      Timothy Hudson Most vegans likes the flavour, but not the cruelty. Grow up please...

    • @timothyhudson9976
      @timothyhudson9976 6 років тому +3

      It's you who need to get out of your hypocritical thinking and grow. Vegans crave and miss meat. If it wasn't good for humans it would have never been eaten in the 1st place. 99.5 % of the planet agrees with me. Cruelty are vegans believing plants are disposable life forms. Is it OK to kill rats, mice, and other vermin in plant crops to keep them healthy? Vegans pick and choose which animals to save and which are pests. In the end, cruelty is perception.

    • @timothyhudson9976
      @timothyhudson9976 6 років тому +5

      Oh for goodness sake, vegans try their best of find fault with people who eat meat. Lie about meat's health properties. Propagandize how harmful to the Earth eating meat is. Vegans will never be respected until they start being honest.

    • @timothyhudson9976
      @timothyhudson9976 6 років тому +6

      Eating cholesterol does not cause a build up of cholesterol. That is a fallacy. Eating overall calories loaded with sugars do.

    • @timothyhudson9976
      @timothyhudson9976 6 років тому +6

      Vegans calling other groups names does not make vegans look smarter or more correct. Science is on the side of SUGAR being the ultimate cause of bad cholesterol in humans. Do some real research outside of vegan non-sense sites of propaganda against eating meat...AND please don't give data from 1992..Current up to date information is on on the side of sugars as the main cause of inflammation, diabetes, obesity, raised insulin levels and bad cholesterol levels.

    • @timothyhudson9976
      @timothyhudson9976 6 років тому +4

      No, saturated fats are not. Eating saturated fats VOID of sugar and excess calories promote NO cholesterol or inflammatory build up. It's all the calories TOGETHER people consume from all sources combined with a sedimentary life which cause health problems. A ketosis diet has been proven to lower cholesterol for millions. This is why the Atkins diet is so popular. A ketosis diet/Atkins low carb diet has tons of cholesterol in it. Guess what, the eaten cholesterol is partially metabolized and changed into fat but most filtered out. It's the sugary carbs people eat which is the main culprit here. Saturated fats get a bad rap because those who are obese with cholesterol problems eat both at UnGodly levels daily. Of course the system is going to overload clogging up. .You really need to read UP TO DATE real research on this.

      I love how you're so picky about research, yet don't post any yourself. And it's not like research from 1992 is any worse than current research. Or are you saying that human physiology has changed so significantly since then that back then you couldn't have produced results as accurate as today? Because if you're not, then you should point out why the methods used in the previously mentioned studies are invalid.

    That's a great idea for people transitioning to veganism :) A suggestion for a future episode would be a full day of eating whole-food (i.e. whole grains, beans, lentils, fruits, vegetables)

    • @alanlittle4589
      @alanlittle4589 6 років тому +1

      Agreed. This stuff is great for weaning off meat diet. Not much existed in 90's, so I never really had it much, and now I look at beans, mushrooms, nuts, seeds and lentils as meaty texture protein food. I know that Vivera steak is vegan. But to me it looks awful, it looks like meat and that is so un-appealing.

    • @TheLadyDelirium

      Alan Little Me and my sister are planning a vegan BBQ for family. We're gonna buy the fake meat products to show them that they can eat the same thing without the cruelty. I personally don't like the 'meaty' texture but for my sister who's been vegan for a month they are great for transitioning.

    Too many meat replacements and processed foods for me... but you make a good point that this is to show how you can easily replace an animal based diet with a plant based version. Whole foods plant based is obviously MUCH better for health, but that isn’t for everyone and you rightly point this out. Great job of showing what’s possible!!!! It’s 2018!!!!!! No reason to support animal cruelty! ✌️

    Hi Joey! I'm a fellow vegan of nearly 2 years and a recent subscriber. I love your activism content as it's opened my eyes to a new way to have conversations with non vegans and has taught me how to present myself in discussions about health, ethics and animal rights. I must say though - I LOVE that you posted this type of video. I think this is almost ad important to our message as the debate videos. Non vegans have trouble giving up meat because they feel like they are losing something or giving up something. They think we just eat salads and fruits but we eat so many delicious foods!! I think it's important for nom vegans to realise that you aren't giving up anything - you're gaining so much by transitioning to this lifestyle. It's not about elimination when it comes to food...but SUBSTITUTION. You're fantastic Joey. Thank you for all that you do for us and for the animals. Peace and love my friend ♡

      Yeah, make plant food look taste and smell like meat, eggs, and dairy. YUM! Vegans crave meat bad. They go to such lengths to morph bland plant foods into animal foods WHILE at the same time claiming humans are not carnivorous by nature....Such a cool philosophy!

    • @timothyhudson9976
      @timothyhudson9976 6 років тому

      The only sad lives here are vegans pretending they don't crave meat. The very act of morphing plant matter into pretend meat is proof vegans want meat. Oh, vegans can't handle some truths so 5th grade name calling is all they have left.

    I think many vegans underestimate the health factor. Most people don't care about animals, they are just too selfish and animals are objects for them. They don't even want to watch a documentary. Most people in Western countries are older people, not open to new things. If you eat processed foods (with coconut oil etc.) and get the normal diseases people get with the traditional diet, people ask:" Why change my diet at all?"
    In my view it is much better to be healthy and make people curious to try veganism and also get rid of most of their health issues. Then the next step is easy to understand for them: "If traditional food is bad food for us, then we can leave the animals alone, we don't need farms."

    Obviously not healthy, but healthier than animal products. Hopefully you don't eat this way 24/7, but it's fantastic to show people that you really can eat anything and everything as a vegan that you enjoyed before going vegan. Great job Joey!!! I do find it a little ironic how the channel name is Joey "Carbstrong", though, when all of the processed alternatives are so high in fat... But do whatever you need to do to stay vegan, whether that be guzzling an entire bottle of olive every morning or eating healthier like Freelee my queen.

    • @jeremebonesaw
      @jeremebonesaw 6 років тому +6

      I agree. I didn't like what he said about eating whatever as long as it's vegan. Health is a touchy subject and him saying that isn't a good message when it comes to making sure fans stay healthy. I know we are all responsible, but if these people are going to be role models, they should take some responsibility for who they are influencing.

    • @gffff68u
      @gffff68u 6 років тому +8

      jeremebonesaw I totally agree, but I don't think this video was for vegans specifically, but for non vegans who "need" "their" "bacon" or whatever. He did say that this isn't the healthiest way to eat and that this wasn't a health video, though. Anyway, nice chat. 😀

    • @Jefffsurf
      @Jefffsurf 6 років тому +1

      I would argue that Freelee isn’t exactly the pinnacle of health either (I haven’t watched her in a while so I could be wrong) but she is certainly healthier than the foods shown here 😆. It’s a poor misconception that “vegan” automatically denotes something at “healthy” when you can still eat extremely unhealthy as a vegan. WFPB = healthy

    • @ishkaboooo
      @ishkaboooo 6 років тому

      For gods sake he is trying to show non vegans that we can have the same food. We all like a bit of junk food and dont want to live on broccali. I eat well 5 days of the week but also like my vegan burgers and chips. This video for new vegans who think there nothing to eat . You should be phraseing him for showing them there is . Relax and enjoy all our plant based food we have today

    Just egg for the eggs is great. I pad it put with tofu and black salt. A little bit of mashed avocado for the fatty yolk like content. As well as salt and pepper, green onion or chives and nutritional yeast.
    Can do quiche with whipped up aquafaba and just egg. It's great made from mung bean flour

Gardein beef patties are one of the most convincing supermarket bought meat alternatives I've had too.

Then once it's browned enough, I pour in water to mix up the spices, until it evaporates, and add nootch. So yummy. Way healthier than chicken menstration, and super tasty. Your vid was great!! We get most of our food from Sainsbury’s. they have a really good range, with more on the way? The Swedish glacé ice cream is our favourite too. We make a sundae with it. In a tall glass, quarter fill with berries, then the ice cream, then I purée down some berries to make a juice to drizzle over the top. Stick a wafer in the top, voila! Very yummy 😋

      Kyle B I just don't meat going out of the food industry anytime soon. The government cannot tax fruit or veg since it can be grown anywhere. Whereas, meat can be taxed and to be a farmer or butcher you need a license in some countries. Imagine how much money the government makes just from meat!

      Zutang777 Plastic free is extremely difficult, I do the best I can, been reducing for some time now, still got more to go though, eating healthy does help, fresh fruits and veggies usually don't come in plastic, big bag of rice can last for months, over all less plastic than eating junk foods everyday

    For anyone looking to replicate the brekky - don't crisp up the vegan bacon otherwise it tastes like cardboard, needs to remain soft and just gently warmed through, then its super tasty :) You can absolutely make it healthy too by baking everything without oil, even hash browns - can make them yourself by keeping the skin on (for fibre!) and just grate the potato into a bowl, add some onion or just onion powder, then flatten into circles about 1-2cm thick and dry bake it until its crisp on the outside. Vegan cooking is exciting and it can all be healthy and tasty simultaneously! :D
