- Headphones on! People always ask about the diets of our animals and how they eat, so we decided to show you this omnivorous Virginia Opossum devouring her lunch--in the form of dialogue-free ear tingles. If you like goosebumps and cringing, enjoy.

Lil guys dont get the respect they deserve in most cases. Most have hard short lives. I saw a oppossum go in my shed end of winter. I started putting food and water there for him. It was ate every morning. Gave a variety. He loved grapes and eggs. Only a week later I found him laying next to the shed barely alive in freezing rain. Poor little guy had no feet. They must have frozen off. All I could do is wrap him in a blanket, take him into my utility room away from pets, dry him, cover him again. He seemed to regain some movement and kept licking. I spoon fed him some water he lapped it up. But before I could take him to rehab next morning he passed. Broke my heart, but, he was warm, wasnt alone and I hope he knows someone loved him. I'm a believer he is restored, warm, healthy and happy. Loved in the most beautiful heaven. God bless you Mr. Stub. Next winter I will have many warm cozy boxes set up in that shed for any visitor who needs a home, in your honor lil guy.
This is finna make me cry bro.
@@peachpie3597 same 😭😭 rip Mr. Stub ❤
Rip God bless
Oh how sad Debi. Bless his little feet. Thank you for what you did for Mr. Stub & what you continue doing for future opossums. I too believe Mr. Stub is warm & happy with all of his precious little toes & a full tummy along with all of the ones that have gone before him. 🥰🙏
Love forever to you and Mr Stubs 🤍
Phenomenal. My roommate and I rate 12/10. Only regret: didn’t get to hear him cronch a carrot :(
Last summer we had a opossum that would come through our cat door, come into our home office, climb up on my desk and I'd feed him grapes, nuts and cheese and I pet him. We had an agreement if he wanted to eat he had to let me pet him and if I want to pet him I had to feed him. After eating he's curl up in the corner and nap. There is nothing like listening to a opossum snoring.

I spent about 4 years studying these guys. Nothing sweeter than to hear them smack their lips wating something delicious
i could seriously watch possums eat all the time, for the rest of my life 😭💗 so cute
They make me feel so happy, enjoying their munchies..
She's such a healthy baby, eating her fish and veggies! 💕💕
and eggs! yum..lots of protein here
The one dislike is the mother because she’s chewing with her mouth open and doesn’t understand what asmr is
this is adorable! I've recently became obsessed with Opposums so finding this makes me super happy 🥺💖
Yesterday morning I found a baby opossum about the size of my hand hanging from her head that was stuck between two branches while ants were trying to get at her and I took her in. I wasn't sure how long she'd been hanging there tho I do remember seeing larger opossums outside my window the night prior and hearing the constant squeaky noises they make. Her mom was nowhere to be found in broad daylight of course so after having her for a day and a half we gave her to a wildlife rehabilitator who said he'd release her in a couple of days. Even though we spent only a short while together I miss her dearly as if I've lost an old friend. I miss how she'd crawl into my hoodie pocket to sleep and sometimes make her way to my shoulder. She never bit me once and was very calm the whole time, her little claws were good at gripping but never hurt.
This video is my attempt to sleep tonight.
Watched from beginning to end, no shame.
Yes, I googled ‘opossum asmr’ specifically
Look at those lil hands omg 😱😻
Why is it that when humans smack their lips when they eat, it's revolting, but when animals do it, it's adorable?
Best thing I've heard and seen all day, opossums are just one of the most amazing and adorable animals to me so far. This really is under rated as hell.
Possums are very Loud Eater's!! 😂 Munching and crunching lol 😆 , I 💗 opossums...
I sneak, apples, bananas and chicken out by our window just to hear them and get entertained by my husband asking what the hell that noise is 😂 at 1 am in the morning . We have 3 opossums 🤣
@@spazchicken1 woah that's pretty cool I wish I was there with you and your husband to see the possums, I rarely see possums were I live in southern California..
@@joshuawylie9592 hahaha we are in SoCal too. San Diego

Opossum you mean?
@@thisprofilepictureis4nothi946 There's two ways to spell it, in some country it's possum in some other opposum, idk @w@
Steven de Mayo they’re scary I
I have a rescued opossum that can't be released. I've had her a year. She is blind in one eye and her leg is messed up, but she can still get around fairly well. I let her outside sometimes and she will disappear for an hour or so and come back to the back door and paw at it. Just this week I realized that she had company on one of her short walks!!!! Yep, her little pouch is full of babies! I'm so excited. Don't worry.....I'll let them go as soon as they are ready, I''m not about turning wildlife into pets. But mama is the greatest animal I've ever known.
i’m 7 months late, but this is awesome 💞🥺😳💖💓💕
How sweet to show this. Pretty calm, female I presume. Tail from this perspective looks a bit out sized, like swollen, just noticing, not criticizing. I've raised several orphaned clutches of little ones and wintered over some until mating season begins in early February. Did not have any issues with diet or fattied tails, they do so well with simplicity and variety. Pity for those of us who like to be hands on, they live only a couple or so years and are challenging to keep because of nocturnal living. I did not cage them, they adapted well to a provided toilet spot and didn't miss once, remarkable. They bloom with freedom and their browsing life in the wild suits them ideally.
She didn't want to eat her vegetables 😂🤣 just like a child
she hates veggies
@@greatplainsnaturecenter2002 The ones that come here to eat on my back porch don’t eat vegetables! They love grapes and bananas and apples and pears and cat food, which is what brought them in the first place! I hoped they would like carrots, but they don’t. And boiled eggs… Most of the time, they eat the yolk and leave the white with the shell. I can always tell when they’ve been there because there’s not one piece of cat food left and the water is ridiculously dirty! LOL
How does so much fish fit into so little possum?
Too cute I died
Only video I’ve ever seen with zero dislikes. 03/05/2020 2:45 PM pst.
A well balanced meal 🥘!

My Harry , ate so loud I had to turn my tv up. This is absolutely hilarious!!!!!!!😳👍💝💝💝
I have a opossum right n9w.
why is it eating so politely
I was watching this while eating breakfast to feel like I was eating with jim
Water, please. 👀
Just like me, goes for the meat and eggs first, way to go buddy!
The fruit next for a sweet treat, he didn’t touch the veggies just like me!
I don't think humans and possums should have the exact same diet 😅Better eat your veggies too if you want to live long and healthy 💪 I prefer to skip the meat and eggs-part, works even better!

5:44 I'm sorry, but they look like oversized mice.

Sometimes I wish I could be an , opossum! 😐
she loves those sardines!
Where is the water, he almost chocked on the egg.
I saw that.. He had a hard time with that egg
Dang possum made me hungry!
It is a contradiction that we should so loathe watching people eating, but strongly love watching animals eat.
The microphone just kills me, no need for that!!!😘😘
Fumbles with food 1:00
Guy is eating better than the average human. XD
What is this most wonderous video 😍😍😍

Sure this diet isn't for a pregnant lady?
Just like me, I eat all the meats 🥩 first. 😕😐
Omg I’m scared 😱 they’re creepy
Heh, yes, some aspect of them bring out the "willies" in some folks. I thought as much until in my late '40s when I was hired as a park ranger for a drive-through exotic animal park and we were discouraging opossums and raccoons from raiding the Canada goose nests. An opossum was brought to me one evening, I think as a prank as I lived on the park grounds. Was a female who gave birth that same night in a cage in our spare bedroom. She was very docile and we fell in love with here, she stayed for a couple days and then we took her to a remote spot about a mile distant in the country. She was back in a couple days, snooping around a bush next to our house and I picked her up again, it was like a pre-arranged meeting. Ever since, I've been enthralled with them, they are so available and common, people do repel from them as they can look slckly and odd but it's our perceptions that are messed up, they're fine little folks.
@@whalesong999 Great experience! Thanks for sharing. Always been a possum fan as well.
@@whalesong999 😊Possums look like super cute swamp rats(I know that they’re marsupials, and are beneficial to the environment.)
They're such an interesting mixture of creepy and cute! 😅🖤
Rodent! 😕
They are marsupials, they are more related to kangaroos than they are rats
they are so cute and just like every other animal all they want to do is survive
