when his father go to battle in the Legion Cinematic. It is so symbolic and awesome as the same time.
Thinh Vo Well, I actually like Anduin, so I have no problem with him having the best theme in WoW. But I think he will become much better character in this expansion.
I heard this beautiful masterpiece for the first time after the Broken Shores event was over. You know, just after the Varian cinematic and you spawn in Stormwind again. I almost started crying.. and then I heard the vocals.. wow. Rest in peace, Varian. Your kingdom is in great hands. For Anduin! For the Alliance!
The young lion of Stormwind has ascended the mountainside to his throne. His heart is heavy with grief, the old lion no longer able to stand and fight both at his side and on his behalf. But as wounded as he is, the young lion also knows that without him, chaos and lawlessness and fear will reign in a day the skies are turning green with fire; the kingdom, and the Alliance as a whole, need people who can offer clarity and hope in days full of darkness, danger, death and despair. And so, knowing what must be done, what he must do as his father before him... the young lion takes his new seat, and now he ROARS! HAIL, KING ANDUIN WRYNN OF STORMWIND! LONG LIVE THE KING! *Sounds can be heard of a crowd echoing the cry of "Hail, King Anduin! Long live the king!" for an untold distance.*
OMG...something I didn't know but I had an idea would happen...so...more now than ever those who stand strong and resolute in the Light are the bastions of hope...PALADINS OF AZEROTH! THE PEOPLE NEED YOU!
This expansion is a copy of WotLK, proof: 1:59 An karanir thanagor The legion and WotLK cinematics also start with the words: My son On the same expansions they need to fight a big army Legion Good expansion confirmed
The first time I was beginning Broken Shore, I hanged around he Harbour for almost hour, listening to music, watching Alliance forces preparations, /saluting to soldiers... That's definitely my favorite "immersive" moment in WOW.
Anduin is a beautiful soul, rightfully taught by Prophet Velen about the Light. He was a good person before that but his time with the Draenei helped to hone his peaceful ways and his magic. He sees the person behind the visage and has a wisdom beyond his years. He will grieve if his father dies, but he will realize his father died a hero and he will be the best king Stormwind has ever had. He's going to be sad about the loss of life, but he knows the Legion must be stopped.
Man, listening to this after I watched the Warcraft movie and the scene where King Llane tells little Varian to watch after the kingdom for him... It makes this all the more heavy. AN KARANIR THANAGOR! HAIL HIGH KING VARIAN WRYNN!
I can't deal with all the emotions this music gives me, it's so beautiful and fits him so well with the context around him the next xpac. ngl, I'm in literal tears right now, this is so beautiful
I can't blame ya, in fact this is one of the things I loved about MoP, the character themes. They are just so fitting to said character at said point during the lore. (ie: Jaina's theme.)
***** Ok first of all I just want to say: thank you. You're the first person I've met on UA-cam who's actually acknowledge that fact! Given, I haven't really liked Thrall since WotLK, but the fact that he pulls so much BULLSHIT and gets away with it every single time pisses me of. Oh, and let's not forget he technically stole your kill. Meaning, we had an EXPANSION AND A HALF of Garrosh being our arch-enemy, us mowing down his armies and struggling to strike him down, JUST for that moment to finally come...and then be taken by Thrall. Not to mention, if you play Alliance, you don't even SEE Thrall after Tanaan Jungle. He literally just pops out of nowhere, in YOUR fight, and challenges YOUR enemy to a Mak'gora. Which he then breaks every rule of and kills Garrosh. I could also go on that there were like five other characters more qualified to be in that "Justice For Thrall" cutscene (including you, of course), but that's another subject. Oh and yes, Khadgar is the best! He's actually the only reason I'm still playing WoD, I want to finish the Legendary quest, and of course, witness more Khadgar screentime! :D But once again: thank you! It's so refreshing to meet someone else on UA-cam who knows that maybe Thrall isn't as perfect as Metzen portrays him to be.
2022 and this is still the best music for me. Gives me peace of mind and puts all worries behind. While it sounds sorrowful, it uplifts my spirit. Gives hope. Gives a message to never give up. 💪
Even the warriors of the Horde are here, listening, mourning. We all lost too much before even it actually starts.many souls lost in the legion's fire.We both escaped,Great sacrifices has been made.Vol'jin, corrupted by fel, left powerless,hopeless..Varian,glorious way to die, dream of every Warrior of Horde... But we live.We live to fight another day, avenge them.It is possible if we stand united, side by side.Because as a son of the Horde,as a Shaman of the Nagrand,Azeroth is our home,All of us.There is no other world,no other faction to defend it.Put aside your anger, hatred, disappointments because it won't matter if we lose. Turn your face to the sky painted green by the enemy, close your eyes.In memory of Vol'jin,In memory of Varian,Yell louder, axes and swords are sharper now.And make every demon and its servants hear it.Yell harder,Victory or death with the light,We will stand here united for all we hold dear, all we lost.We stand here for Azeroth !
This is beyond beautiful. This is absolutely amazing. I listen to this every single day. I feel like I get to know Anduin a lot better just because I listen to this music. Beside that this is just... I can't even. I love it so much. I'm speechless. I'm literally speechless. Let me tell you that there aren't many things in this world which can make me speechless at all. This is my favourite music by far when it comes to the World of Warcraft soundtrack. I'm stunned. Thank you, Neal Acree. Honestly. Thank you. And thank you Warcraft Music and Gaming for uploading this wonderful music in such a nice quality! I can listen to these tracks with a very high volume and it doesn't hurt my ears at all, it sounds nice and clean!
We saw him as a child, alone and afraid. We saw him reunited with his father, broken though he was. We saw his family pushed to the breaking point. We saw his father see the truth, and a humbled king learned from his son. We saw him grow, his boundless compassion spilling out in radiant Light. We saw him stand defiant before a Warchief. Now, all can see. A child no longer, there stands a Man and a King. His resplendent light shall burn the demons from our world! For King Wrynn! For the Alliance!!!
Less content, we are older, more demanding.. But no matter what music is one of the main reasons to buy this game. It's not the same as buying a CD. You go the specific location and then suddenly a masterpiece begins to play.
Farewell, Varian. You were not perfect, but you were grew to become a true King. My king. You and your son learned a lot from each other, may he lead with honor as you did. I hope you find peace where you are now, with your dear wife, I'm sure she's really proud of what you've become. You will never be forgotten, Lo'gosh. For Azeroth.
Araes By what. There is still a cinematic that is lacking in beta to avoid spoiling us. How did Genn and the other escaped and only Varian died? I think he told Jaina to open a portal, told us to run so he can keel the demons at bay. By the time all of us entered he was already swarmed, presumed killed in the battle.
Parvu Vlad There is a funeral, a tomb in Stormwind's park... Plus Blizzard have been pushing Anduin a lot to become King lately, they won't make Varian come back, trust me.
Araes There is a tomb and a funeral because they *at least* think he is dead. I bet the cinematic won't show him killed, but most likely induce us that he was killed. Plus, he has a thing for coming back ',:). They didn't show us a little bit of Lo'Gosh, not even one. I don't want to see his awesomeness only in words, I want to see it with my own eyes....and killed by demons?! What is he, a footman?
This music reminds me of nearing the end of a long, hard fought and dangerous yet fun journey. You're almost home, so close you can feel it and you know you're gonna make it.
well that was what legion was, it wrapped up the long running main story of the whole entire Warcraft IP. After legion ended the game essentially became a POST story production
The very Idea that alliance players watched Anduin age in real time struck a cord with me As a horde player the last time I bothered to care was in the temple of the white tiger where he evoked a bit of respect from me Still crazy to think that while we were off fighting stuff and warring against eachother he was slowly and steadily becoming a man How does it feel to have your very own prodigal son, alliance players?
Thousands of Burning Legion's demons arround us, but we will not fail this world, we shall prevail. ¡For Azeroth! The hype grows with this awesome piece of art. In my opinion one of the best ,if not the best, tracks in WoW history.
I proudly served my King Varian for the alliance, my loyalty unwavering in all my years on Azeroth. And when the sun set and in our darkest hour the Legion claimed our king Anduin, the young prince took the throne of Stormwind and I am so proud that as young as he is he strives to be the just king we deserve. I believe Anduin will bring peace to Azeroth - And I will proudly fight in his name in the battle for Azeroth's peace. FOR THE ALLIANCE.
Around 1:30, you can hear parts of Invincible, but with some words removed (and some shortened). If we translate it using lyrics of Invincible (and little bit of imagination and logic, because translation of Invincible is kind of weird): An Kar Thanagor, (Oh,) Live the king, Mor Ok Gorum, May his strength, Pala Ravali Ah'm, Last (and) fail him never, An Karanir Thanagor! Long live the king!
It´s quite weird, darador means serve in common, but that whole part sounds like one of elven dialects, not to mention that one word which really sounds like Ysera.
Varian's death/funeral was one of the only times in WoW I've actually felt legitimately sad and teared up a bit. Legion was good for that... just watch Ysera's death that was another "right in the feels" moment mostly because of the music.
Wonderful piece of music !!! ♥♥♥ Thank you so much Neal Acree and Julie Elven for producing such beautiful music. This is epic, beautiful, noble, elevated. Both the music composed and the vocals by Julie Elven are very beautiful. Neal Acree and all Blizzard composers never disappointed me, they are princes and they always create fine jewels of exceptional music, that is really touching and really strikes a chord. And it fits so well with the subject, transforming World of Warcraft into an awesome experience. I also love listening to their tracks when I am not in the game. Some of them belong to my favourite instrumental musics and help me to feel better and some of them have an amazing soothing effect while others put you in an epic combative mood. Many musics are very moving, conveying rich emotions, with a lot of soul. All their works are brilliant masterpieces, haunting and enthralling. Listening to their music has been a real and deep delight :) There are no words to express my gratefullness, I could never thank you enough for such awesome works. Sometimes, some musics will stay in my heart, haunt my mind and belong to my collection of most precious treasures of music.
This song is as much about as everyone here, as it is about Anduin. Much like in 2005 when we were introduced to to a very YOUNG Anduin,, much like everyone here. It's 2016 now, child no more. What have you accomplished, and what will you accomplish.
I never thought, in a million years, that a game could give me emotions like this. Playing the beta, ending the intro with Varian dying didnt give me any emotions at the time, but when they put his resting place back in the game and I flew over to look and this + part 2 came on, I cried. I don't know how it happened, I just started crying while looking at the kings memorial. I've never cried to music ever before. Thank you Neal for this amazing soundtrack, and blizzard for such an amazing game! My paladin will fight off every last piece of the Legion in you memory, my king!
"Anduin! I now believe as you do that peace is the noblest aspiration.... , but to preserve it. You must be willing to fight!... FOR AZEROTH!!!"-Varian Wrynn
So beautiful and soulful. My co-worker and I work in a stressful job, during the summer months, and when we are feeling overwhelmed, we play this music. It is relaxing and peaceful. Kudos to Neal Acree, Russell Brower and others for all the absolutely beautiful music they have created for WoW. It is one of the reasons why I love WoW so much. The music is amazing!
so glad to hear this games music becoming so dynamic again, this song really perfectly captures the feeling when you have that damned letter in hand in the harbor. I remember when the boat docked and this music came on I just froze had to sit there and take it in that's how powerful this is to me.
The best WoW song ever... feeling so proud of this game, I didn't feel like that since I heard Invincible. An Karanir Thanagor Anduin, how Arthas should been.
It's just so sad that it had to be this way.. that he who has lost everything have to become king this way.. Where Jaina lost all and descended to madness. Anduin continues, where she failed... and will be the one to bring peace i am sure of it. The burdens are heavy but he will be the one, i am sure of it. The Wrynn dynasty.. is one unfortunate one..
Maybe blizzard killed him to call both Alliance and Horde together against a greater foe. Instead of just telling us to, that maybe we would want to fight when great heroes and good people fall around us. An karanir thranador, long live King Anduin. Aka'magosh, For the Horde!
Put it this way...at least he died on a high point. The other alternatives is 1) he gets corrupted by something and pulls a Garrosh, or 2) he gets superpowered like Green Jesus (aka Thrall) and the whole game becomes about him instead of us.
This whole expansion so far has brought me so many different emotions that I haven't had from previous ones. It was great to see Varian grow as a character. I could barely watch the end cinematic on the broken shore--I knew it was going to give me emotions, but the way it happened in the end just BROKE me. Farewell, Great King...
I wonder how Anduin will progress through this all, loosing his father and all, taking on the burden of being the King, Anduin has grown to become the opposite of Arthas, we will have to see what roads King Anduin takes and what other prices he will have to pay for peace.
Am I the only one wondering how the hell they didn't use Blizzard composers to make movie music?!? I still don't get it ffs,it would be even more epic, how can't they see this?Am I the only one constantly saying this?!
Jameson VK Actually, they used a composer who did music for Game of Thrones - which sucks for Warcraft. Warcraft has it`s own well know music and sound and composers.
Ramin Djawadi did the music and, imo, suffers because of that. I don't think he's a strong composer at all. He made Warcraft seem like generic fantasy and that hurts.
+Jameson VK no disrespect to Two Steps from Hell, they are amazing! Absolutely outstanding, but they didn't use them at all, they had Djawadi,Game of Thrones compose it.So sad....
While I like the soundtrack of the movie, I agree whole heartedly agree that they should have used music from Wow. It would have been a nostalgic blast to every Wow player; and for the Non-wow players it maybe would have been the only chance that they get to enjoy these masterpieces.
Wrong. Greymane is King of Gilneas. One kingdom. Anduin is leader of Stormwind, Gilneas, Khaz'modan, Ashenvale (what's left of it) and Azuremyst Isles. All of these have their rulers, kings, leaders. Yet Anduin is THEIR leader. Which gives him title of the High King.
Correct me, then. WHY is Velen calling Anduin High King? Why is Genn Greymane calling Varian his Lord, even though he too is a king? Varian was the High King of the Alliance. Anduin by the law of Successory took this title after his father. And which title other leaders of the Alliance respect.
I made a Pj Alliance just for tell "Goodbye" to Varian. Varian, i remember when the first time i saw u, i felt in love and in home, i felt so much things for you. I have a Horde hearth but an Alliance soul... Thank you for everything you made for the Alliance...LONG LIVE FOR THE NEW KING! (Sorry if my english isn't correct but i speak spanish).
It pretty much starts right away. The solo voice at the beginning is a "sad" version of the opening chorus for the original Stormwind music: ua-cam.com/video/7rrz9ZFyDPY/v-deo.html
the whole thing is basically a sad, extended Stormwind thing. The flute's playing that in slow motion from the beginning, with a few higher notes thrown in for differentiation. It sucks that Blizzard finally gave Varian his first badass moment in World of Warcraft only to cut him down with felguards, then explode in felfire. I hope he got as great a funeral cinematic as we horde did for Vol'jin.
11:08 to 12: 38 just gives me effing chills. I literally have goosebumps on my arms. It's such an amazing piece of music that I just cannot get enough of. I absolutely love this music and it.... right in the heart.
Everyone on Anduin before Legion: A pansy priest boy Everyone on Anduin upon hearing this song: *He's god now. He is the king of kings. I'll die for him on god*
It seems it was one of the Themes in the reveal trailer. Also, I guess it is the Female Choir (a la Invincible) Russel Brower talked about in his Dublin VGL Interview.
+Sirah1981 Yeah I think it was originally a young boy. But maybe it was a woman since it was a woman that sang Invincible in many "Live concert". But hey, it's a detail.
I'm now listening to the original track at /watch?v=4n6WP9qHyRM&ab_channel=OmegaX91, and I do think the main singer in the original track is a boy, which actually fits with the first part being a mourning song from Arthas to his dead horse. The choir clearly has a lot of female presence, especially at the start following "Arthas" in the background, and then in the main force, but it has men too, and low voices at that (1.38 forward very prominently). Of course live perforamnces are live performances, and it must be an amazing song sang by any capable singer/choir. :)
We've fought demons, Death itself, Even the end of the world as well as our very emotions. We've defeated the Legion once and we'll do it again not as Alliance or Horde but as One. For Azeroth!!!
Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Just... really, thank you!! This is, by far, one of the most incredible soundtrack I've ever heard.

This is just a new level man. Holy shit
Lol, you were right, it's so good.
yes that is a new level of quality who did that skellige version of stormwind theme at 0:50 ? Neal Acree? it oh my goodness
ok the name of the game is the best word to describe it
WOW just wow
am i right ? :)
Is it normal to cry at this?
" Why waste your warriors and resources in battle, when a few words will bring you greater profit? I have always heard the Horde were honorable people." Anduin Wyrynn.
Now, THATS a real King.
Also buddy I don't wanna sound like grammar Nazi but it's "profit", not "prophit".

Scirvire The Astral Walker You're welcome lad! :D

For all those wondering, the stunning vocals were provided by @JulieElvenMusic. Her UA-cam channel can be found here: ua-cam.com/users/voiceprints
Thank you!! It was an honour to create the vocals for Anduin's theme - and Neal is absolutely amazing! :)
+Julie Elven You are most welcome! I was so glad when Neal let me know this was your voice. I'm an instant fan.
I first heard Julie on a track called "Icarus" by Ivan Torrent. Been a fan ever since. Her vocals are beautiful. :) It's so surreal hearing her on a video game, but at the same time amazing.
Yes me too. I have a collection of her awesome songs
+Warcraft Music and Gaming did she also sing for the witcher games by any chance? Specifically maybe witcher 2.
"But from you, I have learned patience, tolerance, and faith. Anduin, I now believe as you do, that peace is the noblest aspiration."

I was wrong.
Filip Batora AND IT IS ANDUIN THEME. THE GOODY TWO SHOES OF THE ALLIANCE.
Thinh Vo Well, I actually like Anduin, so I have no problem with him having the best theme in WoW. But I think he will become much better character in this expansion.
+Filip Batora I dont like anduin at all but this music is a masterpiece of masterpieces
I agree. I don't know how they did to top Invincible, but they did.
Can you feel it? is WoW music
no words.. just feelings
I heard this beautiful masterpiece for the first time after the Broken Shores event was over. You know, just after the Varian cinematic and you spawn in Stormwind again. HAIL, KING ANDUIN WRYNN OF STORMWIND! LONG LIVE THE KING!
*Sounds can be heard of a crowd echoing the cry of "Hail, King Anduin! Long live the king!" for an untold distance.*
*slowly claps*
For the Alliance! For King Anduin! For Varian! And for Azeroth!!
Im a Horde player but the music is epic indeed and fits very good. Good story telling from you. Incredible epic lyrics too!
OMG...something I didn't know but I had an idea would happen...so...more now than ever those who stand strong and resolute in the Light are the bastions of hope...PALADINS OF AZEROTH! THE PEOPLE NEED YOU!
This music plays in the new/rebuilt Stormwind park. I'm glad I have alliance toons just for that (even though my main is horde).
the first minute I was like ''sounds beautiful'' but once the singing started I was blown away...amazing work!
Remember when WoW came out, and Anduin was just a random(ish) little kid being king of Stormwind.... So much time has passed since then :)
+Sir Buljo easy on the spoilers though. Im not in the beta 😚
That boy became a man...
+Shargas ttz he also got the best music :)
Quoting reddit; Manduin.
Blizzard never fails with the music. Man, I teared up after the first minute I heard this.
I just love how at 1:59 She says An karanir thanagor, which translates to "Long live the King"
*Arthas cinematic feels in a new way.*
exactly
This expansion is a copy of WotLK, proof: 1:59 An karanir thanagor
The legion and WotLK cinematics also start with the words: My son
On the same expansions they need to fight a big army
Legion Good expansion confirmed
i think anduin is a son of Arthas, blonde hair, blue eyes, Arthas too have holy spells. Any stormwind king havent blonde hair
Varian's wife, Tiffin, was blonde. Anduin had a chance to be blonde
I just heard Tarator and thought of a shawarma
2:00 "An Karanir Thanagor..." Long live the king.
the one who got kidnapped or the one who got disenchanted? 🤔
Check out Dalaran: ua-cam.com/video/BMwnPv1vjQc/v-deo.html
Oh my god thank you for linking this one. Gah one thing that WoW will never fail me on is their amazing music, I love it all so much
You're very welcome. The Legion music is absolutely and breathtakingly brilliant.
I can't blame ya, in fact this is one of the things I loved about MoP, the character themes. They are just so fitting to said character at said point during the lore. (ie: Jaina's theme.)
This is some of the best in-game music i have ever heard. Blizzard just keeps getting better and better with their music!
Blizzard you never cease to amaze me. If there is one thing you never fail on its the music
I've been waiting so long for Anduin to finally get this own theme song, and now I'm near tears. This is so beautiful, perfect for him....
Anduin is like, the only guy that I know I can trust into battle. I'd pledge my life for him.
But once again: thank you! It's so refreshing to meet someone else on UA-cam who knows that maybe Thrall isn't as perfect as Metzen portrays him to be.
+Jem Martin An Karanir Thanagor, King Anduin!
Every single second of that track is pure epic. Very well done Blizzard.
I will love you forever World of Warcraft
I swear
I cannot find the words... The best Warcraft music ever, the best fantasy soundtrack ever.
I cried. That was just... amazing. I do not have the words to describe how powerful and beautiful this track is.
This...this is beautiful. We're talking MoP/Invincible quality here.
Right in the honey-nut feelios 😭
same
This is beyond beautiful.
You go the specific location and then suddenly a masterpiece begins to play.
exactly what you said. exactly, music. I can never get enough of it
Love him or hate him, you have to admit, Anduin has come far since we first met the lil' guy as a kid all those years ago.
I can't even describe, how much I fell in love with that theme. It's very nostalgic, peaceful, and touching for me.
How do we know he REALLY died? Do we get to see it...I'm skeptical and hopeful that he will manage to survive whatever "killed" him
Parvu Vlad I don't want to get into too much Legion spoilers, but yeah it's pretty much confirmed...
Holy molly, this flute is the expression of serenity and peace in a just instrument, that's why I love to play and hear it!
Say what you want about WoW, but the music has always been top fucking notch.
every blizzard game has topnotch music. please listen to diablo 2 wilderness
The very Idea that alliance players watched Anduin age in real time struck a cord with me
As a horde player the last time I bothered to care was in the temple of the white tiger where he evoked a bit of respect from me
Still crazy to think that while we were off fighting stuff and warring against eachother he was slowly and steadily becoming a man
How does it feel to have your very own prodigal son, alliance players?
ikr, i always liked Anduin, even when a good number of people hated him for no good reason.
Feels the beautiful sky FOR THE ALLIANCE , FOR THE HORDE. FOR AZERTOH FOREVER
This piece perfectly outlines Legion. So much feels in the quests, immersion we have all missed, so much to do, the return of solid progression!
For the King Anduin, for the Alliance !
RIP ! sir diarkos est partout :p
+seb kun Toujours ! :p
+seb kun Toujours ! :p
+Diarkös aussi vile que le chasseur de chaussette.. euh démon fouflet :p
Chasseur de chaussettes me semble adapté pour Fouflet ^_^
I was filming in stormwind park for my next video and I just stopped everything to listen to this, truly magical
Thousands of Burning Legion's demons arround us, but we will not fail this world, we shall prevail. ¡For Azeroth!
The hype grows with this awesome piece of art. In my opinion one of the best ,if not the best, tracks in WoW history.
FOR AZEROTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we translate it using lyrics of Invincible (and little bit of imagination and logic, because translation of Invincible is kind of weird):
An Kar Thanagor, (Oh,) Live the king,
Mor Ok Gorum, May his strength,
Pala Ravali Ah'm, Last (and) fail him never,
An Karanir Thanagor! Long live the king!
2.20 she sings something about Ysera. "Ysera nah, darador, an'delanu anah....Ysera nah, daralu, darador anah" is how I hear it.
It´s quite weird, darador means serve in common, but that whole part sounds like one of elven dialects, not to mention that one word which really sounds like Ysera.
Filip Batora It's really interesting at least. "serve" in relation to Ysera could refer to absolutely anything, but I thought it sounded elven too.
damn dude, you did your homework, neat
Spacelander Thanks :)
Varian's death/funeral was one of the only times in WoW I've actually felt legitimately sad and teared up a bit. Legion was good for that... just watch Ysera's death that was another "right in the feels" moment mostly because of the music.
This is so beautiful...and sad. I can't even... I just can't...
Wonderful piece of music !!! ♥♥♥
Thank you so much Neal Acree and Julie Elven for producing such beautiful music.
Listening to their music has been a real and deep delight :)
There are no words to express my gratefullness, I could never thank you enough for such awesome works.
One of the many reasons why I still play WoW is the music! Such beautiful songs...
Holy Mother of Mercy... This... is.. AMAZING!
Jajajajajajajajajaajajajajajajajs
So beautiful and soulful. My co-worker and I work in a stressful job, during the summer months, and when we are feeling overwhelmed, we play this music. It is relaxing and peaceful. Kudos to Neal Acree, Russell Brower and others for all the absolutely beautiful music they have created for WoW. It is one of the reasons why I love WoW so much. The music is amazing!
"The light shall burn you!" said Anduin as he cast Entomb upon Sargeras.
But his side of the board was full, so Sargeras just disappeared.
And he had a Djinni of Zephyrs out, too, so that vanished into his deck.
so glad to hear this games music becoming so dynamic again, this song really perfectly captures the feeling when you have that damned letter in hand in the harbor. I remember when the boat docked and this music came on I just froze had to sit there and take it in that's how powerful this is to me.
There are no words.
This is above words.
it's called music. )
Never played WoW past lvl 30, but some of pieces of the soundtrack still give me goosebumps, this one f.e.
1 of the best WoW soundtracks i have ever listened!!! amazing!!!!! FOR THE ALLIANCE!!!!!!
It's been six years since I've played WoW, this music would be the reason why I would even come back.
_An Karanir Thanagor_ Anduin Wrynn.
Let us hope this Wrynn will be the one to end the misfortune that has so beset the Wrynn dynasty. Since day one.
Well, Barathen Wrynn (Llane´s father) lived at least 90 years, so at least he did well.
I just adore the beginning flute. Just beautiful. I don't play Alliance as much as Horde, but this song makes me want to never leave Stormwind
Step aside Invincible, I have found my new favourite WoW track to date!
Wow, this is such a beautiful theme song! If only Blizzard's plot and character development were equal to its music and cinematic quality. :(
The best WoW song ever... feeling so proud of this game, I didn't feel like that since I heard Invincible.
An Karanir Thanagor Anduin, how Arthas should been.
The trumpets in this...make my heart want to run a marathon......so....beautiful....words can't...describe it....😳
It's just so sad that it had to be this way.. that he who has lost everything have to become king this way.. Where Jaina lost all and descended to madness. Anduin continues, where she failed... and will be the one to bring peace i am sure of it. The burdens are heavy but he will be the one, i am sure of it. The Wrynn dynasty.. is one unfortunate one..
He who will lead the Armies of the Light as envisioned by Prophet Velen. It will be an epic.
An Karanir Thanagor
+Jameson VK Illidan said hi to that.
@Thinh Vo
Fuck Illidan, he and his futadari can kiss my retributionized ashbringer dick.
I think i just made ALOT of edgelords man. LOL!
This is beyond beautiful... words can not make justice to this piece.
28 people are clearly deaf. How do you dislike this..how?
must be miss clicks?
36 people are Rift fans.
Maybe they are horde dislikes
Its because wow is not free ? I dont know
No, it's because they think SWTOR is better, no hate because I like SWTOR too...
Absolutely love this song! The beginning is my alarm every morning
Seriously, just when we Horde players started to like Varian, they killed him. That's a low blow Blizzard!
I know right?! He won a lot of respect from me near the end of Pandaria and in the legion trailer. Dudes a fucking boss.
Maybe blizzard killed him to call both Alliance and Horde together against a greater foe. Instead of just telling us to, that maybe we would want to fight when great heroes and good people fall around us.
An karanir thranador, long live King Anduin.
Aka'magosh, For the Horde!
+Jesse Allen aye For Azeroth!!
If there is any music to give you the most feelings, it's this one. 10/10
damn son, that's so beautiful
The flute at the start i love so so so much
Why are you doing this to me right now ... so beautiful
Honestly, one of my most favourite soundtracks, not only in WoW, but anywhere. Legion hype!
Am I the only one wondering how the hell they didn't use Blizzard composers to make movie music?!? I still don't get it ffs,it would be even more epic, how can't they see this?Am I the only one constantly saying this?!
It's easier to pay Two Steps From Hell and use their music that is already made rather than with Blizzard where they pride themselves in what they do.
This really hits after Anduin was discouraged since he thought he wasn't ready.
This made me cry after Varian's death -.- Last time I cried was when our King Arthas died :(
same 😭😭
for the lich king!
FOR GARROSH!, FOR THE TRUE HORDE!!
la mejor cancion.. for ever!! and ever!!... de todos los tiempos... de videojuegos!!..
Heartrendingly beautiful.
The part from 5:22 - 5:30 always gives me chills. Anytime I hear a similar arrangement in any song or music, I always upvote the piece.
Anduin Llane of House Wrynn, first of his name, King of Stormwind and High King of the Alliance. An Karanir Thanagor!
He is not high king. Greymane is. :/
Greymane was a coward when it came to the Legion for the first time. Him I would never swear allegiance.
+Tarreth Stormcall wrong.
According to someone on reddit 6:30 Has a hint of a sad Stormwind theme.
It pretty much starts right away. The solo voice at the beginning is a "sad" version of the opening chorus for the original Stormwind music: ua-cam.com/video/7rrz9ZFyDPY/v-deo.html
Oh yeah, very true.
It still makes me so sad for poor Anduin.
Sounds more like Desiigner-Panda lol
the whole thing is basically a sad, extended Stormwind thing.
I absolutely love this music and it.... right in the heart.
one word-Masterpiece!
14:43 "What a King...MUST do." 'YAAAAAH, YAAAAH, YAH YAH-YAH-YAH-YAH"
How amazing is this? I have no words, help me out.. I ..
♥♥♥♥♥♥
Everyone on Anduin before Legion: A pansy priest boy
Everyone on Anduin upon hearing this song: *He's god now. He is the king of kings. I'll die for him on god*
8 people were blinded by their tears and accidentally hit dislike XP.
Damn this beginning...goosebumps all around the body..
It seems it was one of the Themes in the reveal trailer.
Also, I guess it is the Female Choir (a la Invincible) Russel Brower talked about in his Dublin VGL Interview.
Legion Cinematic*
Invincible had a female choir? Well, I guess the choir had women as well as men, but I thought the main singer was a boy/young man...?
+Sirah1981 Yeah I think it was originally a young boy. But maybe it was a woman since it was a woman that sang Invincible in many "Live concert". But hey, it's a detail.
+Sirah1981 I'm fairly sure it was a female choir the first time we heard Invincible in the last seconds of Frozen Throne cinematic.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm Horde since forever, but.... WHAT THE HELL DUDE, FOR THE ALLIANCE, LONG LIVE KING ANDUIN!!
We've fought demons, Death itself, Even the end of the world as well as our very emotions. We've defeated the Legion once and we'll do it again not as Alliance or Horde but as One. For Azeroth!!!
...I just realized anduin knew our personal progress. :O
